7/21/2023: Still "Temporarily Closed" with a sign asking to visit their other "Permanently Closed" location by UCI. Surprised that Irvine Co hasn't done anything to the unit yet.

Hey! We loved your food. We didn't know you'd closed down. We ordered online (PAID) and showed up to get our food to find it closed. I need a $35 refund, but there is no number to call or contact for you.

Well, it looks like Taquiero Taco Patio is really taking the "temporary" in their closure seriously! I mean, it's been whole month and they're still closed? That's dedication! But hey, at least they're consistent. Their second location is closed for good, and now this one is closed too. I guess they really nailed that whole "temporary" thing. Taquiero Taco Patio might not be open at the moment, their legacy will live on in the memories of all the taco-lovers out there. And who knows? Maybe they'll come back stronger than ever before. In the meantime, I just have to find my taco fix somewhere else.

Ordered from this location and then order was canceled 26 minutes later because it was "closed" at 7:49pm. It was still open on GrubHub so I ordered again and they canceled 20 minutes later for the same reason. Still not actually closed. Just doesn't want business.

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants that accommodate vegetarians or vegans. They do have a the largest menu but the food they have is worth trying and always tastes fresh. The size of there burritos are very large and always taste amazing. They also offer tacos on freshly made tortillas and have freshly made salsas available at their salsa bar. I love coming here when I'm craving some good authentic Mexican food.

Made a random visit to this spot because I was in search for tacos in Irvine.Tacos - Did not enjoy. I also don't like having guacamole in my tacos. I also did not enjoy their tortilla.Carne Asada Quesadilla - Good! Got the larger portion, which was over $12, which I found to be a bit pricy compared to other spots.

Awesome food with a perfectly simple menu. Tacos, quesadillas, nachos, burritos, pick your meat and good to go (they do have vegan options as well). These guys have a wide beer selection and can make a pretty decent Michelada. Overall a must go to for lunch!

Salsa's have a lot of flavor. Carne asada burrito was a great value for the cost.

I normally go here a lot and had great experiences before. This time I didn't have a pleasant experience but it's justified. I went in maybe 10-15 minutes before closing (I know, I just needed carne asada fries). I was greeted with not so friendly worker but I get it, they just want to go home. I ordered an al pastor burrito and carne asada fries. The al pastor was super dry as well as the carne asada. Normally they aren't dry and is normally really good. Although this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I would probably go here again but don't go super close to closing or else you're risking them giving you not good quality meats.

Hello Peeps !! Tried this place out today. My bud got the carne asada burrito and I got 4 tacos ( not knowing that they are well protein filled and bigger than I imagined ) .The tortillas taste homemade/freshly made ( I think they are ) . I will list the tacos in the order from favorite to least favorite. #1 . Carnitas taco was my fave ( get extra salsa if you like them spicy ) #2. Cochinita pibil the pickled onion paired well with the protein ... ( bit greasy but expected ) #3 Al pastor taco : it was good ... probably better on a busy day bc of the cut .#4 carne asada taco: some fatty pieces but I get that it's hard to know of the time that the meat is w/o fatty chunks . carne asada tacos are hard to mess up so thats why it's my #4 pick, not bc it wasn't good but because it was a safe pick. I will be returning .... Don't forget to get the jamaica drink , it's perfectly sweetened . Get it !!

I've been coming here for 2 years because we love the Al pastor tacos. After my last 2 experiences, I plan to never return and clearly, they have no problem losing customers. Just before Christmas, a friend of mind planned to come to my place for dinner. I recommended Taquiero Taco Patio for takeout and told her to put in her order online since you can select a pick up time. Both of us put in separate orders for a 5pm pickup. At this time, it was about 12pm. We both received confirmation for our orders via email. Upon arrival to the store, we discovered the restaurant had closed early for a holiday party. So why did their website allow for a 5pm pickup when the place closed at 3pm? We had put in the orders at noon so clearly they received the orders before closing time. No one bothered to reach out to advise that they wouldn't be able to fulfill the order. The next afternoon, I called the restaurant to request a refund. I asked for the manager. Ramon didn't even apologize for what happened. He simply blamed ToastTab (their online ordering service). I expressed how unprofessional it was for this to happen, even if it was for something rare like a holiday party. He asked what I wanted and I told him I needed a refund. It's pretty lame that I had to even ask for this! Were they planning to just keep my money? What if I hadn't called? I told him that my friend also needed a refund for her order. He said she had already called and he took care of her. The call ended and I still felt annoyed because the customer service was so subpar. I texted my friend and she said she had spoken to Ramon just before me and not only did he refund her money, he also offered her free food for her next visit! I can afford some tacos but the principle is, Ramon didn't care to take care of all his customers the same way. Fast forward a few weeks, my friend and I planned to do lunch. She suggested Taquiero Taco Patio to get a free meal to make up for last time. She texted Ramon and reminded him who she was and that she was coming in for her free meal that he promised. She also asked if she could bring friends for the complimentary meal. He said yes (see attached picture). Her "friends" were me and my family, whom I had ordered for the last time they closed on us. Well guess what? Ramon was a no show when we arrived and the employees there were completely baffled as to what to do. A female employee finally showed up and said she had a message that my friend had a limit of $24 to spend. $24 for 6 people? So ridiculous. My friend showed the text exchange with Ramon for the free food to the employee and she called Ramon. 2 minutes later, she hung up and said we were still held to the $24 limit. Since I didn't want to leave my friend hanging for lunch, I put in my order and spent $45 for our meal. She got her $24 of food for herself and her mother. None of the employees cared that we were annoyed and they just ignored us after we paid. On top of that, my friend got her tacos (the same ones I ordered for my family) at least 15 min before we got ours. They were almost done eating by the time we got our food, which is ridiculous since we ordered all the food at the same time. The service is the absolute worst. They don't care about their customers and even their manager has no idea how to handle unhappy customers. Seeing past Yelp reviews here, Ramon and management clearly don't read or care about what people think of their restaurant. They've lost a long time customer.

Tacos came dry. They didn’t even give any sauce for them. They forgot 1 of my tacos. Lesson learned not to order from here again. Pretty sad.
