One of the worst restaurants in terms of customer service I’ve ever seen. I waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged in a non-busy time period (1 person in front of me). After I mentioned my name for pickup, they proceeded to actually make the order….DoorDash said it was ready. Now, the food. Very bland. Having lived in the south for a decade this was extremely disappointing. The brisket was terrible. The sauce absolutely dreadful. LA is pretty bad at BBQ in general but this takes the cake.Overall, don’t go.

The best BBQ in the San Fernando Valley. D-E-Licious. Ordered a BBQ rib plate with 2 sides; mac & cheese and greens. Hot, tasty and I ate everything. Excellent prices too, makes a great lunch spot. The staff is friendly and helpful when picking what to eat. Say it loud, the Bottom Southern Kitchen is Black and Proud!

REVIEW TIME:I have travel every inch of Southern California in search of Soul Food that can satify the country boy in me.After 4 years I have found it.The thickness and texture of the grits are perfect. The Smoked Chicken is SMOKY GOODNESS.I bit 1 rib threw is down, because I felt they almost stole my recipe. HA! Pick that rib up & ENJOYED!THERE ARE ANGELS ON THEIR WAY TO DELIVER GREAT BLESSINGS UPON THIS FAMILY OWNER BUSINESS. I PROFESS THIS.THIS IS AUTHENTIC SOUL FOOD DESERVING OF 5 STARS.

Placed an order for delivery. When the order eventually showed up, it was missing one of the main components. I called and the person who took my call said they were out and that it would be deducted from the total. It would have been appreciated if someone could have called to let me know that they were out and if there was something else I would like in its place. Best part is I didn't see the amount deducted from the total charged. Lesson learned. This place has potential, but I won't be returning.

I loved the buttermilk pie, I can't find it anywhere else in LA. This wonderful homey place has got it. Brisket is a little over priced though.

First time and last time. Quite disappointed. I can't even explain the brisket, it was gray looking and had a weird after taste.... the greens are not good or seasoned well, I think they were actually kale. The Mac n Cheese was watery, like undercooked Kraft but not even as thick. I've seen pictures of the Mac n Cheese online, but it was like a bait and switch. The red beans had no rice, the ribs were better than the brisket, but still lacked flavor. The best tasting item in the order was the banana pudding and it was still very cool whippy. Unfortunately, the peach cobbler I ordered never made it in my bag, although I paid $5.00. Instead, some type of gingerbread/spice cake. I was really excited about trying this place, since there's not that many soul food spots or black owned food establishments in the Valley... I really wanted to ride for ya'll, but the whole menu, and whoever is cooking...ain't it. Like a previous reviewer said, ya'll need to redo the complete MENU and do a relaunch. Because I was seriously HOT about my food being inedible! I felt I needed to go to Hogly Wogly for bomb brisket to feel better. I'm still feeling some type away about wasting $72 on food I couldn't eat. Let me stop.

I will have to come back here to try their meats but today I had the Mac n cheese, lemonade, and buttermilk pie for dessert. They are located on Lankershim and Vineland and have some great deals. This place is a pick up hub, there's no seating area. The food is prepared fresh upon order and comes out quickly. You could always schedule for delivery through Grub Hub My ratings Macaroni: 10/10 I am pick with mac n cheese but this one was yummy and had me wanting more after every bite Lemonade: 9/10 it wasn't to sweet which I loved and I had the right amount of sourness Buttermilk Pie: 8/10 you can taste all of the ingredients such as the lemon zest which I liked. I wanted it a little more creamy Parking: metered parking for up to 2 hours

The staff and customer service here is amazing, they're very friendly and inviting. Unfortunately the barbecue is just okay there's nothing great about it.

Prices are wrong on the menu, portions that were meant to feed "4-5 people " per the cashier could only feed 1 person if that. wasted 40$+ on trash. Never again.

Their shrimp and grits are heaven! I'm shocked their cornbread muffins were DRY and crumbled apart at the slightest tough. Are cornbread muffins supposed to crumble and not stay in tact?

Amazing customer service from the crew that were in the front today! Very patient with me since it was my first time here!! Will be back !!! The shrimp combo is fire paired with the Arnold Palmer.

I wanted to like this place. The cashiers were very friendly. I picked up an order with my coworker. I get to my desk, taste the chicken and it's not that flavorful but great crispy outside. I continue to eat and then I noticed the red meat. The chicken thigh was not cooked thoroughly. The other thigh was even more pink. Threw both away. The jalapeño cornbread was dry and no flavor. The fried shrimp was very good. The comeback sauce was blah. Not bad but not much flavor. The sweet tea was delicious. My coworker got the brisket and it looked weird, grey and pink. No flavor and inedible. Chewy and fatty. I don't think I will come back.

Giving them 2 stars the extra star is because the woman who refunded me the next morning was nice. Here are some tips because I really hope you guys can change your ENTIRE menu and do a relaunch of your restaurant with lunch and dinner hours 11-9p. Listed below are the items I ordered and my honest opinion. - the small vs family size is such a drastic difference lol y'all need medium as well. -Mac and Cheese: dry, not cheesy. Gave me Kraft vibes but Kraft is more cheesier. More like dry Macaroni salad. -Brisket: didn't even take a bite it looked Inedible. My boyfriend and I were LITERALLY scared to try it. It was grey with red on the sides. Honestly I'm pretty upset the cook even thought that was cool to let out the kitchen what an insult. -shrimp & Grits: also was not good but ate it because we were hungry And the rest of our $80 dollar meal was either going to give us food poisoning or we couldn't get past the taste. Shrimp was cold , the sauce had potential tho. Red beans & Rice: tasted like water!!!!!! And we ordered the family size, I dug my spoon deeeeeep in the bowl and I could not find any rice at all! It was all beans with tasteless sausage. -Greens: they were coo we didn't return those. Could have more pork taste tho. -now the lemonade was FIRE if the parking wasn't so tricky I would come back just for that! And I want to try the sweet tea, read some reviews that said it was good. This place is in the HEART of NOHO. Prime location with sub par food. And the restaurant could make so much more money of they expanded their store hours.
