Food poisoning. This place needs to be shut down by health department. Food safety concerns seen as condiments and fresh salsa at unsafe food safety temperatures. Condiments looked old and wilted. Meat provided was definitely reheated across many days that it reached its unsafe to eat point. All five customers I was with got severe good poising. This is not right if customers are outright paying for food, appropriate food must be provided. Don't eat here.

Horrible customer service, the girl taking our order didn’t even want to talk to us. The food was terrible. The meat was all dry like if it had been cooked a day or so before.

First time, good price and very good tacos. Had carne asada, alpastor, buche and carnitas. Support small businesses that have a location!!!

The food is great but definitely not the place you want to be at night.

I've tried Suadero tacos from multiple places in Los Angeles and San Diego and Taqueria La Chispita is my #1 favorite! So damn good!

Don't be put off by the ramshackle facade and the downright dark and depressing interior, the food here is really good! The carnitas are delicious, the asada has a nice char, and their salsas are good as well. There's "avo-salsa", a green sauce that's got an OK bite to it, and an orange one I'm guessing is made with habaneros but is actually edible. The tacos are "street" style on two small corn-y tortillas; 3 of them make a nice lunch order. The service is friendly and it'd help if you speak Spanish but don't let this keep you from coming. Oh, and one more thing: Yelp! seems to indicate they open at 9:30 but I suspect these days if you show up before 11am you'll find everything locked up. Another weird thing: they don't post prices, not sure if that's legal, but... Give them a try if you're in the area.

First time here and was really impressed by the al pastor. Got suadero, too, which was a little bit dry. But you really can't beat the value -- big portions and $1.50 a taco! Really tasty sauces, too. That red sauce....!

One of my favorite taco joints in the valley. I always order the same thing, carne asada and al pastor tacos with cheese on top so can't speak on their other menu items but make sure you try the red and green salsa. I would say 4 tacos is a good amount for the average person. Not a huge fan of the avocado salsa but it does add some heat when used in conjunction with the other salsas. Compared to some of the other street tacos in the area this one is not only the best but definitely the cleanest. I've watched some of the guys from the street taco place around the corner on Victory piss on the street and not wash their hands while preparing food. Disgusting.
