Is this restaurant permanently closed? I went during the business hour this Wednesday and I just called (October 16th 2020 at 430PM) but no answers.

What a tasty lil dumpling house. The service is always quick and kind and the food is consistently good. My family and I have come here many times and we just keep coming back for their noodles, egg soup and lamb dumplings.. best part is their rarely a wait.. FYI I don’t know what’s up with the bad reviews, maybe the negative review customers are used to McDonald’s and pickup sticks.. if ur looking for something tasty and easy at diamond center this is the place.

Weirdest place I've tried to eat during the pandemic. They don't take phone orders, they don't take in store orders.. you have to order off of a chinese food specific ap. They were also saying they wouldn't take orders at 4:30pm on a Saturday. Really weird how they're able to stay in business during this.

Hands down the best dumpling spot around! My boyfriend and I love coming here for date nights and we absolutely crave their spicy noodle soup, dumplings, fried rice.. you can't go wrong here! :)

Coming from the east coast, I couldn't find wonton soup. But when I came here with a coworker back in April 2019, i knew this place would be one of my favorites. I love their fried and steamed dumplings and I'm so happy that they are now back open for takeout and delivery. I'll be revisiting them soon!

We came here on Christmas night, as it was one of the only few places open. I had the chicken dumplings and milk tea to drink. My husband had the fish and beef dumplings, pan boiled and steamed. They were all delicious! The soy sauce with vinegar had just the right amount of tang. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side. But was clean, with an airy and bright ambience. Our waiter was nice too. Tip: If you don't know how already, practice using chopsticks ahead of time. Forks are available. But I liked being able to use chopsticks instead.

I'm confused about some of the reviews here. Their food is so good... My bf (who loves a good beef roll) and I agreed they had the best Taiwanese beef rolls that we've tried in Irvine. Way better than A&J and 101 Noodle Express. Must get the beef rolls! I'm also obsessed with their spicy noodles. It's so well-priced and the spicy broth + firm noodles taste delicious. I'm always ordering this when I eat here. The XLB dumplings weren't my favorite but they didn't taste bad by any means. Maybe some people don't like the simplicity of their food, but I actually like that they don't go crazy and exaggerate flavors with heavy seasoning. It's just good, simple Taiwanese food. I love this place.

Quick and easy. XLB are as good as anywhere. Very clean. Basic menu. I liked it. Don’t know why the reviews are so bad

I have been wanting to come here for a while and yesterday I finally did. The place had really really tasty chicken pan friend dumplings and great pickled cucumber but everything else wasn't as impressive. In fact, half the things on the menu, including the veggie dumplings were not available. Sigh. The pace is clean, servers are nice. Parking is always a problem in jamboree.

I guess I should've considered if a place is empty during lunch hour there might be a reason. Went in to just eat some XLB and was disappointed by them. The soup had already leaked out of them so they weren't very juicy, and the girl waiting on us didn't give us any julienned ginger or anything to eat the dumplings with. Sure, there's a plate, chopsticks, and a fork provided on the table as is but I wanted at least a soup spoon and a sauce dish to put my vinegar in. I asked if I could get a spoon and sauce dish to which she replied, "Huuuuuuh?", gave me a spoon, and quickly left. I mean,... I guess. Cute looking place, but not sure if I'll be back here anytime soon.

Their pork xlb leaves a lot to be desired and lacks that piping hot soup to consume while breathing out dragon breaths of fire and making a ho-ha sound. LOL But, their scallion pancake is one of the best I've had in a while. Good enough that you don't even need soy sauce or separate sauce. Highly recommend. Their beef wrap and sesame noodle were just okay. Overall, I'm still sad guppy house was replaced by this place. But, insofar as this is here, I hope it stays so I can keep consuming the scallion pancakes!!

I ordered half XLB and Dan Dan noodle. XLB is dough was soggy and thick. It felt apart when I picked it up. Flavor was just like any frozen XLB you can get from any Asian grocery stores. Dan Dan noodle was a disaster too. The noodle had no chewiness at all. They probably overcooked it. Anyway, save your money and try other restaurants in this plaza.

The quality of Chinese restaurants on Irvine is high in general. The dishes tasted pretty authentic.

The food was really great, I had spicy wonton and lamb dumplings. The service was absolutely terrible though. I guess maybe the language barrier ‍♂️
