“The burgers here are the best I've had! I tried the bourbon, hawaiian and southwestern and the all had me licking my fingers! I couldn't pick a favourite among all three, they all tie for best burger I've had! The prices are also very fair with all $13 being the highest except for the full rack of ribs which cost $28. In addition, the service was fast and friendly.I recommend this place ?✅”
“Decent sized coffee shop. Tons of space, lots of options in terms of Crepes and Coffee. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Would go back and support their local business. Recommend trying the Nutella crepe ?”
“Seven of us were staying in Strawberry for a work fishing trip and was looking for something to do nearby on a Friday night. So we decided to stop by Diamond Jim's and couldn't of asked for a better night. The crowd was great and the bartender was amazing! Things were a little quiet at first but once the drinks started pouring, and the karaoke going, it was a night for the books. Thanks Diamond Jim's for putting up with our group and hosting such a fun night!”
“Great pizza, I had the Boss pizza. The dough and the red sauce were absolutely amazing. It's a thicker yet still crispy crust. The only gripe was a little heavy on the cheese for me. Very reasonably priced and as a plus had a live music from a keyboardist outside!”
“We came into town from Houston Texas for a wedding this past weekend. We rented a Airbnb and it didn’t have coffee! We drove down to Twain and we’re glad we did. Awesome atmosphere, HIGHLY recommend the Bro-rrito SUPER FIRE, the vanilla latte was onnnnn point. Chatted with the owner as well and he was very welcoming and chill. All in all we went twice so that’ll say a lot. Cant wait to come out next year again and hit’em up!”
“The owner of Indigeny offered me his band's cd, free of charge, at Ed's Cocktail Lounge. In each quiet moment in Tuolomne, locals support real locals. For real local cider, there is one selection: Indigeny Reserve. Sincerely, Your Fan, No Scam.”
“Quick stop on a day trip at this great place. Had a bacon Carmel sticky roll that was amazing with a Chai latte. Prices are good and well worth the stop. Sorry, no pictures because the roll was so tasty I forgot.”
“My first experience here when it was brand new wasn't fantastic . Looking for food, saw good rating and 3 ribs for a reasonable price. When I got there and ordered 2, the owner offered the same price for 1/2 rack. Tasty with dry rub and sauce on the side. They have brocoli for dinner and made me a side for lunch .”
“Always come in here before Roller hockey, and it's always been super friendly staff, a great interior with pool tables and new TVs. The prices are very reasonable and a great selection of draft beers and booze.”
“Great group of folks working there. Convienient location when driving into Twain Harte from either entrance. Stop by and pay a visit. You won't be disappointed.”
“Members of Oakland Hog motorcycle group Want to thank the staff here at Covers Apple Ranch, for accommodating 21 of us on a 1 1/2 hour notice. Thank you for setting up your outside dining for us. we filled up all 5 tables. Good food, atmosphere. Rode all the way up from Oakland, to have lunch at your place. Will see you again.”
“very good breakfast. bacon was crispy just how I like it. I had the Multi grain pancakes and 2 eggs over medium. It is a really cozy place get there early. place gets busy fast.”
“Great spot! I love a cup of quality coffee and their stuff is top-notch. I appreciate the fact it's organic, that they use very quality ingredients, and offer options to those with food intolerances/allergies.”
“My family ate here on our way back home, after a day of playing in the snow. The menu had something for all of us and my pizza alone was amazing. Even the crust was delicious that I kept wanting more of my Pesto California. I will definitely eat here again!”
“I get burgers here all the time for dinner. Grill is open until 7pm. Fries are delicious. My family laughs all the time at the fact that my favorite burger place in the Tuolumne area is in a gas station. Definitely a hidden gem.”
“We really love The Haps. It has an amazing variety of teas that we enjoy on our afternoon walks. The crepes are a great option for the “I don’t know, what do you want for lunch?” discussions too. They have sweet and savory and everything is freshly made. The croffles and bubble waffles are a treat too.Order ahead online and skip the line! Be sure to watch Facebook and Instagram for new menu items and specials as well! Their food photos will start a new craving every time! The Monte Cristo crepe is my favorite.”
“Get surprised by the shrimp cocktail. But only order more food, if really hungry. It's enough for a very satisfying meal. We prefer this restaurant over their other Sonora and Groveland restaurants.”
“First time in Twain Harte and it was so peaceful and pretty. Before heading to our cabin, we stopped by Ed's and could not have stopped at a better bar. The bartender was so friendly and welcoming. He was very professional and made sure to attend to each customer in the order they came in which I respect. We ordered a shot of gin with sprite and a gin n' tonic. It came out to $8 and I couldn't believe it! I'm so use to high prices out in the Stockton Area and Bay Area. One thing to keep in mind is that they only take cash but they also have an ATM to use if needed.”
“Stopped here whole cruising around the hills on a drive. Husband and I shared an XL Frappe & amd it was delicious:) However, we did get in the wrong line and it took forever!”
“Great coffee I have been drinking breakfast blend for years. But recently the last few bags I’ve got taste different I’m wondering if they’ve switched the beans or is roasting it different ? It’s not as light of a roast anymore. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem ?”
“I know it says Twainhart golf club but it’s not just exclusive anyone can go and it’s a lot of fun for everyone! Really good food inside I recommend the steak. My wife likes the chicken fettuccine alfredo. good drinks friendly people you’ll have a great time!”
“We got sandwiches and shakes. Everything tasted great, 20-25 minutes pick up order.Apparently they are looking to revamp the area for slab ice cream, which would be awesome. We'll be back regardless.Kid-friendliness: Right next to the Game Room”
“The restaurant was beautiful with such a nice views. It’s a very fancy and great for dinner dates. Our order took so long (45 mins+), other people that came after us got their food, ate, and left already, a bit disappointed. Other than that the the food was fabulous and delicious!”
“The food is DELISH here!!!! We were visiting the area for 3 days and ended up having breakfast there 2 days. We HAD to go back! They have the standard offerings as well as some creative and amazing options too. I highly recommend the Papa’s Hen House Hash, Country Fried Steak, or any of the Hash’s. They were great. Service was fast, personal, and knowledgeable. Looking forward to our next trip out so I can eat here again!!Kid-friendliness: Good place for kids. The servers were great with providing high chairs and have a kids menu. Didn’t feel out of place with my newborn and 2 year old. There were lots of other families with small children there too.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessible”
“Ooh, so nice in such a little town! Local pasture raised beef burgers, even! Blood orange wheat ale on tap was just one of the many artisanal brews offered here. The staff was super cool, like I would hangout with them even ? Def a happening place on the ”
“Enjoyed the Italian sandwiches with a nice salad. Very fresh tasting! I also enjoyed the Margarita Pizza about a week ago. Oh love the Apricot beer. Hope they get more in soon. The tangerine was a close second! The staff are always very nice!”
“Recently enjoyed the roobios tea with coconut milk, it's called the "Cuppa Soul". It's so good and a great caffeine free option! I love the great service I get every time, and love the gluten free baked items they offer. This visit we got a GF chocolate chip cookie my little ones fav, and I got a GF bran muffin.”
“My daughter wanted a quick bite so we ordered a few street tacos hoping they'd be similar to the street tacos at the taco truck.. they were great!! They were so full of meat and tasted quite good. Hidden little gem for sure. We haven't tried the pizza side of the restaurant yet.”
“Just enjoyed a delicious anniversary dinner! I had the best chicken parmigiana ever, and my husband had the tasty meat ravioli special. We also shared a perfect wine based on a great recommendation and had an incredible tiramisu for dessert. Excellent service and overall experience!”
“Hands down our favorite local breakfast spot--we try to get up there every weekend—I think we’ve managed to get up there every week for the last year except for two or three….and, of course, we’ll have an random special occasion weekday lunch there as well. This is one of the few places where it’s hard for me to decide what to get—usually, I find my favorite thing and then stick with that forever. At Pinecone, nearly everything is spectacular, which is great for variety’s sake, but it definitely complicates ordering. I went through a Chile Verde Omelette phase for about a year, spent a few months trying out new dishes each week, and am now stuck on the huevos rancheros—and I have a hard time believing I will ever want to order anything different from them again since this one is a masterpiece. I absolutely detest black beans—at least I thought i did—but, having learned that nearly everything Robin makes is wonderful, I decided to just order it as-is, no modifications (except sour cream, of course, because, really, why would anyone ever want to put anything in their mouth with a name like ’SOUR CREAM’???)—and I wasn’t disappointed. Meh, that’s not a strong enough statement: I was completely blown away that a breakfast food that doesn’t contain bacon could taste so amazing! And, I hate to admit it, but it’s that magical black bean puree that ties it all together (well, that and the fantastic Chile Verde that’s in there). I’ve even started ordering my other dishes with black bean sauce added. I don’t know what’s in there, but the stuff is fantastic. Other dishes that are amazing that may or may not be quite as amazing as the huevos rancheros or Chile Verde Omelette include the corned beef hash and eggs, the chicken fried steak, the Denver omelette, the breakfast burrito (with or without hashbrown in there), and, if it’s on the Specials List that day, I always love the chorizo and cheese filled bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers that come with a fantastic ensemble of bonuses (several eggs, my beloved black bean puree, country potatoes, toast…). I still wanna try the Italian Omellette and the Country Scramble and a few others….will get there eventually. I love these guys so much that I often can’t resist getting an extra lunch to eat later—even reheated, it’s still better than anything I can make. They have once again managed to make a very boring-sounding sandwich taste incredible—I mean, let’s admit it, it’s just really hard to make a grilled chicken breast sandwich have much flavor at all, but I very often end up getting Pinecone’s Dijon Chicken sandwich—perfectly cooked chicken topped with honey bacon, dijon, grilled red onions, and gouda on a french roll that’s not too crunchy and not too squishy. Strongly recommend getting both the zesty slaw and the french fries with this one—they do both of those shockingly well, that I add them to most any lunch items I order from them. In fact, I drove up there the other day just to get four orders of that slaw! Sometimes, ya just know what ya want…. Other lunch items I commonly end up walking out of there with include the blond reuben—somehow, it’s just as good as their corned beef reuben, which I absolutely love. Again, I have no idea how they manage to pack so much flavor in a meat that is about as boring as they come—but they do! My wife often gets the Brown Bear or the Prime Rib French Dip. Oh! And I almost forgot the burgers! I love most of them—as long as you order them pretty well done, so you get that wonderful charred smell, you really can’t go wrong. My go-to burgers are the Patty Melt, and the Classic Bacon Cheeseburger—the latter has pretty much everything you could want on a burger, no need to modify it. And the bacon! I don’t know where they get their bacon from but it seriously is one of the best bacons I’ve ever had—this definitely ain’t no cheapo Oscar Mayer bacon! Okay, I could go on and on but I think I’m about to break the word limit! Pinecone is good. Pinecone is wonderful. Pinecone will make you happy. Their prices are fair—especially with the cost of eggs an”
