Stopped by with my family to grab a late lunch. I didn't know what "hushpuppies" were, so I asked the guy. And he gave me not only a detailed description but 2 free samples of these "hushpuppies." We chatted a little bit, and I found he was the owner of the place. He said the restaurant was around since the 1960s, and he loved this town (Lompoc.) I was very impressed. I was coming from out of town and would be arriving 5 minutes before closing. Called to ask if they would still serve and was told of course. I ordered fish and chips. Fish was fresh. The owner came out and asked me if I was the one that called. He wanted to make sure that he didn't lock that person out (it was past closing time at this point). It was so thoughtful.

Good place to go if one is hankering for fish and chips. While it's not the same as what you would find the UK it's definitely appetizing. Your order at the counter and they bring the food to you. They are sufficient condiments on the tables. The ambience is British with numerous flags On the ceiling. They also have other British meals. There is even a red phone booth outside the restaurant. If you haven't tried it, it's a good place to have good food
