Simply the best Italian restaurant period. All of their ingredients are made from scratch. Linda, is such a sweet soul. The restaurant is also so friendly. I’m so impressed and I recommend families come here and enjoy all the delicious dishes!!! Highly recommend!!!

Tiny dining area you will need to make a reservation if you wish to dine there.
Wonderful Italian takeout only, food has reminded great, so sad they gave up their former checkered tablecloth location, but good for the Citti fam, they seem to be thriving.Parking: Good for pickup, not a sitdown restaurant

The CUTEST little Italian restaurant you’ll ever see.The setting was perfect for a date - an intimate setting, with patio heaters and soft Italian music in the background, pretty lights, candles and flowers on the tables, the works. Our server, Darian, was such a wonderful man with an upbeat and cheerful personality, who recommended us wonderful dishes - a mushroom pizza and a pomodoro sauce pasta, both of which were outstanding!I am waiting for my crème brûlée as I write this review, that should tell you how lovely it is.PS - another huge shoutout to our server, Darian. He had such an amazing energy :)Vegetarian options: They had a wide array of vegetarian options (my spouse and I are both vegetarians).

Food and service excellent but the bees ruined our experience as they were all over our food and landing on us. Despite all that the staff did to help the bees won. We suggest screened in patio so you still have the outdoor beauty and experience without bees.

I first tried Cafe Citti at their Kenwood location years ago. If you go through their reviews at that location, you will know that I am a big fan. For whatever reason, they moved to the tiniest location in Santa Rosa. Next to a sketchy thrift store, there are only about 6-7 tables on a covered patio overlooking a stream, but within full earshot of two busy streets. There is also a little seating out front.,. Not the most desirable situation. Nevertheless, the memory of their pizza and pasta drew me back despite the longer drive from the East Bay and the fact that I am older and on a low carb, dairy free diet. (Spoiler, I totally cheated on this diet, which inspired the title of this review) Immediately seated and provided with ice waters and some amazing focaccia, my date and I shared a deliciously fresh garden salad with an excellent housemade dressing. We ordered a pizza (clam and garlic) and the farfalle with smoked salmon special with plans to share both and have leftovers. Both were amazing. Something about their pizza makes me give myself permission to go off my diet....no regrets! Do not miss out on the pizza! The pasta was also amazing, the smoked salmon lent a smoky flavor to the sauce that was heavenly. Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert, but walking past the desert case, I spied several flavors of gelato that looked amazing. The service was excellent.Prices are a little high for such a casual setting, but it is clear that those dollars are going toward quality ingredients, so worth it. I hope this restaurant continues to thrive and can eventually find a nicer location... closer to me, perhaps?
The gnocchi made a convert of our 9 year old because it was out of this world delicious. Get the citti sauce for sure!! The lasagna was just like how I imagine my great great Italian grandmother would make. Plus, the pizza was so good and a winner for both kids.

We had a party of 10 that was accommodated on their back porch overlooking the stream. (Heaters available if needed.) Very nice setting for a birthday celebration. Food was delicious and the server went above and beyond to accommodate all our needs. They have great take out as well. Will definitely return.

By far the worst cannoli I have had in my life .The filling was pathetic and filled with cherries. Tasted more like a cherry pie than a cannoli. The shell was soft and more or less could call it a cherry taco. Wish I could have my 20$ back and never going back to this place.

Ordered lasagna based on reviews. Was very disappointed. Overly sauced, too many chunks of tomatoes, meat nonexistent. It was also very salty.Everyone has a different palate and what they consider authentic. I was definitely not impressed. Wish them luck with their business.
