The atmosphere is amazing for the price. Really classy ambiance. I wasn't dressed good enough for the event. The dishes have gotten small, but the prices has gone up. But it's a great place for a first date.Vegetarian options: The vegan options are okay, but falafel was super dry. I requested sauce to eat with it.

3/9/2024Had a wonderful dinner at Caspian in Foothill Ranch. We were taking to a lovely table near a window and immediately had water and a friendly greeting from Moses, one of the service attendants. Moses was professional, friendly, and kind. Brenda, our server, came by, and we ordered drinks and the kashk bademjan with cucumber and bread as an appetizer. The dish was fantastic. We even ordered one after dinner with their basmati rice, which is simply fantastic. For dinner, we ordered the koobideh. My wife had the beef koobideh with rice and veggies as well as walnut sauce. I had the chicken and beef koobideh with the same array of sides. Brenda was attentive and quite friendly, professional, and kind as well. The food was well prepared and presented. We also had Reza stop by and say hello as he had helped us many times and is a very kind and friendly man. After dinner, we had homemade pistachio ice cream and coffee. The restaurant manager also stopped by and provided us information on hosting events and catering that the restaurant offers, which is quite attractive. The background music and live performances are quite tasteful, and the ambiance is pleasant and uplifting. Highly recommended1/19/2024Another enjoyable dining experience at Caspian in Foothill Ranch. We had reservations at 6 pm and met Ali at the front entry, who took us to a romantic table for two. Ali graciously took our drink order, and I started with a shot of Arak, and my wife had a hot tea and a homemade doogh. Ali also took our appetizer order of Kashk Bademjan with bread and cucumbers. What a terrific way to start dinner. The husband and wife music performers were excellent with classic sounds from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s.Ali was very kind and attentive, which made our experience that much nicer. Ali took our entree order with my wife having the rainbow trout with sabzee, and I had the koobideh combo of chicken and beef. Of course, Ali brought me another shot of Arak, which made the music and experience even better. After dinner, we chatted and listened to the wonderful music while dancing in our seats, lol. After a while of nice conversation and chair dance moves, Ali stopped by, and we ordered the homemade pistachio ice cream, a coffee and expresso which were heavenly. After a little more music and conversation, we left after a wonderful night at a restaurant I highly recommend. It is also a great place for parties, family get togethers, and business events. Cheers!Previous visitWhat an amazing evening at Caspian. Ali Shafiee was our server extraordinare and was so kind, professional, and had a very peaceful demeanor. We started with the eggplant, Kashk Bademjan, for an appetizer, and it was prepared perfectly and with slices cucumber. We also took an order home. I had four shots of Arak, and oh, so good. We ordered our entrees, which after the appetizer were fantastic. We had 2 koobideh combos with rice, and the presentation and overall taste were excellent. Ali was superb during the entire meal and so kind. I truly appreciated his wonderful service. The ambiance was positive and so peaceful with excellent background music until 6:30 p.m. when the two person band combo played an excellent array of tunes. The entrees were quite tasty and enjoyable, and we had a wonderful time. We then ordered the homemade persian pistachio ice cream with expresso and cappuccino. This was our first visit, and we simply loved every aspect of our dining experience. My wife is from Tehran and my family from Sicily, and I must say the chefs are amazing and the food is served hot and tasty.Ask for Ali as he is an amazing person, kind and very attentive.Highly recommended.

Food was really good and so was the service. Too loud with music and entertainment though.
Food is excellent here. A great variety of selection of food from meat to fish to vegetarian options. Even have good selection of food for children who are picky. Service outstanding even have manager come to our table to greet us. I feel that it is a nice old tradition. On weekends they have live music and have a full bar and private room available.Bonus check in on Yelp and get a choice of house wine
This place is great for large, loud groups and celebrations. It is a huge space and fills up. We arrive at 6:30pm and it took a good 10 minutes of waiting in the lobby before we were greeted by anyone. We requested a quiet area of the restaurant and the hostess sat us at the far end of the large room but it only took about 30 minutes before the entire place was packed and hopping. We were a group of 4 and ordered a variety of dishes. Our rating of the food would be just ok. They did have impressive mocktails though, and the live music ? and beautiful belly dancer made our night fun. It’s really not about the food. It was fun to try, but we probably won’t head back anytime soon.

Although the food portion was not satisfying compared to the price, it was high quality and delicious. The best part of the night was the live dance and music.

The quality of live music was very ordinary. We went 8 years ago. The atmosphere was much betterAnd that it was our birthday, we told them the night before that we gave them the cake, wow, it was very unprofessional to play a birthday song, just take the name and take the cake to the table, then when they were supposed to bring our cake, no one, no song. It didn't work. Bringing the cake to the table with lighters and candles and telling them to light it yourself means that it was a surprise!!!! In Iran, they have a much better management of birthdays. After dinner, they play a birthday song, announce each other's names, and bring the cake to the table with Lighted candles
