“A MUST TRY! Make sure to grab reservations! This restaurant makes it into my top 10, if not top 5 list of best restaurants I've visited. It wasn't any one thing, it was that EVERYTHING was fantastic. The service: the team at Fable & Spirit take the time to give their guests the best experience possible. The cocktails, and the food were all perfectly balanced in their flavors and excellently prepared-- what I loved most was that there were blends of flavors I hadn't experienced together before and they were delightful. I sat at the bar and Blake and his team took the best care of me.- Wood Fired Pizetta: delicious, I'd order again.- Short Ribs: delicious, but likely would not order again- Himachi (seasonal) Sashimi Plate: so fresh and amazing flavors, I'd always order their seasonal Sashimi.- Chasing Perfection Cocktail: Unique and delicious cocktail, would absolutely order again!!!- Callebraut Chocolate Budino: Shockingly delicious. This dessert was a show stopper and unlike any other dessert I've experienced. Would order again.I would love it if this team created a tasting menu experience!!!Fable & Spirit is perfect for date night ❤️.”
“Excellent service, atmosphere and perfect for date night. Excellent French cooking. Everything was delicious! While their tasting menu was absolutely stunning, ordering from the regular (and the special) menu would be more flexible. Portions were surprisingly generous.”
“I’ve had Zabb both take out and dine in and I will say each time the food is always exceptional. It’s my favorite Thai spot. I am vegan and loveeee their yellow curry. I get a spice level 10 and all the flavors are amazing. Can’t recommend enough. If I could have it everyday I would. At my work it is our go-to lunch option.”
“I have been coming to this place for as long as I can remember, and It's a 10 every single time! If you haven't been here yet, you need to come NOW. Our server, Stockton, was very nice and made sure we got our food fast. The atmosphere is not overwhelming and quite cozy. All of the staff are jolly and almost everyone in the restaurant joins together to sing happy birthday to random people haha. highly recommend this place!10/10P.s.Mama D's, I would appreciate it if you could print this out and put it on your review wall.Vegetarian options: I'm sure there's something on the menuDietary restrictions: Not sureParking: Some parking on the street. Some behind the building too. I also remember there being valet a few years ago but they may have gotten rid of itKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. “Eddie V's is one of our favorite restaurants that we frequent throughout the year, drawn by their delectable cuisine and unparalleled service. Opting to celebrate our anniversary there on a Tuesday proved to be an excellent choice, as they surpassed our expectations, showering us with attention and care. This establishment holds a special place in our hearts due to the exceptional service provided by both the staff and management. The ambiance exudes positivity, complemented perfectly by the delicious food. Whenever we crave a perfectly tender filet, this is our go-to spot. The crab cakes never disappoint, and recently, we indulged in the exquisite lobster tacos. Despite our inclination to try multiple dishes, we rarely have room for dessert. However, on our anniversary, we were treated to a delightful surprise - the butter cake, both delicious and beautifully presented. It was the perfect ending to our meal. Thank you for crafting a truly memorable anniversary dinner experience. We wholeheartedly recommend Eddie V's for its exceptional food, service, and atmosphere!”

“Incredible experience every single time. On our most recent visit we had the Soul in a Bowl poutine and the Do not even go there crepe, and both were amazing. Can't wait to get back and chip away at more of the huge menu.”

“Amazing experience. Everything is truly top notch. Oddly enough that chicken dish was the best chicken I've ever eaten in my entire life. Not sure how they did that but keep doing it!”
“Great menu with a variety of selections. Everything we've had here has been great. Only complaint is we had made a reservation and they didn't have a table ready... and wouldn't for at least 15-30 minutes. We decided to sit outside even though it wasn't our preference.”

“This place is top notch! The food is great quality and the employee’s are awesome! The owner is so kind very generous and donated food to our church geography homeschool group who were studying Australia! Thank you again Fred!!”
“This place is popular as it can get. You come there and just hear what people are raving about to get while you’re in line. Have to come back on Thursday to get the special sandwich ?. The fries are ? as advertised. A variety of drinks from the glass bottle also. The smoked double pastrami is a must try tho, and the meatloaf sandwich hit the spot.”

“Kéan Coffee Artisan Roasters serves the best coffee I've ever had, and their bakery items are top-notch too. Haven't tried every coffee yet, but I'm getting closer with each visit. Highly recommend to any coffee lover who appreciates exquisite brews and delicious pastries. Cheers!”

“Love the lunch here and enjoyed the chicken sandwiches , Taco and Hummus .But not many choices for veg and dessert to be honest is horrible .Services’s were good as well .”

“The service was great and food was amazing.Had to wait 20 minutes for a table with a better view. I didn’t mind waiting time since I treated my self a few cocktails by the bar.I recommend the Korean Short Ribs!!!”
“its been a year and a half since I have been here yet their food still tastes excellent! The calamari is the best appetizer you can get in my opinion. I loved the marinara sauce that came with it. I ordered some type of truffle pasta and they did not skip out on the truffle!! Biggest amount of truffle I have seen a restaurant give. My dad ordered a shrimp type of pasta and that was also delectable. For a dessert, we ordered the chocolate tart and it was so good!! This restaurant is on the pricer side yet still amazing!!”

“This is one of my favorite places for casual coffee or meeting with clients. The drinks and food are great, ambiance is wonderful, and there are plenty of spots inside with chargers if you need to work on your computer. And there is a yoga studio nearby if you want to do your morning workout, then grab some coffee!Parking in front can be tough to find during peak hours but there is a lot next to the bank with plenty of spots.Highly recommend this location.Parking: Parking in front of Kit can be tough to find during peak hours but there is a lot next to the bank with plenty of spots.”
“Love, love love the spice level and the generous portions! If you're a classicist, go for the avocado toast -- who doesn't love avocado toast. The food is great, the service is friendly enough but the atmosphere is a little too strip mall.Recommend the Bombay Bowl, it's filling and has complex flavors. A smoothie is always another good choice.”
“Authentic Italian ristorante and I loved this place. Very cozy atmosphere and the server was super friendly. He said that this place has been running over 30 years by the same owner's family. Food quality matters? You gotta go there. Size matters? You can leave your worries out the door. Don't skip Tiramisu. They make it from scratch and it is a Must to try.”
“One of the best lobster rolls I've had, will definitely be back. /24 As you can see in the pics quality has gone way down, Didn't taste anything like before”
Outdoor Dining
“The food is amazing. Very authentic pizza and the homemade pastas are unique and flavorful. The only downside on the menu is dessert. There is a hazelnut chocolate torte that tastes waxy, the panna cotta is good but not great and they add a lot of unnecessary toppings like black sesame seeds, and finally the gelato was icy, not creamy. I won't stop coming here because of the dessert but just be forewarned. If it's your birthday just hope they have tiramisu which is often the dessert of the day and quite good. Also, I don't understand the need for club music. It takes away from the ambiance. We always opt to sit outside where we can hear one another and they are more than accommodating.”
“This is such a cute and cozy restaurant on Balboa Island, great to stop in and grab a bite to eat after a walk around the island. The Stuffed Zucchini Flowers, RH Mac & Cheese and the Short Rib Fettuccine were the favorites of the evening by far. We could have just ordered doubles of these dishes and been in bliss. The shrimp and scallop curry risotto and chicken pot pie, for my taste were a bit bland; however, the rest of my dinner party did not agree and for them, the chicken pot pie was up there with the three favorites of the evening.”

“I'm a dietitian and this is THE BEST bread in NPB area hands down.Tastes fresh a few days later and no sour aftertaste. Baguette is superb. My kids LOVE their croissants and rye loaf.”
“Celebrating Christmas Eve Brunch at the Mayor's was incredible. Not only did they have the largest selection of top-quality foods, but their service was fantastic! It was all you can eat, and it was hard to stop devouring plate after plate. They had really refreshing iced tea with rose water in it. I didn't expect to see an ice sculpture as their centerpiece. I hope to come back again soon, as it was quite the experience.Vegetarian options: A lot of great optionsKid-friendliness: They offered a reduced price for kids, and they loved the experience!”

“We ordered the gyro plate with Greek salad, garlic potatoes and humus. Everything was fresh with great flavors. The spicy cilantro was a little bit spicy but had excellent flavor. The service was very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. Would definitely recommend pita pita.”

“Every time I search rooftop bars in OC topside is the first to come up so I was excited when my girlfriends mentioned she got reservations here. We stopped by on a Saturday around 7pm and I was expecting it to be more crowded but there was a good amount of people there. We were initially sat in a little spot away from the fire but we wanted to sit near the fire pit and they made it happen!! Such a cute vibe and the servers were really nice. We all got espresso martinis and they were amazinggggg. We didn't order any food but there is a short list of tapas. Overall great experience and a fun place to go for a drink or two! Most of the drinks are around $20 which is to be expected for the vibe.”
“Excellent cuisineA little piece of FranceToo bad that on arrival we were made to wait 20 minutes at the bar (like 2 or 3 tables) asking us twice what we wanted to consume before finally sitting in the room on the left which was almost empty. It's a shame that the waiter doesn't understand what we're asking and forgets to bring us or brings something completely different from what we asked for (drinks).”
“Incredible food! The sitting area outside seems so relaxing with 2 fountains, chairs & umbrellas. Your greeted with the Welcoming French language from the servers & the wait time was minimal. It was our first time & we will Definitely be back!”
“if my dad asks where I want to go for dinner, I will always pick this place. Me and my dad both skipped lunch for us to order a lot of food. For an appetizer we ordered the Seared Salmon Sushi. The order came out super quick and I loved how they seared garlic on top of the salmon!! I ended up finishing it all ?. For entrees, I ordered the Ravioli and it was delectable. The shrimp tasted amazing and the truffle sauce was excellent! My dad ordered the Sea Bass and it came with lots of veggies! Loved the freshness of the sea bass. Finally, we ordered the apple pie for dessert. The pie tasted so warm and home cooked. It reminded me of my grandma’s cooking. The ice cream added a nice coldness to the pie. Im not a sweet person but it was scrumptious!! I always come back and I am looking forward to my next visit!!”
“A hidden gem in NB. Great vibe, excellent food and friendly staff. My fra diavolo was piping hot and really good portion, really wonderful! Mahi sandwich w/ scalloped potatoes was so good too, could be shared. Kinda like Brophy Bro's from Santa Barbara, only no need to drive to SB!! ;)”
“Overall, this establishment has been a staple to Orange County. High quality fish, service, and atmosphere, so proud to see this place flourish.Poké is always fresh, with good portions, amongst other items that are always prepared with great ingredients include: poké burrito, sushi rolls, ceviche.Thank you for such a clean place and great vibes.”
“Absolutely wonderful! It's always refreshing to visit a restaurant that is 100% vegan. It's even better when the ambiance and atmosphere is also wonderful. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is expansive. The service is great. If/when I move to the area, I'll be a regular here! Don't keep scrolling for a place to eat - this is it!”

“Exceeded our expectations and was a very authentic Japanese experience. Some people commented that the price was too high, but the sushi was great and unique anywhere outside of Japan. I would recommend and will definitely come back when in Orange County.”
“The restaurant was jumping, with a wedding party next door but the kitchen was wonderful, getting our orders correct and timely to the table. We had the most upbeat and adorable waitress, her positive attitude and smile lit up the room. One of our party said "shame the poor girl is so depressed" because she was 180 degrees from that, just a great attitude and excellent service. Our friends split a prime rib dinner and the kitchen got it perfect - medium and tender meat. Our friend asked for mashed potatoes with no gravy and they brought another serving for him right away. I had the chili which was meaty and spicy, my husband had their great burger also cooked perfectly. Except for a large table next to us it was possible to carry on a conversation in 'inside voices" for most of the evening. We'll be back.”
“Service was great - there was more than one person assisting with clearing our table, wiping off the crumbs. The view of the marina was beautiful. Even though they technically don't have a kids menu, they accommodated us with a few options for our toddler. The food was delicious especially the cauliflower appetizer.”
“Those who know, know. The RIBS here are absolutely next level. Brisket and sausage are solid as well. What surprised us are the sides and unique flavored pickles. Very nice blend of traditional styles with Korean influences and there is a lot of love in the execution at Rib Bro.”
“Irish pub in an unlikely place across from Fashion Island. The place is welcoming and the staff is professional and knowledgeable as well as very friendly. Open late in an area that is not.”
“I have had one of the best meals in a few years. The fried octopus was sublime. The spicy tuna, good. The meat perfect. The chocolate dessert rich but very very good. Everything was perfect and this is going to be one of my favorite restaurants. The bill was honest. Absolutely ”
“Pancakes were delicious and a good portion. Parking seems small but we were able to find a spot in the lot on a weekday morning. Service was cheerful and responsive. Ambiance was laid back and no fuss.”
“Make sure you have reservations. With the spring/summer months coming up, those tables, inside and outside will fill up fast. The Opium hours were great, but so were the regular price entrees. Everything was delicious. Ambiance is fabulous, service was fantastic and food was sooooooooo delicious.”
“Hidden place with Beautiful view , the best tables on the balcony, broth and owen baked croissant with strawberry butter for entry. Food and services are good. Will return with my friends!”
“Every trip to Tommy Bahama in Newport Beach is a win. They've got this chill vibe that makes you feel welcome right away. What really got me last time was when I was feeling off, ordered soup, and they tossed in some bread and a note that hit the spot. It’s those small things that show they’re actually paying attention. The food's always good, straightforward without trying too hard. But it’s the little extras and the vibe that keep me coming back. If you're in Newport Beach, it's worth stopping by. They manage to make each visit feel like they're glad to see you, which is pretty rare.”
“I LOVE this place! My family and I wanted to go somewhere new and decided on Skal Pizza. It being our first time we didn't know what to get. Our server Payton was so patient and kind. He suggested the butternut squash pizza and the kale ceaser salad. And he was right, it was amazing! We could tell the staff were all so friendly and our server was especially helpful. If you want some tasty food definitely try this place!”
“Had the Butchers Love. Perfectly cooked excellent quality steak. Either the small end of tenderloin or spinalis of ribeye. Had a perfect char crust, sea salt, and a mild amount of chimichurri type sauce brushed on. Came with grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes. Had with a glass of Chapellet Mtn Cuvée. Definitely the best meal I had over a long weekend visiting Newport Beach .”
“Dinner (biscuits, filet mignon) was delicious and the atmosphere was very convivial and relaxing. But the highlight of the evening was Amanda, who seems to genuinely care about her work and the people she encounters every day, and who made our evening with her contagious smile. Thank you Amanda! Hope you remember us when you see this.”
“Let’s make it simple: we travel from Las Vegas to Newport just for this restaurant. We first stumbled upon this place 4 years ago because it was the only restaurant open at 830 and it is an absolute gem.The food is out of this world and the service is exceptional. They even helped me propose two years at the restaurant and instantly recognized us when we went back this year.”
“Excellent food. Great service from owner. Friendly and willing to suggest best plate on the menu. The kabob was delicious. I would recommend if you are in new port ”

“Best nigiri selection ever! The fish was super fresh and high quality and the service was amazing too. I like blue fin tuna, yellowtail and salmon but never tried seabass in any sushi place before, it was all amazing and we also had oysters and it came with sauce on top already, all top notch and not that expensive if you compare the quality you have. Don't forget to call before you go, there is a lineup most of the time. Wasabi is also pretty tasty and strong not like those imitation ones.”
Takeout Restaurants
“Amazing view, nice shakes, okay burgers. If you are planning to watch the sunset here, consider getting here 45 minutes or so before, since there will be a line for parking, a line to order, and you should wait for some tables to be available. If you are 2+ people, you can parallelize the parking line and the ordering line.”
“This gelato place offers some of the best authentic flavors around. Expect a wait on weekends, but it's worth it. They have a limited selection, but the service staff is friendly. Don't miss out on their delicious Belgian chocolate flavor.”
“I just love the pastries and the smoothies. My favorite combination is the Sao Paulo Acai smoothie with a ham and cheese empanada. The Madley Mango bowl is also a good choice. And the staff is super friendly! It's one of my favorite spot for sure!”

“The “cookies and cream” is phenomenal!! The baked cookies were soft, chewy, and crisp in all the best ways. Perfect family dessert night. Great bang for your buck.Kid-friendliness: Ice cream samples help everyone make great decisions.”
“Consistency! Tk burger has always maintained quality and consistent taste of their burgers! Same great flavors and quality you can trust! You know what you're getting every time you order!”

“lovely little beach acai bar with fresh acai bowls and a great atmosphere. this place is a must-go for acai in newport beach! they have layers of granola so you have crunch in every bite and a honey bottle so you can add your own honey and I lovedddd! would go back 1000x times.”
“Super friendly and convenient.obviously family owned and quite professional.Best pizza delivered by most attentive and friendly people. We will be back??Vegetarian options: Gourmet Veggie is the best option!!”
“No trip to Balboa Island is complete without stopping and getting a frozen banana and occassionally some ice cream here. The banana’s are big enough to share and have a variety of delicious flavors. Highly recommended.Parking: Finding a nearby parking spot can be rough, especially on the weekend.”
“I've only had the snickerdoodle cookies so far, and they are absolutely delicious. They tasted like your grandma's homemade cookies, but you can get as many as you want because your mom isn't there to stop you.10/10 would recommend, and will be going back soon. The owner is great, she's super nice and loves what she does! What more can you ask for?”
“A nice cafe for brunch, pastries, and coffee! Lots of seating indoors and outdoors but will get busy on the weekend. Lots of parking which is nice.Food wise, I really enjoyed their breakfast burrito. My partner had their eggs benedict which I felt was average. Their pastries were nice! I liked their chocolate croissant and raisin scone. Also enjoyed their latte, you can choose to substitute for oat or almond milk at no additional cost, which I appreciate :)”
“Here are the pros … beautiful architecture, good food (appreciate the option for vegan cheese which is tasty), good drinks, attentive service.… and the cons: very loud if you’re dining inside on the weekend, our round table was wobbly (quite unexpected when you’re paying a premium for your meal), valet parking ($8 not including tip) is required unless you have a lot of time and patience to search the beach streets for parking and are willing to hike a bit.”
“Wandering for several hours with my daughter-in-love, her newborn and her 2 year old we were ready for dinner. Wilma's not only offered us a window, but a back cozy seating so mama could nurse and the 2 yr old could be free to chat. The food was delicious. I shared a chicken nacho with my grandson and my daughter had the sourdough bread chowder. The entire staff were quick to assist when needed and offered great service. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable with the beautiful table clothes. A must see and visit when wandering in Balboa Bay.Sadly no food pictures as a toddler kept me busy.”
“Valentine’s Day at Sol Grill was nothing short of magical. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted with warmth and charm. The ambiance was perfect for a romantic evening, with dim lighting, and a cozy atmosphere that instantly set the mood.”The food and service was fantastic, with attentive staff who anticipated our every need without being intrusive.Overall, our experience surpassed all expectations. It was the perfect setting to celebrate love and indulge in outstanding cuisine. We left feeling not only satisfied but also deeply grateful for the memorable evening we shared. We can’t wait to return and create more beautiful memories at this charming gem.”

“I visited this EL Pollo Loco today and I was very happy with the experience. I received a warm hello and was thanked for my visit. Most importantly the chicken was delicious. It was juicy, moist, and very tasty. Service was also very fast, which is always appreciated. Kudos to all staff!”
“I had breakfast at Woody's during a recent trip. OMG, if you want a fabulous treat that's not too unhealthy try the Paradise French toast! A huge portion of French toast sprinkled with strawberries, blueberries, bananas, coconut and powdered sugar! I'm pretty tiny but I wolfed down the entire thing, as my photos will attest! I was there for quite some time and the server was friendly and helpful, providing just the right amount of checking in on the meal. It's a diner so the ambience reflects that. It wasn't too noisy though. I never eat breakfast out so don't really have a comparison for the value. Parking was complementary and available and I was seated right away. But it definitely was a delicious treat which I highly recommend!”
“The employees are always kind and friendly. I work close by and It’s a great place to have for my colleagues and I. Food is good and the place is always clean. The managers are always smiling.”
“Five Crowns is the more bougie version of your average Lawry's across the nation. According to the server, the reason for its namesake is because this is the 5th store to open from Lawry's. Parking is across the street and you pay $8 for valet. Service could be a bit slow and you are notified that your prime rib will take 25mins to come out. Unlike Lawry's, Five Crowns does not push out the prime rib cutting cart and your food is brought to you already cut. Another difference lies in that you do not get a salad for your prime rib meal but that's not a huge concern imo. Everything tasted good, however just a bit under "salted" but you are given Lawry's signature salt and pepper on your table for your use. Imo Five Crowns is not worth a visit unless you really enjoy the decor around the restaurant. Your average Lawry's is much better imo.”
“I had the fish dog, fries, Chicago style veggie dog. Everything was tasty and made to order. The Chicago dog didn't have this poppy seed bun but still good flavor. Fries were like regular fries at a restaurant. Nothing special to holler about! They have three different veggie dogs that I would like to try. I only have the Chicago style bud. The other ones look interesting. The hot dog that had the fish strip in it had cheese and tartar sauce which is very tasty.”
“Can never go wrong with a chick-fil-A sandwich for lunch! Healthier option since they use peanut oil instead of Vegetable Oil! Get extra pickles on it? …I’ll be ”
“Friendly staff but unfortunately the restaurant was quite dirty inside. Toilet was also not very clean despite needing a code to enter it. Food was pretty good though.”
“Generally I never step into Taco Bell due to some bad experience in San Francisco store. But here I ordered couple of veggies . Wow fresh and tasty as expected . Kudos to the friendly staff here .”
“It was the end of the night and everything was looking a little rough. Understandably so.The VERY nice man at the counter pointed out to me what had been cooked last. He recommended the Orange Chicken because it had just come out 10 minutes ago.So I took his advice and it was delicious! ?The staff was very friendly, and the food was very good!A little pricey, but... it is Fashion Island (the high rent district!), and what isn't pricey these days! Ugh! Everything is!Anyway... if you're at Fashion Island and want a quick bite... go to Panda Express! They've got lots of yummy choices! Enjoy!”
“Food is great, but prices have really ratcheted up over the years. A simple crunchy taco or soft taco should be a dollar or less, considering their meat is mostly Soy filler. The drive through wasnt working and the guy taking the order was rude.”
“This was a typical Jimmy John's experience...but maybe a little bit better than the average. The vegetables were incredibly fresh. The bread, as usual, was on point, and the service was very good as well. Essentially what I'm saying is that I've had some really bad jimmy John's experiences, but this particular location seems to be ran well (management? employees? Idk). Maybe it cpuld be some sort of bait and switch, maybe they get the most out of their staff by handing out benzos. But whatever it is, this is the nest jimmy johns I've been to.”
“This is the best and cleanest and most efficient as well as polite McDonald's on the coast. Stephka is expecially on it and makes sure everyone leaves happy and delivers every order with patience and a smile”
“Yes I know we have a number of taco tuesday snobs in Orange County and Newport Beach and I'm all for high end lobster tacos and stuff like that on the weekends. Was in a pinch to "get shit done" and find within a place to get on-line with my laptop - crank out two business proposals - get a nice taco lunch with a Dr. Pepper and crisp fries - short wait time - and to be left alone while I'll logged on and GSD between meetings. And yes, I got it all done around noon - with a 5 minute wait on my order and 3 minute wait in line. Staff was appropriately friendly and responsive and while the interior and exterior were not the most super polished for a taco restaurant, good enough for me on a hot summer day and got me to the next meeting on time. Carl's next door to Del Taco had NO wifi connection and Starbucks across the street would have been a pain in the ass to find a seat with the crowds. While I eat at Del Taco perhaps 2-3 times a year the reviews I differ with the reviews here about poor customer service and if you're in a pinch to get something done (except pinch a loaf - try Carl's for that) - this is a good stop for 20 minutes.”
“I do not leave reviews very often, but had an experience that far exceeded my expectations with Armando and Isabel yesterday. There were some technical problems with my app as I order through that. I did not expect it, but Armando and Isabel were very helpful and straightened everything out for me…these two were very professional, very efficient and very cordial…I’m a lifelong native CA In-n-out guy, but this location food quality and high level of service may convert me to Wendy’s…your burgers are most excellent!!!”

“lovely little beach acai bar with fresh acai bowls and a great atmosphere. this place is a must-go for acai in newport beach! they have layers of granola so you have crunch in every bite and a honey bottle so you can add your own honey and I lovedddd! would go back 1000x times.”

“Service was great - there was more than one person assisting with clearing our table, wiping off the crumbs. The view of the marina was beautiful. Even though they technically don't have a kids menu, they accommodated us with a few options for our toddler. The food was delicious especially the cauliflower appetizer.”

Royal Hen
“This is such a cute and cozy restaurant on Balboa Island, great to stop in and grab a bite to eat after a walk around the island. The Stuffed Zucchini Flowers, RH Mac & Cheese and the Short Rib Fettuccine were the favorites of the evening by far. We could have just ordered doubles of these dishes and been in bliss. The shrimp and scallop curry risotto and chicken pot pie, for my taste were a bit bland; however, the rest of my dinner party did not agree and for them, the chicken pot pie was up there with the three favorites of the evening.”
Fine Dining
“We found this place on a whim after our wait at another sushi restaurant was over 1.5 hrs. We decided to do the omakase. It was the single best sushi experience I've had in my life. Not only was the selection given to us continuously amazing bite after bite, but the service was impeccable. We definitely found a new favorite spot. Treat yourself to a special evening here. They also have a non omakase option if that's not in your budget.”
“Overall beautiful place, however, some guests were rather loud and we didn't expect that level of vocality in such an establishment as it took from our experience. We were hoping for a more quiet atmosphere so we can enjoy each other's company, and we simply didn't get that.”
“My husband had the wild boar and it was one of the best dishes we've ever had! Everything was absolutely delicious! It's one of our favorite restaurants . Our teenage boys love it too!”
“The service, atmosphere, and cocktails were outstanding. The food was a solid “good.” We had the tasting menu. I expected something special by choosing that option, something I hadn’t ever had, something that would take me out of my comfort zone, but instead it was very standard. The food was all good, just unimaginative.”
“It is always and always a great pleasure to dine at this lovely and professional steak house, all the employees are hard working. I had Isaac Gopar as my server, he is so kind and wonderful. His service was extremely attentive, and perfect. His passion shows thru beautifully. Along with Jose Cavallaro as well. Gus, the General Manager. You have a great team. Thank you Gus. Their menu is complete and delicious, I had many meetings and experiences. But wait. The desserts made by Chef Diana Sosa, is out of this world. Please come in and experience it for yourself and make lasting memories...”
“First class service, excellent food. Great atmosphere with live music. We enjoyed every moment we were there. The staff is super friendly and extremely professional. I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends and colleagues. Travis and Michael are the best waiters around 5 star plus to them both!!!!!”
“Super friendly and convenient.obviously family owned and quite professional.Best pizza delivered by most attentive and friendly people. We will be back??Vegetarian options: Gourmet Veggie is the best option!!”
Cheap Eats
“Shrimp tacos with flour tortillas. All day, every day. So bomb. They cost 4.25 a piece, so a little pricey, but we ate it 3 out of 4 days. Order online to pick up. The lobes can get long, and the restaurant is small inside. Must get while in New Port!”
“Old guard sailors , local billionaires, tourists & folks from the trailer park patronize this original 50s style diner . They've kept the prices pre-pandemic. I enjoy the view of the marina , but the food is just ok.”
“Came here on a whim since it was right next door to my husband and I’s hotel. The place was amazing. The food was very fresh and was delicious. The mimosa sampler was a great deal.”
“I love Cest si bon, my absolute favorite for pastries and sandwiches. Amazing deli. But the coffee drinks are so so bad! The cappuccinos and lattes are always burnt and flavorless. Hope you guys improve these!”
“The BEST gelato hands down.. soo good! I love how they're located in the center and easy to access. I wish they would open one in Huntington Beach, so I wouldn't have to drive so far.. I'd go there everyday!!”
“This place is such a gem! The food is delicious (love their veggie croissant sandwiches). Jerry and his wife are super sweet and friendly everytime I come in. Love to support this small business!”
“We ate here twice on our trip .. Food was fantastic, everyone in our group loved what they ordered. Didn't take long to get our food. Staff was exceptional, very very friendly and super nice! Little difficult to find at night, kinda hidden but well worth it!”
“Ordered the legendary Balboa Bar! It was busy but not overly crowded and there's plenty of community seating in the little shopping area. Service was quick and excellent. The bar was delicious and so fresh--it's also MASSIVE! They also don't skimp on the toppings so it can end up being pretty dense! Recommend sharing!”
“My husband and I came here for a cup of coffee on our honeymoon. It is very close to our hotel. The staff was super helpful explaining the different types of coffee they have. My husband’s drink ok. Overall we enjoyed our drinks and will be back before we ”
“My first time at your restaurant! Staff was attentive and food was fresh and delicious! Any way they could include pita bread or sourdough as an added item if requested?”
“Great food...GREAT service....it's funny how great service makes the experience so much more enjoyable. The whole team there smiles and makes you feel good. Thank you!”
“Delicious! We work in construction and are always looking for new places. We got delivery and they were quick and saved us time. Would go again 10/10. My new favorite pizza restaurant. Can’t wait to try more than just the pizza.”
“Whenever my family and I go on vacation to Newport, we often eat here. The pizza is delicious and decently priced. The location is great and the restaurant has always been clean. The side of the restaurant is open so you can sit and people watch and enjoy the cool air.”
“Man it was so good I had the carne asada burrito with guacamole and green chili sauce. It's almost like a Chipotle but with an actual Mexican food feel to it. It was so good best I had in a long time. With Churros.”
“LOVE Al Cap!! Ryan and all make you feel so welcome, and the coffee is amazing. You have to get the iced coffee, because they don’t just give you regular ice cubes, they make coffee ice cubes so when it melts your drink doesn’t get all watered down. WHOA!”

Sol Grill

Ciao Balboa
“We stumbled on this restaurant. It was so delicious!!! Best pizza dough and cheese I've ever tasted and I am a pizza lover. Great customer service and fresh food.”

Cafe Sakana
“OK I hate to share this with everyone because I love how low-key the spot is. Best sushi in Newport Beach tucked away in a quiet little courtyard with great ambience on the patio. The service is always excellent. My husband who is not a sushi lover is happy to have dinner here, big fan of the Sakana roll, the Olivia roll, and the J roll”
“We found this place on a whim after our wait at another sushi restaurant was over 1.5 hrs. We decided to do the omakase. It was the single best sushi experience I've had in my life.

Skal Pizza
“I LOVE this place! My family and I wanted to go somewhere new and decided on Skal Pizza. It being our first time we didn't know what to get. Our server Payton was so patient and kind. He suggested the butternut squash pizza and the kale ceaser salad. And he was right, it was amazing! We could tell the staff were all so friendly and our server was especially helpful. If you want some tasty food definitely try this place!”

“First time here and won't be my last. I only work a couple of miles from here and am sad I could havebeeneating here this whole time!Great tasting pizza. Good lunch specials need to bring the wife here!Interior is a bit loud during lunch, but they have outside tables and are clean.Service is at the counter, attended by quick and pleasant staff.”

“Emma was a great server! We were seated quickly & got our food fast. We got the Pad Thai and it was delicious. Really good portions at a great price. 10 out of 10 recommend.”
“Very pleased to be seated in pleasant location, considering dining solo. Decor very nice (rooms of a comfortable proportion for comfortable and quiet atmosphere. Service attentive. Food flavorful and of good quantity. Everything to be expected in a "fine dining" experience!”

Mutt Lynch's
“Been going to this place for atleast 15 years when visiting Newport. The service is great. The pizza is quite good for California pizza (pizza snob). In the summer the windows are wide open and you can sit there and feel the breeze come right off the ocean. I always get one schooner of beer. That’s basically one really big beer. All you need. Make sure you aren’t driving. After you eat take a walk down the pier to burn off the calories.Kid-friendliness: The last I was there I had my ex and step kids. No issues at all with them there. Wasn’t crazy inside. Everyone was nice. I probably wouldn’t bring kids there late in the evening though. I mean it’s nothing against the venue. It’s that it’s not appropriate to bring your kids to a sports bar at night when it’s time for folks to party and whatnot.”

El Cholo
“Absolutely delicious entrees! My Carnitas were the BEST I ever had!Lovely restaurant. Excellent, attentive service, with genuine smiles!Family owned and operated for 95 years!Feliz annversario!”

“We went for a family dinner to celebrate an anniversary. Food was amazing, and every dish had it's own delicious flavor! The service was fantastic! The waiter paid particular attention to the children in iur party. He has added the extra bit of personalized attention that makes for a truly memorable evening. We will definitely be back!!”
“Got my order delivered by ubereats and it was so yummy! I got the Pb Acai Bowl and a juice. For the bowl I subbed the peanut butter for almond butter and added vegan protein.Super yummy and healthy! The quality of ingredients and the presentation was great.”

“We ordered the pistachio encrusted salmon from the special menu. Wow what a wonderful choice. We started with a delicious salad, full of cheese and chickpeas and tomatoes and cucumbers and artichokes. My husband ordered the angel hair pasta with salmon. He thinks that might’ve been the best pasta he’s ever had The spices and the freshness. It all worked so well together to create an unforgettable dish. The competent service and honest, caring to make the dining experience excellent without being intrusive, help to make this wonderful experience. Because the night was cool, we were hesitant about sitting on the patio. However, the heat lamps kept it toasty, and we loved being on the beautiful serene patio. We were here once before and ordered takeout. We were very impressed with how great the takeout food was. It made us want to come back and actually eat at the restaurant. It was a great decision. We encourage you to try this gem.Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible”
“One of the absolute best meals I have ever eaten. Great service and the atmosphere was incredible. If you are looking for authentic food in a fun setting STRONGLY consider Casablanca!”
“Beautiful view of the water. Best key lime pie I have ever had! My girls loved the flourl sstorte as well. The cauliflower steak was an amazing vegetarian option with a side of mushrooms.Vegetarian options: Cauliflower Steak was wonderful!”
“Bluewater Grill is the best place for seafood in Orange County. They have a great variety of fish and shellfish; the service is wonderful, and they have free corkage. My wife and I dine here 2 to 3 times a month and are neveer disappointed. We had two of our favorites. She had the baked Haddock with scalloped potatoes and asparagus only had them serve it with the Lemon Caper Burre Blanc which is a fantastic sauce over fish. I had the steamed clams and mussels, which I usually alternate with the Cioppino (which is the best) and the Chipotle blackened swordfish over dirty rice. Absolutely wonderful. The servers are some of the best. Friendly, helpful and since we eat here a lot, most will stop by and say hello. We love this restaurant.”

“Been wanting to try this place forever. Hard to get into. Only 7 indoor tables and 3-4 outdoor tables with heaters. Good food at high prices. Unfriendly servers.”
“THIS IS THE BEST STEAK AND SERVICE I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!You can cut this filet mignon with a fork!Every single bite was a delightful taste sensation! ?And our server, Mavie, was outstanding! Ask for his section, and when he asks any questions, just say "Do it the way YOU would do it!" Everything he did was perfection! From the Octopus appetizer, to the steaks, to the asparagus! Everything was perfection!I'll be back soon for more amazing meals! ??My hats off to the chefs as well! Amazing, amazing, amazing!EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!”
“Overall beautiful place, however, some guests were rather loud and we didn't expect that level of vocality in such an establishment as it took from our experience. We were hoping for a more quiet atmosphere so we can enjoy each other's company, and we simply didn't get that.”
“WOW. No words, came here this last Friday for a company event that our bosses rented out the place for and the food was SPECTACULAR!! We complained that we should've brought to go boxes because the food was mouthwatering, fresh, and constantly coming out of the oven! The wait staff was incredibly nice and easy going, but beyond that made sure our glasses were never empty. The best sauv blanc! Cant wait to come back!!”
“Really cool coffee spot with exceptional coffee and great food. The pastries were delicious and the coffee was super smooth. Great outdoor seating and hip environment to grab a bite to eat or a cappuccino!”
“Came here with my husband while on the ur honeymoon. Everything was amazing. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly. If I’m ever in the area again I would come back.”

“Exceeded our expectations and was a very authentic Japanese experience. Some people commented that the price was too high, but the sushi was great and unique anywhere outside of Japan. I would recommend and will definitely come back when in Orange County.”
“Stopped in for a quick Cappuccino, Cafe Mocha, and an order of Smash Avocado Toast on Multigrain Bread (W O W not your average Avocado toast, insanely kicked up to stellar!!!!!). Everything was superb, unique, delicious, beautifully presented and just fantastic!!!!! Extremely welcoming and pleasant staff, especially RHEA C!!! Wonderful food, coffee and experience, will DEFINITELY return to this wonderful gem.”

Bar One
“Our new favorite restaurant! Two trusted foodie friends recommended this place, and it did not disappoint. Everything that we ordered was delicious. Drinks were incredible, too. Our server was so helpful, charming, and made the evening a lot of fun. Will absolutely go back. Highly recommend!”
“Finally got a chance to make it out to the reopened Crab Cooker in Newport Beach. This restaurant is a Newport Beach institution. I picked up a large clam chowder, breadsticks and a coke to take back to work. On rainy days I would park by the ocean and eat my chowder while listening to the rain come down, but this day I had some work to jump back onto. This is a place my dad used to take all of us to when we were kids. Now that my wife and I are splitting up and I am moving out of California I am really going to miss The Crab Cooker.”
“Myself and my spouse have been eating here for the last 6 or so years now. I can say the quality of the food, staff and overall restaurant is great! It's an intersection of locals, folks who are "in the know" and tourists it seems like, emphasis on locals. I generally don't think that is always the tried-and-true sign of a good eating establishment, but in this case it certainly rings true. Their portions are great, the quality and consistency of the food is great. It's a bit of a vestige of an older era of restaurants/bars that simply served good food, a vibrant bar, and a little bit of something for everyone. I think perhaps due to ownership, kitchen staff and waitstaff they've really been able to keep it at a very good quality while not having to reinvent themselves or update to modern "culinary experiences" that many of us are used to seeing today in newer establishments. It's really worth checking out- it's unpretentious, offers consistent, quality food and great service.”

“This sushi is sooooo fresh. Daily fish deliveries. The sushi chefs have created amazing yet traditional sushi sublely dressed to perfection. I don't dare dip these in wasabi soy for fear of masking the flavor perfection. Most memorable on this visit was Kinmedai (Golden Eye Snapper). My Japanese-born girlfriend loves this place, enjoys her conversation with the sushi chef, and happily declares this is not "California Sushi"”
“Couldn’t ask for a better experience! Bravante Vineyards consistently delivers excellent wines, the location is fantastic, and (most importantly) it’s run by great, down-to-earth ”

Bazille
“EXCELLENT SERVICE ! My wife and I were doing some shopping at Fashion Island late on Friday afternoon. After finishing up our shopping at around 4.30pm we were thinking of heading outside the mall to grab some dinner. BUT THEN ! We really don't know the eateries here at all but we have had good dining experiences at Bazille ( inside Nordstrom ). My wife liked my suggestion...why leave the mall for dinner and hit bumper to bumper traffic on a Friday afternoon. FOND MEMORIES ! In fact a few years back we enjoyed a sensational dinner at Bazille in La Jolla. My wife still remembers her Lobster Mac & Cheese and I totally loved my Seared Scallops. And dessert was sensational....hard to beat Chocolate Paradise Cake and Maple Apple Cobbler. FIRST TIME HERE ! So we arrived here around 4.45pm and Alexander the host gave us a warm welcome. First up we asked him to point us to the restrooms ? After that we settled at a comfy table away from the open entrance. Soon after a friendly server named Jeff stopped by to help us. We had been checking out the menus incl the dessert menu. THINGS CHANGE ! The menu was vastly different from our last visit to a Bazille location 2 years ago. I ordered a Clown Shoes "Galactica Socal Citra" West Coast Style IPA....something new and a Crisp Calamari Starter. Meanwhile my wife decided on a Roasted Turkey & Avocado Club Sandwich and I went with the Nordstrom Burger with Fries option instead of Salad. My ice cold can of beer and a chilled glass arrived courtesy of Jeff. The IPA tasted surprisingly good and was very refreshing ! Soon after my huge Crisp Calamari Starter hit the table...it looked pretty good and tasted alright. Before we knew it my wife's Roasted Turkey & Avocado Club Sandwich arrived followed quickly by my big fat Nordstrom Burger with seasoned French Fries. Around this time Giselle the manager dropped by to say hello. We mentioned some of the delicious items we had tried that were no longer featured on the menu...Giselle remembered the Lobster Mac & Cheese, Seared Scallops, Chocolate Paradise Cake and Maple Apple Cobbler....all gone ! My wife thought her club sandwich tasted pretty good and I didn't mind my burger with its huge beef patty ( I thought ). After reading the ingredients in more detail I saw that it was a Beyond Beef Patty....fake beef is not my thing. DESSERT ! Nothing really exciting or tempting on the dessert menu so we gave it a big miss. Being big Nordstrom fans it's such a shame the menu has been dumbed down in here !”

Wild Taco
“Such a cool chill place and the yellowtail tacos were some of the best fish tacos I've ever had. Verde sauce was awesome as well, had a kick.Kid-friendliness: There were just 2 families there when we went and both sets of kids were running all over having fun. Chill vibe.”
“ULTRA DELICIOUS LUNCH ! My wife and I are always on the lookout for a good feed someplace new. THIS IS IT ! We made a pretty big purchase at Bloomingdale's very recently...our first ever and it was a very enjoyable experience. So we thought their in-store restaurant might be worth trying. I looked up the lunch menu online and was pleasantly surprised with the selection...and the prices. On Saturday we arrived at Fashion Island around 1pm. After parking our wheels in the multi level parking garage we walked over here. It was a rainy day so their covered outdoor patio was shut down. We headed inside Bloomingdale's and asked a female sales associate where was the 59th & Lex Cafe ? The lady pointed to our right and there it was. We walked inside at 1.11pm and a friendly server named Hunter said those 2 tables against the wall are in a nice warm location. NOT MUCH GOING ON ! We may have been a bit early for the regular lunch time crowd...there were maybe 2 other diners in sight. Hunter brought us menus.....we wanted all the menus incl the very important dessert menu. We asked for iced waters and very soon 2 huge glasses of iced water arrived. THE MENU ! My wife spotted THE ULTIMATE GRILLED CHEESE ( mozzarella, cheddar, bacon, grilled tomato, sourdough ) includes your choice of Skinny Cut Fries, Steakhouse Fries, Potato Salad, House Salad, Caesar Salad. WHAT A LIST ! We asked Hunter if one was big enough to share...he suggested not. We ordered 2 x Ultimate Grilled Cheese Sandwiches.....mine with Steakhouse Fries while my wife took up an option for Asparagus Soup. Oh and Hunter gave us the option to add Caramelized Onions to our grilled sandwiches. YES PLEASE ! We also asked about Lattes and Cappuccinos..we could see a pretty decent espresso machine behind the cashier counter. Mmmm those 15 oz cups looked a lot bigger than what we wanted. FAST SERVICE ! Our beautifully presented lunch hit the table at 1.30pm. Everything looked very fabulous. The grilled cheese sandwiches were fully loaded and quite large....we could have shared. But gee they were delicious...the caramelized onions took it to the stratosphere. My huge potatoey Steakhouse Fries hit the spot and my wife really enjoyed her well made Asparagus Soup. TOO BAD ! We got though about half of our sandwiches. DESSERT ! They had a very nice selection. We chose the TRIPLE CHOCOLATE MOUSSE ( dark chocolate cake, milk chocolate mousse, white chocolate mousse ). We asked Hunter if he could knock out a couple of cappuccinos for us in smaller cups with 2% milk and Monin Hazelnut Syrup. NO PROB ! Before we knew it Hunter brought out 2 small cappuccinos which he made...they tasted very rich & creamy. Our nicely presented Triple Chocolate Mousse arrived soon after....and tasted totally delectable ! Towards the end of our lunch we had a lovely chat with 2 regulars...female vendors from Neiman Marcus. Martha and Robin were a couple of real life characters....aka Thelma & Louise. Lunch was great and our friendly server Hunter is in the top tier of servers !”
“We spent the first part of spring break in Newport Beach with our teen aged sons and their friends. We had some dietary considerations so wanted to find places to eat that were sensitive to nut allergies and tasty vegan dishes. West Coast Deli had some really nice reviews, and so we tried them and were very happily surprised that it was even better than expected! Manager Josh was super warm and helpful and sensitive to our needs, and the staff made some superbly tasty food! Great sourcing and recipes! All of the sandwiches were outstanding, and our hard to please vegan was very happy! I cannot recommend them highly enough! Go and check them out!Dietary restrictions: great vegan choices!”
“We ordered, Salmon Sashimi, Beef Gyoza, Super Crunch Roll, Crazy Roll. Everything was super delicious, HOWEVER the crumbs weren’t crunchy, so the super crunch wasn’t crunchy.”
“Had an excellent experience their first time, I was there before when it was under a different name and Chef. The food we had the service we had the atmosphere was just outstanding!!! The service was impeccable. The food was over the top they were not skimpy either on the lobster my eggs Benedict haven't had tater tot since I was a kid they were great can't say more about it again for dinner.”
“We were in town on holiday. Family of 5 and one of our children has celiac. We tried this restaurant on our first day for brunch and it was phenomenal. Staff gave us complete confidence that the kitchen understood our gluten concerns and assured us there would be no cross contamination. There were tons of options to choose from. We loved it so much, that we came back 4 more times in the week for dinners. It became our home kitchen away from home. Highlights of what we had: butternut squash soup, chicken ranch wrap, the PIZZAS (so good), the Korean noodles, the hummus, the dessert menu, and the drinks (the OG was a favourite). Looking forward to our next holiday to come back!Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free (celiac safe) options!!!”
“My husband had the wild boar and it was one of the best dishes we've ever had! Everything was absolutely delicious! It's one of our favorite restaurants . Our teenage boys love it too!”
“All across the board - five stars! I chose the "Louie's Land and Sea Dueto" at MP - a six ounce "Revier Farm Petit Filet, with Australian Lobster Tail ". The Australian lobster had the deepest flavor; and with a quick dip in melted butter just could not be surpassed. Oh, yes - I will be returning to Louie's.”

“We were at the side for Valentines Day, we've been customers for years more than 20 as a matter of fact, so when my lovely wife commented about are meal she was attacked by other patrons, we are not spoiled children we are 60 yrs.old. her meal was fantastic salmon and mashed potatoes, I ordered the sirloin,I have eaten thousands of steaks, it was boot leather did not eat it or take it home, we love this place, the coconut shrimp appetizer was dreadful, cold over cooked and tough, ok bad night we will still come we love you guys but for a 240$ tab I thought the people of your place would appreciate the feedback. Those of you attacking my wife grow up. See you soon.R G”

Classic Q
“I've frequented Classic Q numerous times, and it never fails to impress as a premier spot to catch the big games. However, what truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service. Our server, Bailey, embodies everything you'd want in a server: friendly, kind, and incredibly attentive. If you have the chance to visit, I highly recommend requesting to be seated in her section for a flawless experience.”
“I had the mahi tacos which costed about $24 for two tacos with rice pilaf and black beans. I also had a well tossed but weird Caesar salad. The tacos were just ok. The mahi wasn't very flavorful and the slaw was just shredded cabbage - not a slaw. The rice was pretty weird but the beans were good. The restaurant has a view of the ocean between the peninsula and the mainland. Our server Ali was very nice and did a good job.”
“Reservations are a must! Hosts weren’t the friendliest but our server was amazing. Food was fresh and delicious. You can tell the salmon is high quality and so fresh. Seriously some of the best salmon nigiri i’ve had. The lollipop rolls were interesting (no rice, low carb friendly) but I wouldn’t order them again. The salmon roll with touch of lemon on top was so good. And you can’t go wrong with the toro roll.”
“Had lunch here recently with a friend and had a great meal. The staff were amazingly friendly and provided a great recommendation to try the seafood chowder. One of the best chowders I’ve had and also really enjoyed their poke bowl. Located with a nice view of the harbor as well. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.”

“After shopping for a little bit I was looking for coffee and lunch. This place has outdoor seating and the best Thai salad and a huge portion. Go for the salad! I was debating between a sandwich or salad and got the fries with rosemary. The crunch on the fries hits home! Don't skip it!”
“Amazing Delicious Chinese food with affordable price. I had Lunch Special Almond Chicken and it was YUMMY. CHICKEN MEAT WAS SUPER SOFT TENDER. Nice clean and cozy restaurant located at the Balboa Island. Service was fast. Easy parking.”

“This is the go-to place for a gastronomic adventure. The food is astonishing. My favorite is the Big Baja Bucket. It's always a hit.The restaurant is a bit narrow and cramped. It's all paid parking. However, the service is great, and the staff are personable and friendly.”

R+D Kitchen
“booked a reservation on a busy night yet the service was still excellent! I asked for tartar sauce and spicy mayo and they delivered!! The french fries were so crispy, which I like. I ordered the chicken meatballs and spaghetti and it was delectable. My dad ordered the steak and asked for medium well but it was medium. However they had no problem of recooking the steak for him. Definitely bringing my family back!!Vegetarian options: They have a veggie burger”
“First time dining here and really enjoyed it, they have make your own pie pizza at your table which is fun for kids, the food and drinks are delicious, especially the ribeye. Service was great and love the ambiance !”
“I recently dined here with a large party for a celebration of life. The food and service were excellent (per usual for The Cannery), however, my aunt became ill inside the restaurant, which I'd like to make clear, had nothing to do with the food. It was a challenging situation, but Paige's quick thinking and genuine concern made all the difference. She came to our table within seconds with napkins and bags, ensuring my aunt's comfort and privacy. She remained calm and composed. It was almost like she had a sixth sense about the situation and was ready to jump in to help as soon as things took a turn. She went above and beyond to make sure my aunt was taken care of, even arranging for a quick exit through the employee-only elevator to the main level, allowing her to leave discreetly out the back.Paige's kindness, attentiveness, and professionalism made a challenging situation much easier to handle. Her dedication to guest satisfaction and her ability to handle unexpected situations with grace and efficiency are truly commendable. The Cannery is fortunate to have such a wonderful manager, and I highly recommend this restaurant not only for its fantastic food and ambiance but also for the exceptional service provided by Paige and her team. Thank you, Paige, for your outstanding hospitality.”

“Came here after walking out of Champagne’s and was just really happy to see printed menus for my 93 yo dad-in-law haha. While both places serve great food I find the staff here to be very friendly, happy to be working here, and more eager to help. It was definitely easier for my father in law to pick and order his food instead of being forced to stand in front of the counter and look up at the menu. Try the grains bowl - healthy and delicious with corn and sweet potatoes and a little bite back with the sauce.”
“Shrimp tacos with flour tortillas. All day, every day. So bomb. They cost 4.25 a piece, so a little pricey, but we ate it 3 out of 4 days. Order online to pick up. The lobes can get long, and the restaurant is small inside. Must get while in New Port!”

“Those who know, know. The RIBS here are absolutely next level. Brisket and sausage are solid as well. What surprised us are the sides and unique flavored pickles. Very nice blend of traditional styles with Korean influences and there is a lot of love in the execution at Rib Bro.”

“I managed to get the details of Nick, a brunette young guy, who is a chef there, I believed he was the executive chef the way he treated my son and I when we asked for anything. He made his birthday very special, making us laugh during a rather awkward dinner experience otherwise, the way he turned out experience around he needs to be promoted immediately to management as this was by far the best time we've ever come here out of dozens of dinners that were often cold and impersonal. Nick is seriously the best, thank you for saving our bad experience!”
“Went to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. They were incredible - had a birthday card for her on the beautiful table that we sat at, next to the fireplace. Food, service and atmosphere were exceptional. Can't wait to go back. Valet parking made it so easy on a cool and rainy night. Best!”
“Highly recommended! I was here on Thursday, April 4, everything was great from the beginning, staff was very welcoming and were always making sure we were ok. Manager Karen was also very wonderful she made sure we were ok. It was our first time here and Karen was very helpful giving us some recommendations, to which I’m glad she did. Food was delicious. Thank you and highly recommend this place we are very happy with our visit.”
“Beautiful view of harbor and Newport Peninsula!!Great fresh food!! The ceviche and tacos are fabulous. Chips with tajin seasoning and salsa are their own experience. Wonderful with the elote en vaso.Atmosphere very Newport Beach laid back, up beat and ”
“The Cobb salad was substantial. I probably shouldn’t have ordered the chicken noodle soup, but it was great. The waitstaff were spread thin despite the restaurant being half empty on a weekday lunch.”
“The happy hour deals were amazing. Three appetizers for twenty dollars and they were delicious! Our waitress disappeared halfway through our meal and we had to ask several people for assistance throughout our time here but the food and wine made it worth it!”
“Beautiful view of the harbor and lights across the way. Good sized portions and food was tasty but not over the top fantastic. $9 valet parking.Parking: It's a busy road. I didn't see any area for self parking. Valet cost $9 on Thursday evening.”
“Due to the strong winds, the patio/outdoor seating was closed so the inside was quite loud. It was nearly impossible to hold a conversation with my family. The service was good as was the food/drinks and the live musical duet was entertaining. I feel I was overcharged for a few items which I will be discussing with management but overall, it was a nice evening.”
“Pancakes were delicious and a good portion. Parking seems small but we were able to find a spot in the lot on a weekday morning. Service was cheerful and responsive. Ambiance was laid back and no fuss.”
“Dining at Pizzeria Mozzo, owned by Joe Bastianich of Master Chef fame, my girlfriend and I were enveloped in an atmosphere that marries New York City sophistication with a cozy, inviting vibe. The decor, featuring wine bottles and earth tones, sets a modern yet warm backdrop for an exceptional meal. Our culinary adventure began with a caprese salad, far from the ordinary with its handmade mozzarella—not your typical cut-up logs or balls—presenting a fresh twist that captivated our taste buds. The pizza, boasting buffalo mozzarella and the freshest of tomatoes atop the thinnest imaginable crust from a wood-fired oven, was simply out of this world. The apple pie with gelato dessert perfectly encapsulated the meal’s excellence, balancing the warm pie with cool, creamy gelato for a sublime finish.Pizzeria Mozzo stands out not just for its food but for its dedication to quality and innovation in every dish. With impeccable service rounding out our dining experience, it’s a gem that promises not just a meal, but a memorable culinary journey.Parking: On street parking is hard to find so you’re left with valet for $13”
“View: 5 star - Beautiful pool and gorgeous golf course with ocean on the horizon . Lovely spot! Food: Excellent Traditional Eggs Benedict & others chose outstanding Salmon Benedict. Yummy Reservation for 4: Disappointing. Made waaay in advance specifically for outside table. It was busy but not chaotic. Hostess said “nothing available for our time” except a booth inside ( which is almost always empty anyhow). We declined, so told to wait. We directed ourselves to the bar - Only 3 people sitting at the bar with 3 bartenders there, but no one even looked up. Not a Pelican Resort welcome or even brief nod. Odd. We waited quite awhile to be served and 20-25 minutes before our table ready. We LOVE Pelican Resort & restaurants and know this is the most casual. Such a beautiful space, but it's still Pelican Resort, so service at these touch points might need a little look-see as plenty of supervisors were there? Bottom Line: ... We had a DELICIOUS BRUNCH so the kitchen and table staff were on point !!!”
“The “cookies and cream” is phenomenal!! The baked cookies were soft, chewy, and crisp in all the best ways. Perfect family dessert night. Great bang for your buck.Kid-friendliness: Ice cream samples help everyone make great decisions.”
