Staff was not very friendly. I asked him to check/change one order after 3 mins I placed the order. He told me it’s too late, without willingly to go to the kitchen and ask. Food was ok, not very authentic.
This was our first time to Tang Du and we liked it enough to want to come back to try other items on the menu. We have missed Sam Woo's honey walnut shrimp since they closed so we tried Tang Du's. It's not the same but we enjoyed Tang Du's version with lightly crunchy shrimp & walnuts covered in mayo sauce with a bit of mustard in addition to honey flavor. The soup dumplings were also good but lacked the soup so seemed more like regular dumplings albeit with a generous portion...read full review

Good Shanxi food at a convenient Irvine location. Beware the wait - when I was there recently, they were significantly understaffed so the service was less efficient than expected, but understandable nonetheless.
