Went there for the first time on Monday. Had the "Caldo de Chacal Mixto". It was a pleasant surprise how good it was. Perfectly seasoned. It has one Chacal which is basically a giant prawn. It also had regular shrimp, octopus, and chunks of fish. It also comes with veggies like zucchini and carrots. We were provided hand made tortillas which is always a plus. They place is kind of small, but it wasn't crowded that day. We talked to the owner, and he's a very pleasant and attentive.
What a hidden gem. Authentic mariscos. The complimentary ceviches is so fresh and just really good. I had 2 shrimp tacos and a fish taco, which were amazing. Husband had the molcajete frescos mixtas. They also have birria de chivo! Not much seating so probably best to order togo. Also, they do not serve cerveza.
For lunch my husband and I decided to stop at the lunch truck location. My husband ordered the #3 plain raw oysters, and I had the shrimp and octopus mix tostada. Knowing my husband is such a picky eater. I made sure to take the first bite of both dishes. The Oysters were so tasty very fresh and just prefect. My shrimp and octopus tostada was delicious.
