Fresh and authentic flavors. A true mom and Pop but you need to speak Chinese or be prepared to go there and point at what you want. I have my mom call in my orders:) very friendly and accommodating also
Shanghai Gourmet - Arcadia, Los Angeles Shanghai Gourmet is a traditional Chinese restaurant that you can find at the Mon-Arc Center in Arcadia, Los Angeles. The place has the feel of an authentic Chinese restaurant in California, a great place to bring the family, and the staff was very friendly. Their pork 'was fall off the bone' good, the jalapeno beef was tender and the seaweed fish, coated by a seaweed batter and deep fried, offers a crispy surface and a moisty inside.

Our fav Shanghai restaurant closed, and our search for a new one brings us here. The rice cakes and seaweed fish was very very good. I so enjoyed lunch w/my friend that I brought my fam back for dinner the same week. The lion's head soup and green beans were delicious. We will be back to try more dishes.
