Cafe Sakana is a true Gem in Orange County! Tucked away in the back of a sleek-fashionable plaza.. this Restaurant nails it on all levels! Service, Food and Atmosphere. I can't say enough about this Family owned Restaurant. The late owner Jay truly put his heart and soul into the Restaurant and the family carries out his Legacy! Cool hidden location on Westcliff Dr near my old business location was neat for me to see all the old stores I used to visit. Food was good prices are more than I prefer to pay but for the location being Newport Beach not to bad.
I was down visiting friends who turned me on to this amazing oasis of of all things good sushi. So sublime and delicately delicious. With combinations of flavors that just dazzle your senses. I mean salmon and...pesto?! Ah...yes! And a wagyu beef sashimi with truffle....taste buds will be blown away. It's not traditional although there are familiar offerings.
