10 Best American Restaurants in Lompoc

Savory & Sweet Eats Asian Fusion • $
1412 Burton Mesa Blvd, Lompoc

“Savory and Sweet is a gem of a restaurant in an unexpected place. Nestled between Mission Hills and the Mesa Oaks areas in Lompoc, we came here to feed our bellies and ended up feeding our souls! The owner, Vilay, really knows how to make food from the heart! I had the Lemongrass Chicken Bahn Mi Sandwich. Every bite was delicious and different from the last. The flavors just kept coming with each bite exponentially tastier and tastier. My honey had the special which was a Cajun Shrimp Po-Boy which he described as "amazing and life changing". I would agree! We plan to return and try everything on the menu, and you should plan to, as well.“

Sassafrass Lompoc American • $

“We got the food truck for my husband's 40th birthday at our house and couldn't have been happier! The food was delicious and Sarah and her family did an amazing job getting the party fed even dessert! Everyone was asking me where I found them because they wanted her contact info. Sarah made everything super easy from communication to menu. 5 stars and definitely will be using the Sassafras truck again!“

“Come one, come all to Johnny's. I don't know of any other bar in town that has Micro Mania wrestling... If that is your thing. If not, you will find something that pleases your palate. Try a delicious Bloody Mary with a cheeseburger slider as a garnish. Not only was the drink good, but the slider was rich and delicious! The decor is industrial with a warm feel. The outdoor patio is inviting and large. The lights give it a great vibe at night. Enjoy your food. Enjoy your drinks. Enjoy your life.“

Jalama Beach Store Burgers • $
9991 Jalama Rd, Lompoc

“Calm and quiet during the week, even with a close passing train. The tide & wind mask pretty much the train noise, that's above the cliffs. So we'll see how the weekend goes. MLK weekend and all.The sunsets are spectacular.Vandenberg air base is not far, and they say they'll be shooting off a rocket tonight (well, 1 am) to place 22 satellites for Spacelink. We'll be able to see the blast off from here!Up the hill is the electric plugins.Below at sea level are nice spaces, but boondocking only, so be prepared to run your generator, and it's around the 30's at night, so it's cold.Day currently is sunny and nice with cold winds. Jacket, a must! We're going on a beach walk at low tide to see the tide pools and other cool stuff. There's a nice store on the property with friendly folks that's been here since 1974. Well stocked for a small store and is the home of the Jalama burger ? google it.“

“Food was great, had the Teriaki Chicken Salad & Black Cherry Shake. BUT cashier pissed me off. As I was paying for my meal via credit card he quickly offered to help, and with his slight of hand he gave himself a 25% tip, and completed the transaction for me. Once I sat down waiting for my meal i discovered the deception, I didn't fuss with it as it was a small cost to me, but the store lost out big time, cause I'm not likely ever going back.“

“The food was decent, but not worth the value. I really enjoyed my whisky sour. Since this restaurant is in a hotel it's a bit overpriced. I did not like that the restaurant is basically in the lobby of the hotel or what appears to be the lobby. I also did not like the seating area. Instead of an upscale restaurant it felt more like a casual venue. I felt there was a disconnect between the venue, prices, and atmosphere. The food was decent and would return for the chips and drinks. Their homemade potato chips are pretty good.“

“Food was okay, drinks were excellent, but the service was sub par. 3 people ordered, my order and a side if Mac and cheese came out 1st, without the other two entrees. The rib platter came out, which they admitted they forgot, then we had to remind the server of our 3rd order that was still missing and she had forgotten too. Then the 3rd came out immediately, so we suspect we got someone else's order. Food was warm, but everything seemed slightly over cooked or just under the heat lamp too long. Not enough to complain or be inedible, but just enough to notice. Will go back. Will update my review if this turns out to be a fluke/bad night, which isn't good to have on a Friday night.“
