“Nori Poke & Sushi is our best find for a healthy and tasty meal in Huntington Beach. The fish, vegetables, rice and fruit are hand prepared daily by Owner, Eric. The bowls, rolls and sushi provide a variety of options and flavors. You can dine indoors in the quaint and meticulous space or take your meal home to enjoy. Eric’s personality along with his staff are welcoming and friendly. If you give Nori Poke & Sushi a try, you’ll be there regularly too!“
“CHECK IT OUT! This is NOT just a grab and go place (as some people think). They make sushi FRESH, and you can custom order. Fish is really fresh, good quality, FRESH ginger, pickled wasabi available. Great to grab to go (not reallly a sit down spot, only maybe 4 chairs?), and have some yummy fresh and good quality sushi at home.“
“I always love coming to Tama Sushi when I’m in town! When I lived around here, it was my go to sushi place. My favorite rolls are the Hey Baby roll and the Deluxe Crunchy roll. I love that they have lots of vegan options as well! ?Vegetarian options: Tons of vegan sushi and appetizers! I have had some and they have delicious vegan rolls“
“Love this local spot. The ramen is so good, love the Spicy Miso especially. It's got good flavor but not too spicy. All the rolls have been yummy too! The vibe is anime which is super cute and casual. Service has always been solid even when they are busy. Have been back several times and it's consistently good!!“
“One of my favorite sushi to go to! Quality of fish and prices are unbeatable. The place gets quite busy so I recommend be there at least half hour before they open for dinner. Staff are friendly. Love Vincent one of the sushi chefs. I come here at least once or twice a month.“
“Yoooo this place is the best!!!! they have 2 Locations but this one!!!! Wow. Just amazing!! The Owner is the absolute best! She’s lively and lovely and makes sure you’re having the best experience possible!! I’m making this my new go to sushi spot!! If your searching for a new restaurant definitely try this place asap!“
“I still think about the sushi I had here. In fact I have dreams about it.I was born and raised in Hawaii where fresh seafood was always available and always delicious rarely ever frozen. I’ve also been stationed in Japan for a few years and ate a looot of sushi.Coming back to the states and moving to California, finding good sushi that can compare had been difficult but who knew a place like this was so near to where I lived??Definitely gonna become a regular here!Thank you!“
“Indulging in the flavors of this family-owned Thai gem is an experience you won't soon forget! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with the aroma of freshly prepared dishes. Their commitment to freshness is evident in every bite – whether you're diving into their delectable sushi rolls or savoring the succulent garlic and pepper steak. One of the highlights of dining here is the warm and welcoming atmosphere that comes with a family-owned establishment. You can feel the passion and dedication in every dish, as if each one is crafted with love and care. It's not just a meal; it's a culinary journey that leaves you craving for more.Their sushi selection is truly outstanding, with each roll bursting with flavor and expertly crafted. And when it comes to their garlic and pepper steak, prepare for a symphony of tastes that dance on your palate – tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned.Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, this Thai restaurant never disappoints. So if you're craving fresh, flavorful cuisine served with a side of familial warmth,Kid-friendliness: It’s not the best kid restaurant, but they are very accommodating for kids aswell.“
“Me and my husband have been ordering our sushi from here for years now. Usually just order takeout. Everything always tastes fresh and it looks appetizing as well. Two of my favorites are the Bolsa Chica roll and the pink lady roll, both are the no rice rolls which I like when I am wanting low carb options.Dietary restrictions: No rice rolls are amazing for those that need to limit their carbs.“
“Exceptionally excellent. Very impressive dining experience. I’m in town visiting relatives and my cousin has been looking for a place to call his favorite sushi spot - we tried a newer place - which was terrible - they had pictures on the menus, which was the first sign that it wasn’t a serious sushi restaurant. We ordered some maki - tried it - wasn’t good we left. We found Hashigo on google maps. As soon as we sat down at the sushi bar we knew that we came to the right place. Great selection / variety of fish - one easy tell if it’s a good sushi place is if they have either pickled or fresh wasabi. Which Hashigo has pickled. Very fresh fish - we ordered salmon, halibut, mackerel, bluefin, yellow tail … eel, and salmon Kama every bite was amazing - our chef was very personable. Very good knife skills. I’m convinced that a lot of the sushi restaurants in this area have fake reviews or people just don’t have any idea what good sushi tastes like. Eat here and Hashigo will become the place which you will compare the other sushi restaurants around too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ very good overall - this is my cousin’s new favorite sushi spot.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level - sidewalk ramps“
“The best local HB sushi restaurant! From a variety of tasty rolls, clean spot and the friendliest chefs and staff, you cannot go wrong. We always leave full and happy and have great conversations with the staff! This is a family ran restaurant, and they welcome everyone and make you feel at home. We will continue coming here!“
“The food is classic Japanese but I have to say the sushi is real and very fresh. Not premade soggy limp stuff. Their sushi bar and food is real. They prep and fillet the fresh fish there and cut and serve to order. My adult kids like the steak and that is very good too. I work nearby and noticed the place is always busy at lunch with lots of business men enjoying a good meal. Lunch servise is fast and respectful of short lunch hours for the business men. I go there often when I want to treat myself to a nice lunch, have business lunches with clients, and take the staff for a birthday dinner. Perfect place.“
“Nice place, nice experience, friendly staff, clean and organized. Small and at the same time big enough. Decent prices for the food. Did was really good and they make the best to keep people entertained. Definitely coming back with the family.Plenty of free parking.Recommended ??Dietary restrictions: They have options for vegetarians.“
“I highly recommend you try this place...OMG everything was spectacular!! Crab Wonton's, Californian Rolls, Walnut Shrimp & Charbroiled Lobster! My mouth is still watering and I am stuffed!! Best dinner in Huntington Beach by far!! Our Servers Michelle & David were the best!! What's a great dinner, THANK YOU SO MUCH!“
“Went around dinner time on Saturday night. It wasn’t too busy. They seated us right away. Very lovely atmosphere. Greeter and our server were very friendly. The food was amazing! We ordered the salmon delight roll and the balboa roll. I’m usually not a sushi person not that ambitious but decided to give it a try and they did not disappoint. I would definitely recommend eating here and would come back again if I’m in the area. Although one tiny gripe was my friend said the wasabi was alittle weak. Other than that everything else was great.“
“This is one of the BEST sushi places I have ever been to. The sushi is fresh, and the garlic edammame was the best I ever had; not drenched in oil, crispy garlic. There is a wine bar just next door to wait as they don't take reservations. Great experience. I live quite a ways away but would definitely drive back. I wish I took pictures!“
“Ordered New York & Shrimp to-go, white rice w/vegetables adding Miso soup. White rice was the best part, don't get me wrong the food was good just not worth $45.14. The Teriyaki sauce tasted like it was made by a white guy trying too hard to cook Japanese food. The vegetables were cooked perfectly! I became a bit spoiled for Japanese food in HB from eating at Matsu (Beach & Talbert) since 1978, but this was okay food, I really can't complain much. I am wondering why at 7:30PM on a Wednesday night the dining room was a ghost town?!?It was the best Japanese food I've had on Beach Blvd. in HB for a long time. Matsu has gone downhill since it changed ownership in the 90's, but I think I found my new favorite Japanese restaurant to eat at in HB.I think I was happy with my food overall, I'll give it a solid 7 out of 10. If the staff were a bit more friendly, I'd give you another point, let's see what happens the next time I visit this restaurant.Good job people. ?Parking: This restaurant is located in the old HB Fire Station across the street from Taco Bell, plenty of parking but would be better if it had a little bit more lighting.“
“Convenient and affordable place to get decent quality sushi. They're a little heavy-handed on the rice but the fish is good and some people might prefer that amount of rice to fill them up. Only complaint I really have is that sometimes the tv or music overhead is too loud, and if the local high school let their students out for lunch, the combination noise level quickly becomes pretty overstimulating, but that holds true for the other nearby restaurants as well.“
“I've ordered to go from them once while shopping next door at Mother's. The food and portions were pretty good for a small shop and it seemed they were accustomed to online/phone orders as they were pretty backed up. The front counter worker was very cool and apologized for the 20 minute wait but encouraged me to order online to wait less. I let him know it way my first time and next time I would heed his advice. I think the food was overall tasty and I would add them to the rotation. We ordered small bentos and a few rolls to sample the menu and we were pleasantly surprised.“
“It is only Take-out. However, the employees there are fabulous! The ladies recognize me or my voice when I call. We've only met during the pandemic, and even with a mask, they knew who I was. The sushi is phenomenal. I won't go anywhere else. And now we can order ourselves online instead of calling! I did it while I was in the store on my way home; so easy. They always call me when it's ready. 5 stars all the way!“
“This is the best Poke spot on this side of HB. Clean, friendly, fresh and the Vietnamese coffee is great! We also love the boba and the hot egg rolls. I'm not sure what changed, but this place is much better now! Rivals Poke Tiki in Costa Mesa for sure.“
“Didnt intend on having real deal Japanese cuisine but was lured in by the aroma in the parking lot. Glad I went in and got the black garlic mushroom pork ramen. Earthy deep flavors with the green onions, a good depth of flavor and nice change from miso broth. Ended ordering sushi roll made with rice paper crab yellowtail and Maguru and asparagus. Omg very happy tummy. 99 cent sapporo to wash it all down. Mango and green tea moshi to top it all off.Vegetarian options: Vegetables noodles, soy tofu plates, multiple salads.“
“The food was amazing, the food came out quickly and it was so delicious. It was expensive. The all you can eat was around $37 per person, if you’re really hungry it is worth it, but I’d suggest buying the rolls without the all you can eat. Other than that it was amazing, and they bring you a free ice cream at the end that was really good.“
“Really impressed with this place. A super simple model-serve whatever they catch-but done at a high level. Really good tacos (and a really good deal on Tues), really tasty Bear Flag hot sauce (please bottle more for sale!), and surprisingly good kimbucha margarita. Will definitely return again and again.“
“Absolutely the best place for poke in the Orange County. The choices and toppings are better than any other poke place I’ve been to so far. Been coming here for years and the manager Francisco is the greatest. The service from him and his staff is the best. Build your own poke and get all the toppings you want. A regular is good enough but if you are really hungry get a large. Topping are greater than other places and include spicy tuna and spicy crab. Choose the baja sauce or mix two sauce together, either way you’ll be satisfied.“
“Can't beat this happy hour. Tiki Drinks buy one get one free! Sushi is great quality and there is a fun hibachi situation in the back. My only beef is that they use Styrofoam for their to go containers so if you are eco-conscious, I suggest bringing your own or asking for tinfoil. not dog friendly.“
“We visited the new location after Hastings Ranch relocated here. It was early so we settled on their Happy Hour menu. Everything we ordered was very good. Their HH items are reasonably priced and the serving isn't reduced. They have hot sake and beer for $2 at HH. We were a little annoyed that our server was chatting with a customer every chance she could and we had a hard time getting her attention for another round of drinks and more sushi. The underground parking is uncomfortable.“
“Great quality of food. Ingredients are fresh and tasty. The handrolls are stuffed with chopped fish cubes rather than ground meat, which I love.Premium handrolls are worth trying. The A5 wagyu beef is so fatty and delicious. Uni is fresh and sweet with no weird taste.I also love that they have a wide selection of sides. And they are all delicious. Strongly recommend the edamame and furikake fries.Service is great except that the server forgot about some of our orders. But it’s understandable, we are party of 8 and ordered a bunch of different rolls not sets. They served the missing rolls right away after we mentioned it. Water is filled in time. Payments were settled smoothly(split b/w 4 cards).Parking is easier and right in front of the restaurant. They have outdoor and indoor seatings, which can accommodate a lot more people than the other locations.Overall a nice experience. Would recommend this place and come back when in the area.“
