“I’ve had 3 menu sandwiches and a specialty order and every single one has been so good that I’m committed to trying the whole menu. If you are NOT eating here what’s wrong with you. Only place in the area for good pastrami ❤️”
“Homey and family owned. One of the best vegan experiences ever. I am vegan, but I HAD to try the mole (chicken stock)... but when in Rome. And the mole was to DIEEEE for. Break your vegan lifestyle for this experience, trust me. ?Vegetarian options: Lots of vegan options!”
“In my opinion this is the best Pho on the peninsula ( it’s all about the broth!). There are 15 different Pho dishes, including a vegetarian option. The summer spring rolls are delicious and there is a wide range of noodle and rice dishes as well. They don’t rush you out, even when they are busy. It’s in a very old shopping center/ strip mall and you might not stop here unless someone told you about it. Well I am telling you, you should make a point to stop in for a meal.”
“Foods always great, adding a review to let people know they have a new bar inside! Drinks, modelos/Alvarado street brewery on tap. They said it should be ready to go in a week or so.”
“This is an excellent spot. Got to this place via a random search on my way back from Carmel. The people serving here are super nice. Made us feel instantly comfy even with a new born in a stroller. Food was super good. Fast service. Crab fried rice is a must try. They dont serve jasmine rice with the curries by ”
“Breakfast was delicious, always is. Ruthie is an amazing server and long-time friend. We enjoy going there for breakfast at least a couple of times a week. Her husband is awesome as well. It's very pleasant there. ❤️”
“We’ve been here twice now, once take out once eat in. It’s small, food is delicious and well priced. Our new Thai spotKid-friendliness: We had our two kids and they did not seem to mind”
“Some of the best pupusas, perfect size, not too big or small. Pan con pollo was so good. We traveled from San Francisco just to come here. Yes there are plenty of restaurants in San Francisco and I love a few of them but I don't mind coming here once in a while. It's great and the beach is close by.”
“Get ready for a flavor fiesta that'll have your taste buds doing the salsa at Tico's! Despite its modest size, this place packs a punch that'll leave you craving more. As I stepped in, I caught Tico himself in action, orchestrating culinary magic in the kitchen. The food was so divine that I just had to snag a pic with the maestro himself to commemorate the moment. From flavor to service, Tico's hits all the right notes with its charming mom-and-pop vibe. If you find yourself in town, do yourself a favor and pay Tico a visit--it's a taste sensation you won't want to miss! ”
“I lived in South Korea for two years, and whilst there I grew an appreciation for Korean food. This is one of the most authentic Korean restaurants I have been to.If you are looking for a fancy place for a date - this is not it.If you are looking for a family owned feel this is perfect. The food is perfect. The side dishes delicious.I really like the kitchen stew and my husband likes the bulgogi. The kimchi is very nice. They serve water in metal glasses just like in Korea. The service is very fast and pleasant. This is a small restaurant in an unassuming vicinity. If you are looking for authenticity this is for you.Parking: There is a small parking lot. I haven't been there when it's very busy, so I am not sure what would happen if the parking lot was full.”
“Great place to eat or takeout. We have eaten here several times and are never disappointed. They are our go to when life gets busy. The food is ALWAYS fresh and slightly different. We have tried many items on the menu and can recommend the salt and pepper anything (tofu, wings, chicken it’s all great). Also their green bean special is amazing. All of their soups are delicious too. Highly recommend.Vegetarian options: They can make any dish vegetarian and their pan fried tofu is not breaded so it’s gluten free too. They don’t use soy sauce on everything so some of their dishes are cooked gluten free too all you have to do is ask for no soy sauce or etc.”
“Poke Bar is the best place to get poke in Monterey! Their large selection of fish and produce are cut first thing in the morning everyday and you can really taste the quality and freshness. My bowl is always delicious with ahi tuna that melts in your mouth and their sauces are so flavorful, my favorites are the spicy mayo and unagi! They have great miso soup with tofu and green onions that really hits the spot on a cold day! Their drink selection is one of a kind with a wide variety of Aloha Maids and Ramunes which pair perfect with your bowl. They also have Hawaiian kettle chips which add the perfect crunchy side to your meal. The owner is one of the kindest people you will ever meet and is very generous and caring. The staff is similar very helpful and friendly. The whole vibe of Poke Bar is welcoming and filled with nice people which makes it a joy to grab a bowl whenever I’m in town! You will definitely want to visit Poke Bar for their delicious and fresh bowls, kind staff, and great ambiance.”
“My family were in town on a road trip. I found this place by internet search while looking for nighttime food. I got takeout and was fully satisfied with the food quality, street tacos, enchilada, burrito included. Pricing a tad high but its fine given the area. Also the counter lady was an absolute charming person and would be reason enough to go back :).”
“Well the reviews were perfect they do have the best fish and chips the cod was amazing. Great selection of beer!! Kelly was our waitress, bartender, and she was so friendly it's like we had known her forever. The pub looked just like you would have expected. Excellent historical artifacts. It was great to see people playing cribbage and enjoying themselves. Hope to see you again soon!!”
“I've heard so many great things about this little place, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the 1 item teriyaki chicken lunch combo plate --I couldn't even finish it! The proportions were incredibly large. The lady up at the front was solo up there and she was killing it! A line didn't stress her out and she got everyone's orders out timely. I love how they have personal photos taken from Hawaii hanging up. Super cute place! Definitely coming back.”
