“There are two reasons I would go back to this place. I saw it on Instagram, and I like to judge places for myself, so we went. The first reason I'd go back is they have an employee by the name of America, I told her it was our first time she introduced both beef and chicken teriyaki so we could taste both flavors and it was by far a great recommendation. Both had great flavor, so this place, I would say, is a good five-star. It's always wonderful when you find good tasting food but it's even better when you have staff that backs up the restaurant and gives you great customer service“
“Great location literally down the street so makes for a convenient walk for lunch. Tried the spicy ramen and went with the fav chicken teriyaki plate. Overall the spicy ramen had enough kick but not an excessively hot burn. Scallions and sprouts and half a hard boiled egg. Over all mid of the road. But cannot beat the cost to value. “This has been our favorite dive for years now! There is new management and cook and the place is as good as ever if not better. The chicken teriyaki was tender just tight. The "jalapeño roll" (Spicy tuna on the inside and salmon, on the outside with some jalapeño on top) was the perfect combination of savory and spice. They have a new wallpaper design so there's a relaxed feel. The new owner, Paul, is really nice. I highly recommend this place for a tasty, relaxing family dinner. and the green tea ice cream is a nice touch.“

“First visit here. Absolutely loved it. The albacore sashimi should really be renamed a carpaccio. Thinly sliced premium seared albacore with a tangy delicious ponzu sauce. With more than 10 slices, it's the perfect delicacy to share with someone special. Everything else here was super fresh and tasty. The ambience is dark & comfy and the customer service was friendly, quick & efficient. I found my new favorite spot for sushi.“

“This is one of my favorite go-to places to take friends when we don't know where else to go. When the Packing House is just too packed, Rodeo 39 has so many more options without the large crowd making it a great food hall to come with friends who aren't very good at unanimously choosing a restaurant. My personal favorite places are Banh Xeo Boys for the Banh Xeo, Kare for their katsu curry, phoholic for pho (of course), Steel Pan Pizza for their mushroom pizza, and Shootz for their Kimchi Butter Shrimp. Honorable mentions are Tenori and the Mexican restaurant that unfortunately, I can't remember the name of. Grab your food and choose a nice spot on the patio or inside by the bar to grab a drink later and enjoy the variety of options they provide with relatively reasonable prices.“

A total of 4 of us came with my 2yr old that fell asleep. Without even asking the staff accommodated us by seating us in the enclosed outdoor area (it's quieter there than inside) and turned on the heater without being asked. Extremely attentive staff checking in on us (we never felt forgotten outside). If you need sushi recommendations we had the Call Me Babe, Earthquake, Dragon Tear, and non spicy garlic edamame all options are delicious.“

Being a Japanese/Korean restaurant, they use those languages' different pronunciations of that same word. Word that means "beef cutlet," which is this place's specialty. They offer several levels of meat quality, all the way up to Wagyu A5, which will set you back $100 per person. Besides the expensive meat, they also offer much more affordable Japanese and Korean everyday foods, from Ramen to Udon, Bulgogi, all sorts of Donburi (rice bowl with beef, pork, chicken etc.) We had Katsu Curry (fried pork cutlet in curry sauce) and beef donburi (beef bowl with rice). The food was truly excellent. The meat was tender, and the portions were abundant. The cutlet was lightly fried and nanaged to be at the same time crispy and tender. Definitely one of the best Katsu Curry I've had in Orange County. Service was prompt and corteous. Highly recommended.“

I order the a la cart cut rolls such as the the albacore roll and the yellow tell. Sometimes I will order it either of them spicy. My wife loves the rainbow roll, baked mussels, and fresh oysters. My son who is two mind you like the temura udon and the rainbow roll. Yes he loves sushi. Usually our bill is around 100 including tip. If we invite others it is more.
