“Love Avila's, been coming here for over a decade now and it has never disappointed. We gladly go out of our way and make the 30+ minute drive to HP for this wonderful place. Great authentic Mexican food that's flavorful and filling. Wide selection to choose from that will remind anyone who grew up around Abuelita's kitchen of those memories. Truly a staple in our family, a go-to for celebrations such as birthdays or anniversaries. Great friendly staff that tend to customers very well. Always have sporting events on ranging from soccer and football to baseball and basketball. Sing you a special rendition of "Happy Birthday" complete with a sombrero. Private parking lot with security for added assurance. Be sure to pick up one of their tasty lollipops on your way out!“
“We were looking for a place with a good menudo...we passed here twice...we looked at it alone...but we came back and gave it a chance...we don't regret it...The menudo has a very good flavor..it has a very good texture and what I liked the most was that it was very well served...the tacos were very tasty..excellent place !!..100% recommended!..“
“First time trying this place and i let the cashier know and they were welcoming. She recommended the tacos dorados de brirria and they were gas 10/10. I ate a burrito and it was a . solid 9. I was dissatisfied with the Horchata it tasted like gas station horchata but with a little more sugar. Horchata was a 6.5/10. Other than that the whole experience was amazing. This business has got itself another customer .“
“Saw a tent in the parking lot when I was going home, saw that they were selling Arroz con Leche and Champurrado so I decided to buy some since it was a cold night. The lady is so sweet and nice, received my order in like 5 mins. I will definitely go back, dine in and try out some food.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu“

“Love this spot! It's absolutely amazing, beautiful interior and wonderful staff. Their staff are just so helpful and nice it makes me always wanna go back They also have great food the portions are just right to make you full and taste so so amazing. I would have to rate a 10/10 for me will forever love this place.“
“Been coming here for years. The ladies and owner are very nice. I usually fill up my water gallons $1 for the 5 gallon. I've tried some of their food items, not a fan of raspados; their ice is too chunky and gets tiring to chew. They should get a better ice shaving machine. Other than that, cool place.“
“The lady at the front is a sweetheart. Literally the loving kind way she speaks to clients (in Spanish) makes you feel like you're being served food by your Latin Tia or mom . I went here on my break -random find. She suggested her most sold torta a the Argentinian and the Cuban . Argentinian was good veggies fresh bread soft . I'll be back great little hole in the wall“
“Food is authentically Mexican food with handmade tortillas. Very good flavor and the plate is very well served -$16 plate of three guisado options with an agua de Jamaica. It’s located in the corner of Florence and Malabar. Not much seating area. The server was nice and accommodating.“
“I love this restaurant and the family that owns it. It is hands down the best and most authentic Mexican food in California.I stumbled it across it in 2017 and have been driving out of my way to return almost daily since. I love the staff, their attention to detail, professionalism, and promptness. The food is made fresh, and ingredients are superior and truly give farm to table. I am obsessed with the variety of flavors, richness, and continuity of their dishes. My order tastes like perfection every time and I will be a customer for life.“
“Just a Hispanic craving some good ol chilaquilles this morning ....I decided to try this place mexico 86 ! Oh man oh man where do I start delicious scrumtious savoring Mexican food straight fire the birria was a 10 the chilaquilles was a 10 it was all good and service was great very nice people open for 34 years come show your people some love !!! Delicious !!!“
“My favorite place, of the weekend's the birria de res, and the one with goat is bomb. The lady serves me as if I were a person, already known for years, and my friend the cosinero, sela the raffle, I personally recommend the place to you Whatever they order to eat, everything is delicious, and well prepared.“
“I went here today out of curiosity with my brother. I usually go to smaller, or lesser known restaurants cause people seem to judge by first look and usually never give them chances.Oh boy those people really are missing out!! This place sells $1 fish tacos and I paid less than $20 for my brother and I. I bought 10 tacos and got full from them and still had leftover, while my brother had a quesadilla and his was stuffed with meat, very pleasantly surprised not gonna lie. Their fish tacos are very tasty and definitely recommend them for people who can't spend much. They also have other stuff on the menus that I can't wait to try next time I come!!Service was nice, the lady was very kind and went smoothly. I think there were two people working there? Which I understand why you have to wait a while to get your food, but your food will always come fresh and you will be very satisfied!! I left them a tip since I could tell they really worked hard on our food.“
“Taqueria with a stand outside the brick and mortar. Friendly service. Asada, Al pastor, cabeza, suadero were the meat options I had tried. Serve yourself free salsa station as well as sodas or aguas frescas for sale. $20 got me 8 tacos and a medium aguas fresca. Will come back.“
“I love the al pastor tacos 10/10 recommended. There's enough parking on the side, which is good. I like how fast the line was for it being long. Thereweres 10 peopl, and I barely waited 5 minutes. Overall, it was a great wait time and amazing tasting tacos. And they also have great salsas verde y roja con buenisimos agua refrescasas!“
“The place is always packed but they are fast with the orders, very accurate, and good service there.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options that's what is so great about this place.theres a veggies burrito, I do not know if vegetarians eat cheese but you can get quesadilladParking: It's a plaza so there is parking but again you may have to park on the street of by the food for less, and to get out is tricky just cause it's a busy street it's on florence and Santa fe“
“I’d been meaning to check Andy’s out for several months and finally got the chance recently on a Tuesday afternoon around 3p.m. Very nice!I got the 1/4 cheeseburger combo that came with fries (great seasoning) and a small side salad. My friend got the carne asada burrito. You order at the counter and they’ll bring the food over to your table. We barely sat down and the food was ready!Neither one of us could finish our lunch, so we had delicious leftovers for the next day. Everything tasted great. My cheeseburger came with a single slice of cheese that got lost among the other toppings. Maybe use 2 slices to make it nice and cheesy?Plenty of seating, inside and out. I noticed there was a 50-cent charge for using my debit card. Great attentive, friendly service. We’ll definitely be back to check out other options from their huge menu. Prices were a little higher than traditional fast food, but quality was so much better, and I always prefer supporting a local family business. Gracias!Parking: Plenty of spaces mid-afternoon. Looks like there’s a lot of drive-thru business too.“
“Food is amazing I live about 15 minutes away & never hesitate to commute for those tortas they are always freshly made & delicious As for the price it is a bit expensive but now & days everything could be but if you want a torta for a quick bite this is the place“
“The place to be on a Friday night. We stumbled into this place looking for a late night bite while craving Mexican food and ended up at an open mic karaoke night that proved to be fun and exciting, not to mention absolutely delicious. We had the Mojarra Frita which is a whole fish fried and served with rice, beans and salad. An absolutely amazing experience and delicious dinner“
“If you are looking for some crispy, tasty, and satisfying sopes, this is your place. The meat and the beans are really well seasoned. The restaurant does not offer lemon/other condiments, but that’s because the food does not need the extra stuff. The red salsa has good flavor and has the right amount of spice.Prices are decent; not overpriced. This little gem might not look like much, but it’s definitely worth the try; now I come here often.“
“What an institution! I grew up down the street from this place and visit every time I visit my Mama from the Bay Area. Excellent carnitas and chicharron, and we love to combine both in our tacos. Wonderful service, the green and the red salsa are both good and I feel blessed this place is alive and well after so many decades in business.“
“I am IN LOVE with their chilli cheese fries, I don’t live near by but when I do getting their chilli cheese fries is worth it. I hope this place never closes down, i don’t know what I’d do if I couldn’t have their chilli cheese fries.“
“Wow, this restaurant I discovered a few weeks ago is absolutely delightful! I just dined there yesterday with my wife and kids and the food is exquisite, and the service provided by our server Maria was beyond words. She was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the menu and took great care of my wife and kids.I had such a wonderful experience at the restaurant although it’s small, it’s very comforting. Maria was exceptional with everything couldn’t ask for a better server, and it has become one of my new favorite places to enjoy quality time with friends and family. It's really disheartening to come across negative reviews from people who seem to enjoy causing trouble. It's unfortunate that there are individuals like that out there. However, despite that, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant with a perfect 10 out of 10 rating. It's definitely worth experiencing for yourself! 100% Delicious Sinaloense Mariscos??“
“I'm confused about the bad reviews as a first timer I had a good experience food was delicious, I ordered myself pozole which definitely taste like home and my sister tried their handmade tortilla asada tacos and it was def a 10/10 I ordered from doordash and my food was still hot and nicely packed it didn't take too long to get to me, I would definitely try their other items next time“
“Hardly leave reviews but this is a must Lovedddddd , second time trying from here and the TRIO try de 9" hit the spot , delicious, spicy, flavor was there it is an absolute must try , so glad I found this hidden gem for me on doordash ! Will definitely be my go to for seafood.“
“I ordered all of each tacos: Asada, Adobada, Pollo, Chorizo, Mushroom with Cebollitas with Aqua Fresca and it was the bomb! My boyfriend ordered Papa Loka with Adobada with Guacamole with Jamaica. I took a taste test and it was good and huge! Enough to share with two people.Vegetarian options: They have mushrooms tacos which are my favorite for vegan eaters.Parking: Come early to get a spot in front of the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: You can take your kids to eat here.“
