“A MUST TRY! Make sure to grab reservations! This restaurant makes it into my top 10, if not top 5 list of best restaurants I've visited. It wasn't any one thing, it was that EVERYTHING was fantastic. The service: the team at Fable & Spirit take the time to give their guests the best experience possible. The cocktails, and the food were all perfectly balanced in their flavors and excellently prepared-- what I loved most was that there were blends of flavors I hadn't experienced together before and they were delightful. I sat at the bar and Blake and his team took the best care of me.- Wood Fired Pizetta: delicious, I'd order again.- Short Ribs: delicious, but likely would not order again- Himachi (seasonal) Sashimi Plate: so fresh and amazing flavors, I'd always order their seasonal Sashimi.- Chasing Perfection Cocktail: Unique and delicious cocktail, would absolutely order again!!!- Callebraut Chocolate Budino: Shockingly delicious. This dessert was a show stopper and unlike any other dessert I've experienced. Would order again.I would love it if this team created a tasting menu experience!!!Fable & Spirit is perfect for date night ❤️.“
“Eddie V's is one of our favorite restaurants that we frequent throughout the year, drawn by their delectable cuisine and unparalleled service. Opting to celebrate our anniversary there on a Tuesday proved to be an excellent choice, as they surpassed our expectations, showering us with attention and care. This establishment holds a special place in our hearts due to the exceptional service provided by both the staff and management. The ambiance exudes positivity, complemented perfectly by the delicious food. Whenever we crave a perfectly tender filet, this is our go-to spot. The crab cakes never disappoint, and recently, we indulged in the exquisite lobster tacos. Despite our inclination to try multiple dishes, we rarely have room for dessert. However, on our anniversary, we were treated to a delightful surprise - the butter cake, both delicious and beautifully presented. It was the perfect ending to our meal. Thank you for crafting a truly memorable anniversary dinner experience. We wholeheartedly recommend Eddie V's for its exceptional food, service, and atmosphere!“
“Select led this place to Celebrate my birthday. Food was good and our server was very helpful and provided us with excellent service. The noise was a little too loud for my liking since is a small place and they crammed a bar in the front entrance of the restaurant. Tables are also too close together and we can hear others' conversations.“
“Authentic Italian ristorante and I loved this place. Very cozy atmosphere and the server was super friendly. He said that this place has been running over 30 years by the same owner's family. Food quality matters? You gotta go there. Size matters? You can leave your worries out the door. Don't skip Tiramisu. They make it from scratch and it is a Must to try.“
“Small family run business, but owner and staff are very friendly. Seafood is fresh and wild caught and prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. The dishes come hot and freshly prepared from the kitchen to your table. The seafood were all expertly prepared and cooked perfectly. I love the nice crisp on the salmon and snapper and their fresh grilled vegetables. The owner gave our birthday girl a complimentary bread pudding dessert.“
“A hidden gem in NB. Great vibe, excellent food and friendly staff. My fra diavolo was piping hot and really good portion, really wonderful! Mahi sandwich w/ scalloped potatoes was so good too, could be shared. Kinda like Brophy Bro's from Santa Barbara, only no need to drive to SB!! ;)“
“Here are the pros … beautiful architecture, good food (appreciate the option for vegan cheese which is tasty), good drinks, attentive service.… and the cons: very loud if you’re dining inside on the weekend, our round table was wobbly (quite unexpected when you’re paying a premium for your meal), valet parking ($8 not including tip) is required unless you have a lot of time and patience to search the beach streets for parking and are willing to hike a bit.“
“Celebrating Christmas Eve Brunch at the Mayor's was incredible. Not only did they have the largest selection of top-quality foods, but their service was fantastic! It was all you can eat, and it was hard to stop devouring plate after plate. They had really refreshing iced tea with rose water in it. I didn't expect to see an ice sculpture as their centerpiece. I hope to come back again soon, as it was quite the experience.Vegetarian options: A lot of great optionsKid-friendliness: They offered a reduced price for kids, and they loved the experience!“
“Every trip to Tommy Bahama in Newport Beach is a win. They've got this chill vibe that makes you feel welcome right away. What really got me last time was when I was feeling off, ordered soup, and they tossed in some bread and a note that hit the spot. It’s those small things that show they’re actually paying attention. The food's always good, straightforward without trying too hard. But it’s the little extras and the vibe that keep me coming back. If you're in Newport Beach, it's worth stopping by. They manage to make each visit feel like they're glad to see you, which is pretty rare.“
“Valentine’s Day at Sol Grill was nothing short of magical. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted with warmth and charm. The ambiance was perfect for a romantic evening, with dim lighting, and a cozy atmosphere that instantly set the mood.”The food and service was fantastic, with attentive staff who anticipated our every need without being intrusive.Overall, our experience surpassed all expectations. It was the perfect setting to celebrate love and indulge in outstanding cuisine. We left feeling not only satisfied but also deeply grateful for the memorable evening we shared. We can’t wait to return and create more beautiful memories at this charming gem.“
“We had no plans for an Italian lunch. Our mid-morning walk turned into delicious smells coming from Ciao Balboa. The food was sooooooo good. Right down to the buttery, garlic brine the shrimp were in. Our salads were beautiful. The bread was so good we paid extra to take a bunch home. The atmosphere was open and airy. Comfortable and cozy. Our server was super sweet. According at every turn.“
“We found this place on a whim after our wait at another sushi restaurant was over 1.5 hrs. We decided to do the omakase. It was the single best sushi experience I've had in my life. Not only was the selection given to us continuously amazing bite after bite, but the service was impeccable. We definitely found a new favorite spot. Treat yourself to a special evening here. They also have a non omakase option if that's not in your budget.“
“Dinner (biscuits, filet mignon) was delicious and the atmosphere was very convivial and relaxing. But the highlight of the evening was Amanda, who seems to genuinely care about her work and the people she encounters every day, and who made our evening with her contagious smile. Thank you Amanda! Hope you remember us when you see this.“
“Overall, this establishment has been a staple to Orange County. High quality fish, service, and atmosphere, so proud to see this place flourish.Poké is always fresh, with good portions, amongst other items that are always prepared with great ingredients include: poké burrito, sushi rolls, ceviche.Thank you for such a clean place and great vibes.“
“Very pleased to be seated in pleasant location, considering dining solo. Decor very nice (rooms of a comfortable proportion for comfortable and quiet atmosphere. Service attentive. Food flavorful and of good quantity. Everything to be expected in a "fine dining" experience!“
“Let’s make it simple: we travel from Las Vegas to Newport just for this restaurant. We first stumbled upon this place 4 years ago because it was the only restaurant open at 830 and it is an absolute gem.The food is out of this world and the service is exceptional. They even helped me propose two years at the restaurant and instantly recognized us when we went back this year.“
“Loved my brunch experience! Clarissa was our waitress and she was so nice and attentive! The brunch prices include bottomless champagne, but I called a few days early because I wasn’t going to drink and they told me I could order mocktails instead!“
“a charming members only yacht club over looking the newport beach bay with beautiful boats of all sizes to admire. staff is very friendly and go out of their way to make sure your visit is amazing. The time we visited the club was hosting an international french themed dinner menu which was very enjoyable. definitely recommend this club on their "open house" night to see if this is something you might enjoy along with their sailing and social opportunities offered. 5 stars“
“Beautiful view of the water. Best key lime pie I have ever had! My girls loved the flourl sstorte as well. The cauliflower steak was an amazing vegetarian option with a side of mushrooms.Vegetarian options: Cauliflower Steak was wonderful!“
“Bluewater Grill is the best place for seafood in Orange County. They have a great variety of fish and shellfish; the service is wonderful, and they have free corkage. My wife and I dine here 2 to 3 times a month and are neveer disappointed. We had two of our favorites. She had the baked Haddock with scalloped potatoes and asparagus only had them serve it with the Lemon Caper Burre Blanc which is a fantastic sauce over fish. I had the steamed clams and mussels, which I usually alternate with the Cioppino (which is the best) and the Chipotle blackened swordfish over dirty rice. Absolutely wonderful. The servers are some of the best. Friendly, helpful and since we eat here a lot, most will stop by and say hello. We love this restaurant.“
“Sounds delicious! Here's a review:"The Children Coop is a delightful restaurant bar offering a cozy ambiance and a diverse menu to satisfy any craving. Their Taco Tuesday specials are a highlight, with flavorful and generously portioned tacos that keep patrons coming back week after week. Whether you're in the mood for breakfast, appetizers, or a hearty meal, they have you covered with a variety of options to choose from. The service is attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience. If you're looking for a place to unwind with delicious food and drinks, The Children Coop is definitely worth a visit."“
“Overall beautiful place, however, some guests were rather loud and we didn't expect that level of vocality in such an establishment as it took from our experience. We were hoping for a more quiet atmosphere so we can enjoy each other's company, and we simply didn't get that.“
“Our new favorite restaurant! Two trusted foodie friends recommended this place, and it did not disappoint. Everything that we ordered was delicious. Drinks were incredible, too. Our server was so helpful, charming, and made the evening a lot of fun. Will absolutely go back. Highly recommend!“
“Finally got a chance to make it out to the reopened Crab Cooker in Newport Beach. This restaurant is a Newport Beach institution. I picked up a large clam chowder, breadsticks and a coke to take back to work. On rainy days I would park by the ocean and eat my chowder while listening to the rain come down, but this day I had some work to jump back onto. This is a place my dad used to take all of us to when we were kids. Now that my wife and I are splitting up and I am moving out of California I am really going to miss The Crab Cooker.“
“Myself and my spouse have been eating here for the last 6 or so years now. I can say the quality of the food, staff and overall restaurant is great! It's an intersection of locals, folks who are "in the know" and tourists it seems like, emphasis on locals. I generally don't think that is always the tried-and-true sign of a good eating establishment, but in this case it certainly rings true. Their portions are great, the quality and consistency of the food is great. It's a bit of a vestige of an older era of restaurants/bars that simply served good food, a vibrant bar, and a little bit of something for everyone. I think perhaps due to ownership, kitchen staff and waitstaff they've really been able to keep it at a very good quality while not having to reinvent themselves or update to modern "culinary experiences" that many of us are used to seeing today in newer establishments. It's really worth checking out- it's unpretentious, offers consistent, quality food and great service.“

“We were hungry, didn't know what we wanted, and stopped in here. I am so glad we did! Very good service and fantastic food. I loved the spiralized radish that the sashimi was served on. It provides a delicate crunch that compliments the fish. The Korean BBQ tasted great. We also had the Crazy Roll but I forgot to take a photo because I was distracted by the yumminess of everything.“
“Went here to eat for my cousin's birthday w/ a total party of 8. Was seated in the outdoor patio area with a nice view of the Newport Harbor. I ordered: Ahi Poke Nachos - 10/10 was very yummy and a bigger portion than what I expected which was a pleasant surprise. The sauce was sweet and savory which paired well with the ahi! Spent extra to get avocado w/ it and it was well worth it. I would order this again!! We were also given a free bday dessert! It was a slice of choco fudge cake w/ a scoop of vanilla icecream on top. It was pretty good & satisfied everyone's sweet tooth. Now food wasn't really the main star of the restaurant, it was really the 1000/10 star customer service from our server Alyssa! She was friendly and attentive from the second she guided us to our table!! It made our brunch/bday experience so special!! She made sure everyone in our party of 8 had all that we needed :) Also, she was kind enough to take pics for us after eating and they turned out so beautiful. She is the prime example of excellent customer service, I hope everyone that gets hired there is trained by her!! Thanks so much for making my cousin's bday so special~Definitely will be coming back here whenever we're in the area.“
“Had lunch here recently with a friend and had a great meal. The staff were amazingly friendly and provided a great recommendation to try the seafood chowder. One of the best chowders I’ve had and also really enjoyed their poke bowl. Located with a nice view of the harbor as well. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.“
“I greatly enjoyed coming down and having breakfast daily during my stay.I elected to do the buffet which is $30 a day if you’re non-Globalist.Now for a wide variety of different options, depending on the day. Consistently there is eggs, bacon, pork sausage, chicken, sausage, fruit, bread, bagels, and many items.“
“I had the mahi tacos which costed about $24 for two tacos with rice pilaf and black beans. I also had a well tossed but weird Caesar salad. The tacos were just ok. The mahi wasn't very flavorful and the slaw was just shredded cabbage - not a slaw. The rice was pretty weird but the beans were good. The restaurant has a view of the ocean between the peninsula and the mainland. Our server Ali was very nice and did a good job.“
“We were at the side for Valentines Day, we've been customers for years more than 20 as a matter of fact, so when my lovely wife commented about are meal she was attacked by other patrons, we are not spoiled children we are 60 yrs.old. her meal was fantastic salmon and mashed potatoes, I ordered the sirloin,I have eaten thousands of steaks, it was boot leather did not eat it or take it home, we love this place, the coconut shrimp appetizer was dreadful, cold over cooked and tough, ok bad night we will still come we love you guys but for a 240$ tab I thought the people of your place would appreciate the feedback. Those of you attacking my wife grow up. See you soon.R G“
“Such a beautiful place to have lunch! I went here for my birthday, and had the most stunning views of the harbor. The food was great, and I enjoyed their hot tea (it was chilly over looking the water). There is parking available in the shared lot- which makes coming here easier as parking can be challenging.“
“Wonderful view and we had great service. We've always enjoyed coming here. The food was very good. We had the lobster bisque and the clam chowder. Both were good. We shared the Caesar salad, which was crisp and tasty, and we shared the chicken creamy pesto pasta that was very satisfying, our server was very attentive, and the food was presented promptly, considering the location and the quality of food and the ambience of the restaurant. We felt that we got very good value for our dollar spent.“
“This is the go-to place for a gastronomic adventure. The food is astonishing. My favorite is the Big Baja Bucket. It's always a hit.The restaurant is a bit narrow and cramped. It's all paid parking. However, the service is great, and the staff are personable and friendly.“
“I recently dined here with a large party for a celebration of life. The food and service were excellent (per usual for The Cannery), however, my aunt became ill inside the restaurant, which I'd like to make clear, had nothing to do with the food. It was a challenging situation, but Paige's quick thinking and genuine concern made all the difference. She came to our table within seconds with napkins and bags, ensuring my aunt's comfort and privacy. She remained calm and composed. It was almost like she had a sixth sense about the situation and was ready to jump in to help as soon as things took a turn. She went above and beyond to make sure my aunt was taken care of, even arranging for a quick exit through the employee-only elevator to the main level, allowing her to leave discreetly out the back.Paige's kindness, attentiveness, and professionalism made a challenging situation much easier to handle. Her dedication to guest satisfaction and her ability to handle unexpected situations with grace and efficiency are truly commendable. The Cannery is fortunate to have such a wonderful manager, and I highly recommend this restaurant not only for its fantastic food and ambiance but also for the exceptional service provided by Paige and her team. Thank you, Paige, for your outstanding hospitality.“
“First class service, excellent food. Great atmosphere with live music. We enjoyed every moment we were there. The staff is super friendly and extremely professional. I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends and colleagues. Travis and Michael are the best waiters around 5 star plus to them both!!!!!“
“Went to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. They were incredible - had a birthday card for her on the beautiful table that we sat at, next to the fireplace. Food, service and atmosphere were exceptional. Can't wait to go back. Valet parking made it so easy on a cool and rainy night. Best!“
“Five Crowns is the more bougie version of your average Lawry's across the nation. According to the server, the reason for its namesake is because this is the 5th store to open from Lawry's. Parking is across the street and you pay $8 for valet. Service could be a bit slow and you are notified that your prime rib will take 25mins to come out. Unlike Lawry's, Five Crowns does not push out the prime rib cutting cart and your food is brought to you already cut. Another difference lies in that you do not get a salad for your prime rib meal but that's not a huge concern imo. Everything tasted good, however just a bit under "salted" but you are given Lawry's signature salt and pepper on your table for your use. Imo Five Crowns is not worth a visit unless you really enjoy the decor around the restaurant. Your average Lawry's is much better imo.“
“Was our first time dining at Red O. we had a great table in the section to the side of the main dining area. The main dining area is a little darker and a little louder, but definitely has a very hip vibe. Our area was more traditional. Had enchiladas, brussels sprouts. & skinny margaritas. The food was outstanding. Lots of servers, so very attentive. Also, no attitude anywhere which is much appreciated.“
“Due to the strong winds, the patio/outdoor seating was closed so the inside was quite loud. It was nearly impossible to hold a conversation with my family. The service was good as was the food/drinks and the live musical duet was entertaining. I feel I was overcharged for a few items which I will be discussing with management but overall, it was a nice evening.“
“Thanksgiving dinner was good. Two complaints: 1. It should have come with cranberry sauce 2. It should have come with a dessert. $20.00 extra dollars for a Viennese table, on top of $50.00 for the dinner of just Soup or Salad and Turkey, is ridiculous. Add some cookies or a slice of pie and call it a day. For those who want to over indulge, you can add a Viennese table, but that's extravagant. It should be a 3 course meal, like every other local restaurant.“
“There are only 14 tables, but the staff were wonderful. The prices demand it but you will get attentive service. And the ambience is spectacular. You get to sit by a dock with water right next to you. It is a very romantic place. They don’t have any loud music which is great. Their wine list is extensive. And with the corkage being $75 may as well try their wines. The cuisine is French, which I love. The scallops were perfect. I did not like the gravy as much as it tasted overly sweet. The pork loin was only OK because it could be more tender and it was a little dry. The brioche bread pudding is good though I make it better. I loved the mushroom soup.“
