Great food, clean place with an A rating on the window & a great atmosphere. Our server Kim was very attentive without being over the top. Food came out quickly but I could tell it was made to order. Everything we ordered was great- we had a party of 6 and all ordered different meals- all were really good, I don't think you can go wrong with anything from the menu. My kiddo had the chicken strips and it was fresh chicken, not frozen- and my super picky kid ate all of the huge serving. If we lived in the area this would definitely be a regular spot for us. Would highly recommend!

Pizza was decent. I ordered a pick up order, price online said the pizza was 20$. When I showed up it was 30$, apparently there’s a “pick up” fee and all kinds of other fake fees

This is an old standard in La Jolla.I've been there many times, and I bring visitors to The Spot. They have an incredibly large menu pizza, seafood, burgers, and the best french onion soup around!!The soup is my favorite but the last time I was there... Two days ago, I had a bacon cheeseburger, it was very very good, you expect a burger to taste like a burger, but it was great, I tasted all the flavors the cheese the bacon the hamburger.I cannot go there without having a bowl of their French onion soup.. it has a great crouton a whole lot of cheese and a really really tasty base. And best of all, when you get a burger you have your choice of side,If you read under where it says french onion soup for a mere $2 or $2.50 I can't remember because it's well worth it you can ask for the suit as your side.As your side or your meal it is well worth visiting. And their menu is so large there is sure something on it to please absolutely everyone!

Good food, huge selection. I had the lamb burger, which had blue cheese and marinaded onions on it, delicious. My father had a piece of sea bass and my son a bacon burger. Place has been around since 1978 and a restaurant has been in the building since 1915… definitely going back

4 beers and a medium 3 topping thin crust was $90, so we won't be returning. That being said, the pizza was great, the beer selection was adequate and the service was ok. Dog friendly was a plus. There's no parking though.

Great place brilliant in its simplicity, awesome food drinks and service!
I don't like giving bad reviews. But I was very disappointed and this area has much better options. First, I ordered the NY Strip Steak and I was brought a Skirt Steak. They corrected the order but I should have kept the Skirt Steak. It looked better than the NY. The NY Strip Steak was tough and full of gristle. The onion rings were oily and had an odd after taste. The salad looked like an afterthought and could have been garnish on a plate. I'm assuming they make their own thousand Island dressing. It looked oddly very dark and tasted nothing like any thousand Island I've ever had.

Cracking night out! We stopped here after dinner only intending to have one drink and it was so much fun that we stayed all evening. Thank you Laura for the fabulous drinks and the laughs and your friend for the tunes!! From the Beiber Crew!

We LOVED The Spot! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and our server was INCREDIBLE! Our family of four (6 & 15 year old kiddos) had an enjoyable evening dining at The Spot. We played a game of Trouble while waiting for our food. Our server was attentive and, offered recommendations, and accommodated our requests. We would highly recommend the fried fish tacos. The garlic bread was fantastic, too. Stop by The Spot and enjoy!

Great location. Great food. Great service. The outdoor seating is best. Inside is a bit darker and louder. All of the food we had was really good. Some of the dishes were a bit more expensive, but you are paying for the location. I would eat here again to try more of the menu. The fish tacos and chicken fingers were flavorful. The onion rings were good as well.Parking: Given the great location, parking is only on the street or one of the paid parking lots. There are quite a few 1hr spots and the police monitor the times pretty well, so you may be able to fit in a meal without a ticket.

We had a small group of 10, The Spot was able to accommodate a special needs guest. The service was great, the food was good, the entire experience was positive.
