We always stop by for a glazed twist and chocolate donut after having lunch nearby. Much enjoy their offerings!

My husband usually drives a distance to get good donuts. This one was highly regarded on yelp, so we decided to try it. At the time we went, the parking lot was empty and had an older look. Looks can be deceiving. We scored because we got great donuts and no wait. I don't believe I would have tried this place on my own. I'm glad the reviews were accurate.

(Snacked 03/12/23 SU @ 10:00am): A golden donut is a sight for sore eyes! As I always attempted to search for an unfamiliar donut shop to me whenever I may be, I came across Golden Donuts after I met with a painter at a nearby family property. I thought I'd exhausted the donut shops within a given radius of our North Hollywood property, but apparently I was wrong. How I missed this location was beyond me, but now I knew. Would this be a golden opportunity to add another donut haven to my ever-growing apple fritter list!? PURCHASE THE "APPLE FRITTER IS TAKING OVER THE WORLD TOUR" CONTINUED... Apple Fritter ($1.50): Not that I was an apple fritter snob - eff it...yes I was! - but there was a certain way I liked mine. 1st, the price was vastly better than comparable to the going rate (this fritters was actually less than $2.00!). 2nd, it was round shaped, the thickness and density was lighter than what I liked (it was more airy and fluffy), and more the size of my hand rather than my face (an ode to the great Goldstar Donuts in Van Nuys). 3rd, there was a noticeable amount of apple bits. 4th, the overall light brown color was fine with no burnt ends (I loved it burnt), and the medium glaze was just enough and didn't make for a messy cracking effect. There were many crunchy odd crannies, corners, and nooks which I liked to break off into small little morsels. 5th, it was still warm with hints of oil pockets but minimal gooey apple juices that leaked into your mouth and dripped down your throat. Overall, it had very good value - 4.0 STARS. "Dozen" Glazed Donut Holes ($1.50): Purely an impulse buy because the person in front of me ordered this, they smelled nice, freshly made, and he also received a generous serving, so I wanted in on the deal (I felt he go more than I did)! Anyway, I consumed these lovely puffy pieces as-is while I drove around town on errands the next day. Glazed Buttermilk Bar ($1.25): A short and stout heavy-glazed creamy bar of goodness I had for dessert the following night, twenty-five seconds in the microwave softened it up as it easily fell apart while it slightly burned my mouth. Maple Bar ($1.25): A long wide sweet somewhat airy bar I had a couple days later, it was still good but definitely tasted its age. Rainbow Sprinkles Chocolate Frosting Cake Donut ($1.00): A sweet treat that always put a smile on my face, I enjoyed this or breakfast the next morning still fresh, thick, and sugary goodness. SERVICE Kindly greeted by a friendly older woman, she casually took my order probably because I was the only customer at this time, I grabbed a seat to rest my bum, and relaxingly ate my apple fritter. All was good and calming - thank you! PARKING (FREE) They had a medium-sized private lot for the sole business on this odd slanted corner. Otherwise, there were plenty of spots along the main drag of Sherman Way - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A roomy shop with one main donut display case and I believe an ice cream case, a legible menu/price board behind the counter up on the wall, several tables and chairs to enjoy your food onsite, and little to no decorations. Plenty of natural lighting came through the large glass windows and door while soul-sucking fluorescent electric ceiling lights covered the rest. There weren't any TVs nor background music. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Golden Donuts was a wonderful find and would definitely return. Everything tasted wonderful, the prices were better than comparable (they were cheaper!), and the service was quick and easy. They also sold coffee/drinks/juices/tea, sandwiches, various snacks, and more! Plus, it was always a pleasure to support a mom & pop small business. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $6.50 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they were a CASH ONLY (automatic 1-star loss) establishment and didn't accept any credit cards, especially mine of choic

My favorite local place to stop at. Their food is amazing and reasonably priced. They even give me extra doughnuts all the time! Only thing is it's cash only, but you can get more than enough food for under $10.

They serve the best donuts here. I came here as a kid with my family but then we moved to WY and still make a trip to this shop when I visit

Although good, frankly, there's nothing really exceptional or all that special about the options here at Golden Dohnuts. On the other hand, I do enjoy supporting small businesses that conspicuously appreciate their customers, because, unfortunately, way too many do the opposite these days. I also like that I can count on friendly vibes here, and it's always super-cool to see an additional dohnut, or two, included with my order. ??

We got nice big croissants, tasty flaky pineapple cream cheese pastry and sweet maple bar. Yum!

Golden always has the freshest, best tasting donuts! Whenever we have people over, this is our go-to for donuts.

We visited this place for the first time on a weekday afternoon. The donuts are huge, much larger than other donut places. We got five different types of donuts. Every single one was fresh, moist, and soft.
