I stumbled upon Hotcakes before celebrating a special occasion with a friend at the Alibi Room next door. I thought it would be perfect to get her half a dozen cupcakes. Although it was around 8 PM, their case was still pretty well stocked, to my great relief. The interior is very cute and even has an area to enjoy wine and coffee. I love this place!! I have been here a handful of times now, and the staff is very sweet. It looks very nice and clean, it’s a good place to sit and hang out in. The cupcakes are amazing- I got the coconut one and it was soooo good. They also have very good coffee cake and canelés. The food menu is also very good. We got the breakfast burrito and the salad with salmon which both did not disappoint. Overall would definitely recommend Hotcakes, and I am glad it’s in the neighborhood!

Whenever I'm back in the neighborhood Hotcakes is a must-stop. Everything is absolutely amazing. Quality ingredients make quality pastries, cupcakes. Just sweet enough to satisfy your sweet tooth, without the sugar hangover. Delicate, beautiful and delicious. Apologies for the pictures, but we had to taste before getting home, but you get to see the filling. They also have natural wines now.
