My husband gets the rat trap sandwhich with extra of their sauce, and I get the turkey on french with mix cheeses.I don't know how long they've been doing soup, but we got the brocolli and cheese, that too was really good.Not to mention they have a big assortment of cheeses and meats for sale.”

“A ride a bicycle, a lot… When I look at the route sheets for the various clubs that I ride with attend to pick ones that stop at Newcastle produce. It's hard to describe this place without using very positive flowery words. Everything they have is great, produce, mind-boggling array at the deli counter, indoor and outdoor seating, a wide array of craft sodas… The worst thing about this place is trying to decide what you want to eat!”

“With a doubt the best wood fired pizza in the area. If you have never had a wood fired pizza you have to try it, it's a game changer! Just don't be like the lady that wanted a refund because it was "burned", it's supposed to have charred parts, that's what sets it apart from "oven" pizzas and adds to the flavor. Staff is friendly and helpful, old town Newcastle charm at its best.”

“My third or fourth visit to Hawks. I've never been disappointed, and tonight was a memorable experience. Party of four for early dinner. The mushroom soup amuse bouche was wonderful. White Fog Farm lettuce salad was (reportedly) excellent. The Caesar salad was tasty but the creamy dressing revealed it as an imitation Caesar (in my opinion); the saving grace was the white anchovy on top. (I am a Caesar salad purist and I am frequently unimpressed; woe is me.). Entrées: Duck--excellent! Short ribs--excellent! Steelhead--excellent! Lamb loin--excellent and more! Wine: Fair--a Tuscan red, good but overpriced for the quality. Dessert: We have had the "beignets" before--these are tasty enough but they are NOT in any sense beignets--just sugary doughnut holes with caramel sauce on the side. What they called an entremet might, in a pinch, be considered a "deconstructed" entremet--but an entremet it was not. The parts were, however, very good, if little more than a small mound of fond chocolate with cocoa nibs and a bit of white filling. We were very pleased with the unexpected serving of two extra dessert items, quartets of little chocolate dollops on shortbread and Sangria-infused gel cubes--very playful and delightful. Decent late-bottled vintage port and good tea and coffee. The service was spot on--absolutely top-notch. We were VERY pleased with service and atmosphere. Despite the scattered culinary contradictions, I say : Go to Hawks--time well spent.”

“Came here on a Sunday afternoon. The service was super friendly. The space is open and comfortable with lots of seating inside and outside. The food was delicious. We got the hummus and one of their rotating specials. We would definitely come back. There were so many drink options to choose from including beers, ciders, seltzer, kombucha and non alcoholic sodas.”

“We've been to GG multiple times over the years (Bay Area locations too), but the food and service are always consistent no matter where you eat. This visit was for my wife's birthday because that's where she wanted to go. I asked ahead of time about particular seating and location, which they were happy to honor. When we arrived they were busy but our table was ready and we were seated promptly. They also topped off the night by allowing my wife to pick a dessert on the house, which was awesome! We've never been there to celebrate a birthday per se but now we know thats a wonderful experience as well!”

“Only giving one star on atmosphere because it was the most ridiculously hot, uncomfortable, miserable dining experience we have ever had. Not sure if no AC is their thing or what, but they clearly had power when we dined there. We couldn’t enjoy our meal due to how suffocatingly hot the dining room was.That aside, the food was absolutely wonderful. But we are hesitant to return since our dining experience was truly the most uncomfortable one either of us has ever experienced. We just wanted to eat and leave as quickly as possible. But maybe that’s the point?Parking: You may have to walk a bit. Parking lot is plentiful, but close-up parking isn’t typical.”

“I love the horchata boba here!! I dont like most boba places because of the black tea bitter taste they usually have. But this one doesn't have that aftertaste it is just right!Vegetarian options: Some of the jellies contain geletin. You just have to ask which ones are kosher.”

“I made an order for pick up. I was not prepared! This is the BEST butter chicken I’ve EVER eaten!!! 6 out of 5 stars! I was stuffed, so saved my chili chicken momo. Only issue was that when you order garlic naan, you get only o e piece, where every other place serving naan will give minimum two. But it was delicious! Will be coming back for the butter chicken guaranteed.”

“Stopped at AA for the first time on a Sunday after bowling. We ate in the large back room. I thought the prices were a bit high, but I admit that I don't eat out much and realize costs have come up. It is a huge menu, so something for everyone but may be overwhelming. Our server Wyatt was very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent. I sampled the reuben, salmon benedict, and bread pudding, all delicious. The portion size is generous and the food came out hot. AA gets my nod over Sweetpea's (across the freeway).”

“Excited to have an Ethiopian restaurant closer to home. I usually have to drive to Sac from Placer County. I ordered take out online today for lunch. The lady who greeted me when I walked in was very welcoming and answered all my questions. The restaurant was clean. The portion size was bigger than I expected. I appreciated that they separated certain parts of my order, like the cottage cheese and each of the lentils. I highly recommend the Doro Wat (chicken), Kay Sire (beets and potatoes) and Misr Wot (Red Lentils). They were delicious! Will be back for sure.”

I really enjoyed their beef & lamb lavish wrap and hummus; though, their traditional baklava was a little too sweet, I liked their chocolate baklava - it was a fun new take on baklava. Next time I'm here, I'm trying the Greek dip - love to try something new. Definitely, one of the best Mediterranean places to eat around the Galleria Mall in Roseville.”
