Great service, staff was super friendly. We ordered edamames spicy, specialty rolls (The Joker and Salmon Aburi) and a spicy tuna roll and everything was really good. We had an amazing experience, definitely we will come back again.

Didn't eat there. Wait was too long. But it looked good.

They take a long time to prepare your order, either online order or on site, go somewhere else where they value your time and customers! Food is not even worth the wait!!! Aweful !!! Don't recommend!!!??

First and last visit. Lots of sauce. Every roll except one is fried. People are nice.(Unsure where 4.5 came from)

Their rolls are very creative and delicious, i haven’t tried one I didn’t like yet. Service is a bit slow but that’s ok, BUT the default tip options at the end of the meal are 20, 25 and 30% that’s not ok…

We’ve been coming here for years, way before it became popular. We love it, wish I was there right now. From the first visit it became our favorite sushi place in San Diego. We always get the Aloha and Dirty Blonde rolls. And the salmon sashimi. Last time it came out with fresh wasabi, so good! The jalapeño poppers are the best I’ve ever had and the beef gyoza is really good too. Can you tell I’m hungry? One time they had a scallop special that was amazing, I hope they bring it back. Everything we’ve ever had there was good and quality is always consistent. On the downside sometimes the food takes long to come out and you pay before you see the bill (you get it after), and you tip in front of the server - but the upside is they don’t take your credit card away so that’s more secure, just a little awkward to do the math in your head with the server there. We’ll definitely keep going back!

Otoro flown in from Japan daily. Spectacular service. Gluten free tempura. A5 wagu was *chefs kiss*. 10/10 everything, if you're in La Jolla don't skip.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free tempura. Good for people with intolerances or mild allergies, as there is cross contamination.Kid-friendliness: High chairs available.

Stopped by Sushi Nekosan for dinner with a friend to try a few rolls. The menu has a bunch of fun and creative roll options. Got the Special Hawaiian, the Baja Lemon Cilantro and a sushi/avocado. I loved the Special Hawaiian the most, it had all my favorites. The fish was super fresh and they were not skimpy with the portions. My friend got the small sake ($6) and while I don't like sake, I definitely want to mention it because I felt the amount she got for the price was very generous.Service was good, our waiter was very attentive and patient with questions we had about the menu.I'd come back if I happened to be in the area because I know the sushi rolls will be of good quality, but it probably won't be one of my go-tos.

I sat at the bar. It's kind of small inside but more seats outside. Was wandering by strolling through La Jolla and stopped in.The sushi chefs and the wait staff were friendly and helpful.I enjoyed their 'fancy roll' and hope to return to enjoy more!
