Peggy makes the best cakes! I asked my daughter where to go for cakes and she said "Sweet Mel's! I go every Friday. The girls get her macaroons, they're epic!" We walked in looking for a cake for my grandson, but she didn't have the flavor filling he wanted in her case. She said if we came back later that afternoon, she'd have it ready. Rhubarb pie. My favorite dessert of all time!! So few places make it any more, and those that do spoil it with strawberries. Sweet Mel's sold me a wonderful pie two weeks ago, and an even better one yesterday. How do you top something that was already great? I have no idea, but they did!!
