“We tried a few things; shrimp ensalada, pastor tacos, and enchiladas rojas. Everything was absolutely delicious. A flavor bomb for sure all the way around. We will definitely come back and encourage others to give it a try. The molcajete looked stunning and will definitely try that next.“
“Surprisingly, we liked this place! I say surprisingly because my husband and I moved to Madera from the Bay Area. With that being said, we have not been able to find any tacos of half the quality of Bay Area tacos. We have tried several taco places in town and honestly nothing compares to Bay Area. We usually travel to Fresno for tacos so we were lucky to find this place. My husband had the super burrito de tripas. He says the tripas were very crunchy just how he asked. The flavor was definitely there. The only thing he noticed was that the burrito did not have avocado, and if I'm not mistaken, it should've came with avocado. We shared some tacos de asada. He thought the tortilla was very dry and not his favorite. In my opinion, they were fine to me. The tacos were very flavorable and it came with a free frijole tacos/tostada. I find the flavor similar to street tacos. They are a bit greasy, so something to note. We saw other reviews that show handmade tortillas. I think you have to call ahead for those, or maybe they only sell them on certain days. I had the asada torta. Im a chipotle sauce fan which made this torta taste better in my opinion. My husband is not a chipotle fan so it was not his fav. The meat was well seasoned. We ordered via drive thru and received our food right away. My husband and I have very different taste buds but we know how to appreciate fresh quality food. This was only our first visit and we will be back to try different items. What we like is consistency. We will be back soon and see if the quality and flavor is the same. We know how difficult it is to find good food so we will update our review for the next time we visit!“
“Absolutely delicious home cooking. The owners take love, passion n pride in their food, and you can tell by presentation on the plate and 1st bite!Everything you order is amazing, the quality an quantity ?? ?? ✨️ ?.Picture below was just added Wet Burrito. ( I had asada for meat, next time will be chicken). This was a full size dinner plate! Only $13.Dietary restrictions: Has Keto items on menu.“
“Great new Mexican restaurant in Madera! I just found out about them a month ago, and I've been enjoying everything of their food so far! I've tried it twice already, and both times the food has been excellent! Quick, efficient, and amiable staff!“
“I ordered an asada burrito. I made sure to tell them no onions though. When I took a bite, there were onions sadly. Was disappointed about that. Didn't know their rice had carrots, peas and corn, if so I wouldn't have ordered it. No offense to anybody but I usually eat Mexican rice without that and usually at most Mexican places they don't add that stuff. I would only come back to try other things but not that burrito again. What got me with the 4 stars was the Mexican bread cause their bread was really good. Would go back for their bread again. They also have other things to buy so I would recommend for anybody to check them out.“
“Came cause I heard good things about this place, I had the asada tacos and they actually season their meat really well unlike most other places where it's dry and bland and it's good cuts of meat, no gristle or fat at all in my food. Owners are very nice and make sure your food is perfect. Don't sleep on this place“
“Happened upon this place by chance, and let me tell ya, I'm so glad I did. Another hidden gem in Madera, their cooks really dedicated themselves to the food. My favorite is the QuesaBirria tacos. My favorite place for lunch on this side of town.“
“We love Arsenios! Everything we get to eat is so delicious, and the portions are more than enough. Melissa and her husband run a fabulous restaurant.Dietary restrictions: After I had to restrict my sodium intake, Melissa helped me make low sodium choices from their menu and had the chef make some adjustments to the items.“
“It doesn't have the greatest atmosphere So that means your plates will be cheaper than all the other places because you're actually pay'nfor the entertainment. The food is great the prices are cheap you can't get any better than that. You could tell other meat taste pretty good it's not like that cheat meat you taste at the other places“
“Breakfast plates are very delicious, alot of food and good prices. I got the Chorizo, beans and potatoes plate and it was alot on the plate. Coworker got the Machaca plate and it was delicious and alot of food too. If you're in the area stop by for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Just off Highway 99 on the Madera Ave. exit.“
“Excellent for a restaurant/convenience store in the middle of the country. The food is phenomenal, the selection of items in the store is great, and the prices are fair if not cheaper than other similar stores. Everything is slightly higher than in town, maybe 10 cents more at most but that's expected being further out of town. Say a monster is 2.69 in town its 2.79 here. To me that's the cost of doing business and being convenience for the people working out that way. Definitely worth visiting for the food alone. I can't say I've ever had better bbq chicken.“
“Went to 'El Tucan' to discover it is no longer 'El Tucan'! Under new management. No worries as this is a gem of a place. Mexican restaurants are defined by their salsas and the one served here was fiery hot and delicious! My wife ordered Papusas & I enjoyed a huge steak with rice and beans - NO cheese unless of course you request. The owner also serves you and he is a delight, very appreciative of your visit. Unlimited sodas plus - food for two plus tip - $20. Sensational! Very Easy to get to: from Clovis - Shepherd to Friant to '41' to Ave. 9 to Ave 35 to Ave. 7/Highway 145 NW corner.“
“Great Food! Has only been my second time eating here and has not failed to impress. Overall experience from service, food, & atmosphere terrific. Definitely a place I'd recommend to my family and friends. Worth every penny spent. The cooks here are not afraid to load up the quesadillas with meat and cheese. I've been to many toco trucks and restaurants since I work remotely. This is by far the best spot in madera and my go to spot when I'm in the area.“
“Authentic, delicious, worth the price you pay!!! Love supporting local! One of my favorite places in Madera. Never disappoints. Great family spot or date spot. MUST TRY! service is always so friendly! I recommend the Tlayuda of course but their Mole Enchiladas are super good too!“
“Amazing Hispanic cuisine. I just asked what is the best thing on the menu. Completely surprised by the dish. Chicken drumsticks in a dark spicy marinade with a white rice and vegetables accompanied by handmade corn tortillas. So much flavor with the right amount of spice… excellent dish. Highly “
