“Incredibly attentive service and food that ranged from very good to world class.The wonderful surprise of the night was the sourdough bread. It hit all the right notes: the chew that contrasted to the crust, the temperature it was served, the subtle sourness and the high quality butter that brought these elements together. World class! We wanted to buy up their whole bread stock and took it all back to SoCal with us. We BEGGED. Alas, no luck.The service: we got outdoor garden seating. The sun hit my eyes just as it was setting. I put on my sunglasses. No big deal right? The proprietress saw it and directed her staff to put up an outdoor umbrella 25 feet away to block the sun in my eyes. I didn't even prompt them or anything.Then an hour later. The evening chill set in and my wife put on her jacket. Next thing we knew the proprietress came by to offer her blankets.This was some Joel Robuchon, Eric Ripert, El Bulli thing going on. Yeah, color me beyond impressed to say the least.”

“LOVE this restaurant! Ample seating with phenomenal food in a cute town. Little seating inside but there's a covered & uncovered patio outside as well. Prices of the meals (besides the pre-made sandwiches) are well priced especially for the area. The pastries are a bit expensive ($6-6.50/each) but some are well worth it. Overall, I highly recommend this place & will be bringing friends & family whenever they visit. Wouldn't order again: Reuben sandwich, chocolate-pistachio croissant, & beans on toast. I thought the reuben sandwich was a bit bland & underwhelming. The chocolate-pistachio croissant was okay but wouldn't order again for $6.50. Beans on toast is a British dish but the sausage tasted *just* like pork potsticker filling -- It just didn't make sense as a cohesive dish & I couldn't enjoy it. I would've liked it a lot more if they used a different sausage. Will order 1000 times: Cinnamon sugar morning bun, meatloaf sandwich, & egg in a hole #2. That cinnamon sugar morning bun is crack. Oh my gosh, it will live rent free in my mind for a long time & I will probably spend an ungodly amount of money on it. Highly, highly recommend. I was also a very big fan of their meatloaf sandwich (one of the best things I've ever eaten), egg in a hole #2 (though I wish there was a 2nd egg), & whatever the bread was in the egg in a hole #2 (again, one of the best things I've ever eaten & hands down the best bread I've *ever* eaten). Also good: The candied pecan morning bun, almond croissant, & regular bagel with whipped cream cheese. Can't go wrong ordering those.”

“Great wine bar with amazing selection of fun wines and beers! We loved the patio, with fire pits and bocce ball. Highly recommend stopping by.There is also an attached AirBnB if you want to make a weekend out of it in Los Alamos!”

“I just had the most beautiful and perfect wedding at this venue! My husband and I were looking for something small and intimate and our family was hoping for something big and spacious so The Maker’s Son is where we met in the middle. The outside is just so beautiful and green and the indoor area is rustic and modern with its beautiful chandelier and farmhouse tables. I had the most amazing florist and family that helped pull a lot of it together but I know for a fact that Selena and her staff did everything else in between to make our special day perfect! I met with Selena on numerous occasions to get all of the small details sorted out and she did everything and more and exceeded all of my expectations. From helping get the wedding party organized to walk out, to communicating with the DJ and even making sure the venue next door didn’t bully us in to ending our event early! Selena and her staff is definitely who you want on your side, this woman does it all. I even at one point saw her behind the bar helping make drinks. Thank you so much to everyone at The Maker’s Son and especially to Selena! I know our big day only went smoothly because you took the lead!”

“Great vegan and vegetarian options! We had a private event and the chef created a special menu for our group, most of the menu was vegan. Such a special meal. Everything tasted wonderful.”

“They are at a new location, not behind Bell's French. Down the street at Bodega. Opens at noon.We got there an hour early. Line was around the block by noon.The food was very good. We got brisket and sausage and all the sides. The flavors all went very well together. The slaw and pickles were nice compliments to the smoky meat.We got 1.5# of brisket, one sausage, beans, rice, slaw, and pickles for $95. Had enough for 6 decent sized servings.I felt like it needed potato chips with it. Crispy shoestring potatoes or a piece of Jonny cake would really make it a 5 star meal.”

“Great bar with killer bands on the edge of a very small town. Dinner at Bell's and a nightcap or eight at the Depot makes for the perfect Los Alamos evening.”

“Asada burrito very good & served hot. Huge-2-potion-burrito fora decent price. Salsa was spicy & tasted fresh. The service was friendly & efficient even at dinner hour. Will definitely stop again & try one of the sandwiches which seems like the specialty here.”

“My wife and I ate dinner at Pico. Our cocktails were both excellent. Using a clear ice cube would bring the quality up a notch however. All of the food we had was also very good and worth the price. In particular, the cauliflower appetizer was outstanding. The service on this night was lacking. I wonder if our waiter was new. He was clearly not knowledgeable/confident in his description of the food when reviewing the menu and specials. Courses did not come out correctly spaced. When we asked for the check, the waiter had to come back to ask us which glasses of wine we had previously ordered. Overall, I would return.”

“What a surprisingly good restaurant. So chill and the food was wonderful. The Mighty Cap Mushrooms are a must and so was the scallops. The pork chops were moist and elevated by the sweet potato puree. The cocktails were excellent. But the best part was the outstanding and warm service by Sylvia, our server. It was a perfect evening.”

“While in Solvang, started looking for a Pizza place. We found this gem in Buellton across the street from the old Pea Soup Anderson's. Pizza was excellent, staff were all courteous and they have video games to entertain the kids. Highly recommend.”

“This was our first time going wine tasting in Los Olivos, and Demetria Estate came highly recommended. It is absolutely beautiful here, and the perfect place for a relaxing wine tasting! You get to sit outside, and you have a magnificent view of the estate grounds. Delicious wine, fresh air, and lovely surroundings - what could be better? They also allow you to bring in outside food, so you can bring in your own snacks or meal to enjoy while drinking your wine. It was super busy when we were there, and they only had one person working. Definitely could've used more staff, but he made it work and was still super friendly while doing it. The wine here was excellent. Really enjoyed the Syrah. Definitely recommend making reservations, especially if you have a larger party. The last 2 miles to the winery is essentially a one-car road that goes both ways, so just make sure you drive carefully. A great choice for a highly-enjoyable wine tasting.”

“One of the best Thai restaurants I have ever been to! The food here is delicious with an array of evolving specials that never disappoint. I've been here a few times now and I love seeing the changes every time! The food can be spicy which I love and the selection of wines are also great. My go to every time however is an ice cold Leo beer, you can never go wrong! A must try for either lunch or dinner. It can get busy but it's worth the wait! Staff is always attentive. A family feel where they go above and beyond to ensure you are having a great time. The ambiance is also lovely.”

“High quality frozen yogurt and ice cream. Frozen yogurt is my jam and I eat it everywhere. Yogurt chains taste chemically. You can tell The Sweet Stuff is made with quality ingredients making the yogurt SO MUCH yummier. And the baked goods, delicious. I have had cakes made here, cupcakes, and eaten a number of goodies for sale in shop. Really, really good treats that my family and I will drive 30+ minutes to eat. Worth it”

“Worth a trip from...anywhere. I could taste individual ingredients as well as how they played together. The components were fresh and high quality, with perfect seasoning. Order at the counter and they bring the food to your communal table. The person who took our order was great. Be aware that food comes out when it's ready, not necessarily the same as your companions. Loved the butcher block paper menus. Just a gem.”

“Ambiance and space was the best part for sure! Definitely kid friendly and even had a little kid size picnic bench. The wines were good and the service was excellent. Wines were very well explained and pacing was spot on. We will for sure be back. They also have food options but we didn't try them. They looked great though!”

Plus, the tasting room is a must-see and the staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. We have been club members for years there. It is a world-class experience in Sta. Rita Hills. Go!”

“We had a family gathering at Solvang for the Spring break week. This was the best restaurant for dinner during our stay. We tried the grilled artichokes - really good; steamed mussels - pretty good. Yet the soup (clam chowder) was the best. Different people ordered different main dishes and we were all happy. But the best part of our dining experience was the service. The wait staff was great, including the bussers. They were very attentive and pleasant. In fact before we even met the wait staff we were impressed with service of the reception staff at the restaurant. There were 6 adults and 5 kids and we were expected to sit at 2 tables. But the front staff made an effort to seat us together and we really appreciated that. Thanks to the great service and good food, the 3 families had a remarkable time. We would for sure return in the future.”

“Looking forward to going back and trying menu items. I loved the crunch of their chips and I felt the salsa had the right amount of heat to it. I took my leftovers home and this may seem like a small thing to most, but the rice reheated perfectly, tasted fresh and the texture was as if it was just made. That never happens with leftover rice.”

“We have always loved their beers and even went to one of their anniversary party years back. Bartenders are friendly and are generous with their splash tastings, even offering up suggestions of similar beers that we may like. Food is awesome, service outstanding, ambience spot on and the other patrons, locals and visitors alike are super friendly. When you get a chance, definitely stop by here! On the other hand the Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. Los Olivos tasting room is the exact opposite of the Buellton tap room. I wish I was able to get the name of the woman bartender who was rude and totally ignored us when we came in. We even got her attention after waiting for 10 minutes since no one was behind the bar. She acknowledged she was the bartender but proceeded to continue chatting away with another co-worker instead of attending to us. We just walked away disgusted by her aloofness and lack of hospitality. We were here a few years back and there was a guy bartender who was super friendly and nice, that's why we came back here again. Management please take note!!! Won't be coming back to this location!”

“Looking for a local spot, and we stumbled upon this place. Small hole in the wall ,but the food and services were awesome. I had the Chile relleno plate, and my wife had the buritto. Both were awesome”

“Hole in the wall place. TWO things that stand out, there chips and salsa AND their service!There salsa isn't spicy, but packs a lot of flavor! I could the chips and salsa all day long! Ended up getting a CA burrito, little different than what I've had in the past, but would definitely come here again!”

“Great deli in Orcutt. A few things to know before you go. They are located in Ricky's House of Pizza so know you aren't looking for a stand along business. Everything is made fresh so prepare to either call ahead if you are in a hurry or enjoy the wait. You have the option to sit or take your food to go. The seating area is small but it doesn't seem to get too busy. Overall great experience! Highly recommend the Gobbler and the BLT.”

From the moment you enter you feel right at home ! I love everything about this place ! The service was spectacular and ambiance was so amazing that we came back the next day for more !!!
