“Here are the pros … beautiful architecture, good food (appreciate the option for vegan cheese which is tasty), good drinks, attentive service.… and the cons: very loud if you’re dining inside on the weekend, our round table was wobbly (quite unexpected when you’re paying a premium for your meal), valet parking ($8 not including tip) is required unless you have a lot of time and patience to search the beach streets for parking and are willing to hike a bit.“
“Was our first time dining at Red O. we had a great table in the section to the side of the main dining area. The main dining area is a little darker and a little louder, but definitely has a very hip vibe. Our area was more traditional. Had enchiladas, brussels sprouts. & skinny margaritas. The food was outstanding. Lots of servers, so very attentive. Also, no attitude anywhere which is much appreciated.“
“Went to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. They were incredible - had a birthday card for her on the beautiful table that we sat at, next to the fireplace. Food, service and atmosphere were exceptional. Can't wait to go back. Valet parking made it so easy on a cool and rainy night. Best!“
“Shrimp tacos with flour tortillas. All day, every day. So bomb. They cost 4.25 a piece, so a little pricey, but we ate it 3 out of 4 days. Order online to pick up. The lobes can get long, and the restaurant is small inside. Must get while in New Port!“
“Not sure if it's because it's newer or it was St.Pats day but they seemed understaffed. The food was good but came out lukewarm. Done sent back to reheat. Service took forever to get drinks... we would have ordered more drinks if service was quicker. Most everyone got only 1 drink and we cancelled the 2nd drink order because we had already finished food. We were a party of 10 and it was not busy at all so not sure what was going on. Overall I would try it again but not rushing back anytime soon.“
“The Baja Tacos are excellent and very favorable. The food is always good. However, if you are looking for good service this is not the place. The cashier has no customer service skills. He always seems to be angry. The restroom is always out of order. Which is not a big deal because there is public restrooms around the block. The food makes up for the other flaws.Bon appetit.“
“Ambiance: nice and clean, subtle, and family style design. Wasn't too busy but a nice atmosphere.Service: amazing service, quick and friendly. Had no complaints at all. Our server was knowledgeable about different tequilas and helpful with the decisions.Drinks: I just came for a few drinks and had a great time. Had a margarita and tequila on the side. Both were delicious!“
“I walked in and I was surprised to see how cheap all the food was (California standards) and I ordered the onion rings and the everyday special (Burger + Fries + Drink for 10.50) and they were pretty good. The food wasn’t master chef food but it was very comforting and fills you up for less, and there are plenty of items on the menu to choose from so a burger and fries were just a taste of what’s to come. The service was great, the owner was super nice and the chefs were wholesome and cool. The restaurant is small but the atmosphere screamed artistic so size didn’t really matter. This restaurant is located near the beach so I understand that its main intention was to give beach people more food for less and I like that. So if you want something to fill you up for less, come eat here!“
“I ordered the Shrimp tacos tostados, I was expecting crunchy tacos (because of the name) but they were soft tacos but they were delicious anyway. Shrimp was very flavorful and the rice with cilantro was good as well. They have self-serve chips and salsa, tasted fresh. Drank a Donkey Punch (1 was good enough to feel happier) Sat next to the walk way and the breeze felt good. friendly staff“
“We only spent 3 days in the area, but ate here 3 times! So fresh and delicious. Would love to have this back home. Nice portions and comfortable seating. Had to sit out on the porch area 1 day because it was busy. Nice, but sunny . I'd highly recommend if you're looking for some great food and awesome decor.“
“The restaurant is just across the beach, very well located with plenty of seating inside. The food wasn’t bad at all, I got the shrimp burrito.but I would eat there only because of the convenience of the location. Other than that I would rather eat at a different Mexican restaurant. The front receptionist won’t greed you or make you feel comfortable. I waited about 5 min before they helped me out.“
“Such a cool chill place and the yellowtail tacos were some of the best fish tacos I've ever had. Verde sauce was awesome as well, had a kick.Kid-friendliness: There were just 2 families there when we went and both sets of kids were running all over having fun. Chill vibe.“
“This is the go-to place for a gastronomic adventure. The food is astonishing. My favorite is the Big Baja Bucket. It's always a hit.The restaurant is a bit narrow and cramped. It's all paid parking. However, the service is great, and the staff are personable and friendly.“
“We actually ended up in Newport Beach last minute. We were visiting Los Angeles and we had not been to the ocean yet we actually were about to leave and drive to Las Vegas. Newport Beach itself is absolutely incredible and I wish we spent more time here I would have loved to stay overnight. While we were here we needed to eat so we obviously came to cabo cantina that is located right by the ocean. The place is awesome it reminds me of a Mexican bar. They had all you can eat tacos as it was Tuesday and the deal is just incredible I ate so many tacos I was so full when we left. The food was incredible we had a couple nice drinks the staff was so friendly the atmosphere is really party friendly.“
“Hungry after a long night, I didn't get a picture until I had already started at it. I was having some stomach issues and didn't want anything to heavy. I figured the avocado toast would be a safe option. It was yummy, the bread was a bit dry. Had tons of very fresh avocado, probably as thick as the bread itself. Wish it came with some seasoning but I made do with the table salt and pepper. I also had some sausage links, they were juicy and huge. Cooked well and had that satisfying snap to them. The staff members where super friendly and the restaurant itself seemed updated and modern, as well as clean which is sometimes a rare luxury on a beach. My sister and my mom got breakfast burritos, they both only ate half and had to save the rest for later but thoroughly enjoyed them! Just a really big portion size. It was pretty expensive though considering what we got.“
“I visited this EL Pollo Loco today and I was very happy with the experience. I received a warm hello and was thanked for my visit. Most importantly the chicken was delicious. It was juicy, moist, and very tasty. Service was also very fast, which is always appreciated. Kudos to all staff!“
“Excellent! The rice cooked perfectly, fresh Carnitas Tacos, hefty combination plates, great beer selections. Friendly staff We'll be coming back on our next trip. Free Parking: behind the the restaurant, turn Right on Finley Ave, turn Right on alley. Enjoy“
“Highly recommended! I was here on Thursday, April 4, everything was great from the beginning, staff was very welcoming and were always making sure we were ok. Manager Karen was also very wonderful she made sure we were ok. It was our first time here and Karen was very helpful giving us some recommendations, to which I’m glad she did. Food was delicious. Thank you and highly recommend this place we are very happy with our visit.“
“The food was delicious! I had chips and guacamole, then carne asada street tacos with a side of beans. They have gluten-free items clearly marked on the menu. The wait staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We brought our golden retriever. They treated her very well! Will definitely return again!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free“
“Love this place. I live in Beaumont. Always worth the drive. Top it off with a walk on the nearby beach and it's a perfect day. Great food. Polite servers. Love the soup. Nothing that I have eaten there has been a bad deal. Reasonable prices. Large servings.Parking: Can be hard during peak hours“
“This is the spot to get your Mexican food if you want the real deal, affordable, and fast. First time here at the Newport Beach spot and it was perfect! Portions that had me eating leftovers at home after eating some on Newport Beach! If you gonna complain about the day after I suggest you just get a lil fiber in you guero.“
“We recently visited Taco Rosa in Newport Beach and were blown away! Right from the start, the Cadillac Margarita prepared our palates for an incredible meal. The Queso Fundido, with its burst of flame and flavor, was a showstopper. But the real stars were the Chile Relleno Tacos and Tacos de Filete - each bite was a mix of traditional taste and modern flair, especially the melt-in-your-mouth brie on the Tacos de Filete. It's clear that Taco Rosa prides itself on using fresh ingredients to reinvent Mexican classics. The atmosphere was just as impressive, buzzing with energy and warmth. Whether you're with friends or family, Taco Rosa promises a fun and flavorful experience.Don't just take our word for it, head over to Taco Rosa and taste the magic for yourself. It's an experience you won't forget!“
“Beautiful view of harbor and Newport Peninsula!!Great fresh food!! The ceviche and tacos are fabulous. Chips with tajin seasoning and salsa are their own experience. Wonderful with the elote en vaso.Atmosphere very Newport Beach laid back, up beat and “
“The food I ordered was hot, fresh, and delicious. I ordered on an electric kiosk so there wasn't much human interaction (could be a good thing or bad thing depending on the person). The seating inside was casual with a nice view outside to the street. I would come here again.“
“Absolutely wonderful! It's always refreshing to visit a restaurant that is 100% vegan. It's even better when the ambiance and atmosphere is also wonderful. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is expansive. The service is great. If/when I move to the area, I'll be a regular here! Don't keep scrolling for a place to eat - this is it!“
