The food quality went down. Last time I was there was soo much better. The worst is the service. It took so long to get served. It's like we were invincible in that restaurant. For subpar food , I will not be

I've been hearing about Chiba from my brother for years, and now I understand why it's his go-to spot for sushi. Freshness is paramount when it comes to sushi, and Chiba delivers on every level. The sushi rolls were bursting with flavor, and each piece of nigiri was perfect. It's clear that the chefs at Chiba take immense pride in their craft, and it truly shines through in every dish. Their attention to detail and the commitment to providing a wonderful sushi dining experience. In my humble opinion, Chiba easily ranks among the top 5 sushi spots in the entire Los Angeles area. If you're looking for fresh, delicious sushi served with a side of exceptional service, look no further than Chiba. Trust me wheh I say you won't be disappointed.

This is hands down my new favorite sushi place. I will never be going back to Katsuya. Joe is quite an extraordinary chef. I used to frequent a sushi restaurant he used to work at, but it wasn't the same after he left. I'm so grateful that I was able to find him here after a good hunt. Highly recommend!!!Vegetarian options: You can ask for whatever you want that doesn't contain any meat. Like cucumber rolls, avocado rolls, egg rolls, or just miso and an order of sticky rice.

Very confused! My last/first visit was great, this was a top sushi spot for me, but after today's visit, I will not be returning. There are much better sushi spots in La and there's nothing I hate more in a food and beverage establishment than inconsistency. Their prices are fair, but the quality of everything today was not ok. Only thing we were happy with was the hot sake, my fiancé preferred simple edamame over everything we ordered. Just to be clear this is not the worst place, just not good enough.

So delicious ! First of all, the restaurant can accommodate a large group which is great and they even have an outside patio. The staff is friendly and quick. The sushi pieces are so good. Simple but packed with flavor. Here are things to order: amberjack sushi, bluefin tuna with yuzu sushi, negitoro roll, #7 roll, car wash roll, crispy rice spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail and spicy tuna cut roll, and spicy scallop hand roll. Sushi came out fast for a busy Friday night!

Chiba is without a doubt the best sushi restaurant in town. The fish is so fresh and I always ask for Tomo to prepare my sushi as he is truly a master sushi chef. I won't go anywhere else. Thank you for your amazing culinary skill or rather Domo Arigato

Chiba has been my go to sushi spot for the last 15+ years. I love it here. The food is always above par. I will always keep coming back. Sushi selection is simple, while also boasting other japanese cuisine as well. I've gotten the dinner combinations before which are the best option for getting a little bit of everything for a good price point. My must gets at Chiba. Spicy Tuna Handroll. Nobody does it like Chiba. Creamy, spicy and loaded. They add in masago which brings everything together. Excellent. Negitoro cut roll. Always amazing. Perfect amount of green onion with the minced toro. Pro tip get it with Takuan which is a root and adds a bit of a crunch. Albacore sushi is legendary. Perfect amount of garlic, ginger and sauce. Scrumptious everytime. Crunchy Shrimp handroll on soy paper. While this is more of a not traditional handroll this is just fatboy tasty. Its creamy, crunchy and loaded with texture and taste. Items I normally get Spicy Tune Okoge. Which is spicy tuna on crispy rice. Bomb. Yellowtail belly. Favorite sushi of all time. Excellent here. Shishito pepper appetizers. Spicy and light. I love it when they grill them well done. Bluefin tuna sushi. I get it with yuzu pepper paste. Bomb. Baked scallop hand roll. Creamy and velvetty. Made with the large scallops and not the bay scallops. Little bit of mayo which makes the scallop come out more. Amberjack sushi. Light and flavorful. Lobster handroll baked, spicy add crunchy on soy paper. If im feeling it ill get this. Cause this is heavenly. Its pretty pricey but worth it. Keep it up Shig and Tomo. Ill see you soon.

Last night was one of the best sushi outing so far. Both the food quality- especially the portion, and service were above and beyond. Everyone was very attentive and caring. I also love the fact that the sushi bar table was wheelchair level and I have no issues moving in or out the restaurant. Since last year I was met with a sushi spot in West Hollywood that was booked for anniversary and was horribly turned down on the day of arrival because my wheelchair couldn't fit inside. After all that trauma I went through, I'm so happy my aunt recommended me this spot. I'd like to thank you on behalf of wheelchair users, for making your place so accommodating and worry free.

For you sushi peeps, this place is legendary. In a crazy industrial area of Northern North Hollywood, in what looks like an unassuming building is a garden of delight for any sushi lover. We've heard of this place from at least 4 other friends & had to give it a try for Valentine's Day 2024 & it did not disappoint. For lunch, the place was jammed, reservations always suggested. I loved the pork tonkatsu, tender, crunchy & just super. Now, here's Zeee, for her comments on the sushi:........ Started with the yellow tail sushi, nice portion very fresh & tasty. Never had the soft shell crab cooked this way. The legs were separated & crispy tempura cooked layered on top of the body, both crispy & succulent. The spicy tuna hand roll had to be my highlight. Delicious flavor exceptional texture- very large, so much tuna. yum-alicious. Ended with my favorite dessert..lol, freshwater eel. unctuous, soft, sweet..... the perfect ending. (but ate too much.) For those sushi pros, you know excellent sushi comes at a price, so realize the portions are quite good for the money & the quality is tops!!
