We were in the area for an event at Cal State University & looked for something close on Yelp that was rated good. We got there at almost closing time (630 pm, they have very limited hours). we had the diablo shrimp meal & chili rellano/flauta meal. Everything was delicious, including the chips & salsa, & the flan for desert. I came for a chili relleno dinner plate and found home away from home. Enacio has been there 56 years. His brother inlayed all the table tops with tiles. He boasts all the food is made from scratch. What's not to love? You will be coddled with more than you asked for.

This place is amazing and has a rich history. The food is incredible, and Ignacio, our host, was fantastic. When it comes to Mexican cuisine, it can be challenging to find authentic flavors and quality ingredients, but this place nails it.
