We were there during a very busy Easter brunch. Food was very good, although some dishes were a bit overcooked. Service was quite friendly, but a bit slow. Ambiance was very nice. Food and service could probably be chalked up to how busy the restaurant was. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our experience, and will definitely be back!

This is the second time my husband and I visited LA Papillion and each time he got the duck meal. He absolutely loves the duck. I tasted it and it was excellent. I would give this resturant 10/10 for everything. The waitresses both times were really nice, they catered to my 9 month old and they make the experience exceptional. The duck is the selling piece though for my husband. Exceptional

I just went there tonight because my wife has been wanting to go for months. The restaurant has a very cozy vibe which made it very appealing to sit in. When we ordered, the waiter was awesome! We never had to ask for refills or even look for him if we needed anything. He was very kind and attentive. For appetizer, we had oysters Rockefeller. It was slightly overcooked but it was very delicious. For our drinks, we both ordered blackberry mojitos which was heavy with a cough syrup tasting substance and blueberries in the drink. For the main courses, my wife ordered duck breast and I ordered a 6oz fillet mignon and lobster. The duck breast was sliced before cooking which dried it out and the skin wasn’t rendered making it very rubbery. My steak had 0% of it seared and was cooked as a well done after asking for a medium cook. My split lobster tail (wasn’t advertised as split) was so over cooked it actually tasted burnt and I couldn’t pull any of the lobster meat out of the shell because it was so dry and overcooked. Not a single thing on either plate had seasoning on it. We didn’t even raise the complaint until the waiter asked how our food was and we told him the truth. He demanded the kitchen to make us another plate even though we told him it was fine. Another young lady who we assumed was the manager was very courteous and ensured us a new order was being prepared for us to go. She took our dessert orders and was so friendly and apologetic. The desserts came (fresh peach cobbler and crème brûlée) and both were fantastic. Though the food was horrible, the customer service of the waiters and the dessert made up for it to us so we decided to tip well. For some strange reason, the actual manager decided to come to our table and ask how everything was. This is what made us put such a low rating. We didn’t actually anticipate rating this place because of the great service, but the manager was so off-putting. She relayed that their steaks come packaged, her chef isn’t that well of a cook, the chef doesn’t know how to sear steak as it appears to be broiled as well as the duck, the chef and manager isn’t aware that you don’t slice into meat before cooking it and until after it rests, and she relayed that she has a hard time with this chef cutting the steaks too small. We considered giving this place a second chance, but after learning this information, I don’t suggest anyone to dine here. Which is unfortunate because it really is a beautiful interior and the waiters are great.(The pictures are of our to-Go plates which the chef actually undercooked both the duck and the steak).

The owner, Lucy, is the kindest women you'll meet. Helpful & ready to accommodate the guest needs. The food is spectacular and I suggest to go for any occasion. The menu options from drinks to dishes are numerous and will not let you down. Thank you for having me.

Great food and ambiance. Nice to have live music too. Went on Valentine's with my son... I wish they had their full menu instead of a limited one for the special day.Limited to steak, lobster, chicken or shrimp ravioli for the main course when the lamb is so on point there...

I was very disappointed. I went on Valentine’s Day they had a set menu and my lobster entree was served kind of cold as if they had prepared it before ordering it. Lobster was over cooked the cream sauce watery and mashed potatoes and vegetables barely had flavor . Customer service was great just not the food. Over priced.

I took my wife here for Valentine's Day dinner the food was excellent and they guy getting you water was great. The atmosphere was excellent also I only complaint was the service they never put in our order how that happened I don't know. They gave a free glass of wine ???? but that's not the point how you don't submit my ticket order. My wife wants to come back still for the full menu I don't know if I will go back but I'm willing to try again because my Queen wants to go back.Parking: If you want a parking spot in the front get there early.

Our waitress was phenomenal, very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. (I believe she said she was the manager, I wish I could remember her name) Food was very good, especially the ahi tower which I loved. The artichoke dip was very good, definitely more of a French flair to it as it was heavy on the butter. The seafood risotto was so delicious, I wish I had order it as my dinner! The halibut was a bit dry for my taste but the lemon sauce completely made up for it. The only reason I gave a "moderate" rating for the noise level was because there was live music that night, which I was unaware of when making the reservation. I had not been here in a few years and remembered it to be a warm, quiet restaurant. At first, it was a bit overwhelming as the space is small and the volume was pretty loud (We couldn't hear each other across the table). As the evening went on and the restaurant wasn't quite as busy, the songs were a bit softer, so it allowed for more conversation. Joei Fulco was the performer and she did a great job. She interacted with guests, took requests and has a beautiful voice.
