It came exactly how I ordered it and tasted amazing. There is plenty of sauce on it which I love. The bread was nice and soft too! I wish there was one closer to my house. “What a GEM! And a hidden one at that.Celebrated Thanksgiving a bit early with #ThankYouThursday and decided to check out pot pie paradise after seeing the great reviews on Yelp. I'm not normally a pot pie type of person, but with the cold weather, it was definitely the way to go.Pot Pie Paradise is nestled in an industrial part of Hayward so it's a bit of a drive through back roads to get there. They've got a decent parking lot and when I stopped by after lunch time, it wasn't too busy. They have a really helpful menu that shows all the options they have for pies, sandwiches, and other lunch choices. It's also updated to show which pies they're sold out of. I wanted to try the bulgogi beef but unfortunately they were sold out that day. Instead, I went for the Thai chicken curry. The Thai chicken curry pot pie ($10) had noodles, green beans, chicken, and carrots in it. It was delicious! I don't usually have noodles with thai chicken curry but it worked here. It's a pretty good portion for lunch and can maybe even be shared with two people. Though for me, I ended up just having the rest later for dinner.The service was great and the staff was very helpful. I loved reading the newspaper articles they have posted around the shop as I waited. They've got lots of seating inside if you prefer to dine in but I opted to take it to-go.Such a great local business! I'll definitely be back to try other pot pie options.“

“I was traveling for work and decided to try this Famous Dave’s since I haven’t been to one in a while. I ended up showing up an hour before closing(had no idea they closed at 8pm on Wednesday) However my bartender Brittney let me know as I saw it fairly empty. Service was great as not many ppl there. No complaints on that part. Food came out fairly quick to my surprise (big thumbs up) Staff was very knowledgeable as they had answers to my questions. My service was great thank you Brittney!!! Drinks were good. “My husband and I spent our birthday dinner here in the Victorian house basement of this restaurant and had a wonderful meal. We ordered the chicken entree and the steak. We split the salad, had wine and a hot fudge sundae for dessert. It was delicious, wine was fabulous and the restaurant is cozy and quiet. Would come again!“
“Ordered a burger and fries for lunch. The fries were hot, crispy and perfectly salted. I ordered the 1/2 lb burger and it was adequately big, I loved that the bread is a French roll so it has that slightly toasted crispy outside. I finished half and was satisfied, the other half I ate for dinner and it was still good reheated. I noticed they also have some Korean / Asian food items on the menu so I am excited to try those for next time.“
“The Lorraine's cafe food truck was at my work today and I have to say it's the BEST fried chicken I've ever eaten. The breading was crispy, loaded with spices and flavor, but layered on thicker than the substantial hunk of meat which was perfectly cooked to juicy, mouth watering perfection. “My husband and I ended up here on a whim and it was the best decision of the day. The staff upon arrival was warm and welcoming and they maintained the same level of service throughout the visit. The food, might I add I'm not a fan of restaurant Mexican food at all, was AMAZING. It could have been just what I ordered so I'll have to visit again and try other meals but the choice for that day was nopales, chorizo and eggs and it was phenomenal. The atmosphere for my taste was 5 stars because I love little hole in the wall places that feel like home vs hustle n bustle big crowded locations but taking into consideration I'm an introvert and my preference doesn't reflect the masses I opted for 4 stars. “Val's hasn't reopened their dining room since the pandemic; you have to call a number posted on their front door and place your order over the phone. Though they have limited hours (Fridays and Saturdays 11-5) and their menu is limited to Papa and Mama burgers, a huge order of fries and drinks. Despite all this, I still feel that they have the best burgers around. I say this even though they got my order wrong. A good burger is a good burger, even with mustard and pickles (AND sweet relish--yuck!!).“
