Complete disappointment. Booked a table for my birthday and I am so sad I picked capital. Not only was the food a 2 out of 10 but the ambiance was cheap and dirty. I don’t know what was worse the lack of service or the fact they pushed dirty bins of soiled plates and buckets of old food prep through the restaurant with active diners.

This used to be a great restaurant, now the food is fair service was slow however that could be because of covid and no employees.

Food is really good, but skip the cocktails.

- average food- average to below average service (charged us almost 20% tip anyways)- very expensive for dimsum of this quality (came out to be averaged $8-10 per plate!! Much more than most dimsum)- charged us for tea= Not worth itI notice that a lot of the reviews are coming from non-Chinese people. You guys should branch out more.

Portion was big. Dim sum was yummy!

Great dim sum on a Sunday afternoon. Great selection and the food comes out fast. Top recommendations are the coconut jelly dessert. It has a nice cold temperature and has a layered Red bean paste that's not overly sweet. Also the chow fun noodles with beef are solid!

Had a business lunch here before we all attended the Rams Training camp at UC Irvine Monday 9th. Upon arrival we waited 6 mins at the front kiosk for a host to seat us with reservations for 4. Not until I walked up to the cashier did we at last got seated at a table. The place was only 1/2 full! At 12:45p. We were offered 1 dim sim menu which was difficult for the other 3 persons to look at the offerings. Would have been better if we all were given a menu each. The food was ok at best but have been here a dozen times in the past years and it seems that the quality of the dim sum has fallen off! Not once did a server stop by our table for tea and water refills. For the cost of lunch I would suggest someplace other than Capital for a business lunch!

I couldn't understand why this place had only 3 stars when the food is decent, price is average for Irvine and space looks clean too. It's a pretty great option for dim sum and parties within the 20min drive around the area. I enjoy my visits and orders because it's good enough. Tasty, clean and inviting. Have some food and then stroll around the Irvine Spectrum. Happy stomach and happy day.

Good food and service

The chicken we ordered for grandson had strong smell and terrible taste , chicken was spoiled

Food was good and tasty. Service left a lot to be desired. We dined in and had the regular set up with actual plates and tea. When we asked for the sauces, they brought them to us in take out containers instead of the small bowls every other table had. We had to ask for the regular set up. I couldn't understand it, it put a damper on the evening. Can't say I'd go back.

Took my in-laws for lunch. We had only dim-sum and it was amazing. Everything tasted delicious - pork dumplings, chicken dumplings, pork ribs in a sauce and seasoned string beans. Fantastic!

Printed menu had a very minimal selection compared with online. No descriptions of food and service wasn’t overly helpful. Food was okay but overpriced.

Dinner was delicious! We were not sure what to expect on our first visit in. We had a shrimp dish, a tofu dish, and the house green beans. Every sauce was nuanced and really delicious. Nice wine list as well. We had a bottle of Cakebread Chardonnay. Service is professional and timely. We never wanted for a glass filled or the next dish arriving. Best Chinese food around!
