“I guess I have a new favorite Thai place in town. the staff and provider I work for talked about how good this place is and I wanted to give it a try. I love it! food could be a little bit more spicy but it is so good. It does not feel heavy or anything. Just tasty and amazing. I had their lunch special yellow curry and it was really good. great portion and tasty food. will definitely return here.”

“Looks a lot nicer without the salsa bar. Food is great, there are only two Mexican style restaurants in oak view and this one is superior food-wise.I’m a little disappointed there is not a specific “burrito bowl” or similar on the menu. Portion sizes are large and quality of the food is high. I work nearby so it’s nice to have a good eatery in my satellite.Bathroom is always clean when I’ve used it.Parking: Parking lot leaves a little to be desired as it’s regularly full of vehicles without patrons being in the store, locals likely use it to park their cars.”

“We visit Casa de Lago a few times per year when we're heading to Lake Casitas. It's always a welcomed treat! They have the BEST Cadillac Margaritas, great salsa, food is good, and servers are friendly. It's a small restaurant, often very busy, so you can't be in a hurry; but it's worth it!Parking: Parking is limited. There is a small lot.”

“We had a peaceful breakfast of delicious (tasted real) omelette, eggs, bacon, really good potatoes, pancakes and a biscuit (that was the only thing that could have been fresher),very competent and friendly server. Simple classic diner, very enjoyable, we will go back.”

“Walked into this place the other day and was amazed. A man by the name of Nick behind the counter helped me out and thank goodness for him. There was so many different options I didn't know where to start so I'm glad he was there guiding me and helping me pick out a couple entrees and sides for my Sunday roast. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient and kind . The food ended up being as good as the service ! I would definitely recommend coming here . The tri tip was incredible, the chicken tenders n curly fries delicious. The macaroni salad was bomb and I can't wait to work up an appetite so I can come again .”

“This place alone is worth the drive from LA to Ojai.A gorgeous eatery in the middle of downtown Ojai, The Dutchess welcomes you with open arms to its beautifully lit and meticulously decorated atmosphere. THE FOOD (I'm just going to jump to it) IS INCREDIBLE. The naan was to die for; the mussels were divine; The Pork Belly noodles had to have been my favorite... I mean, the glaze was impeccable; can't go wrong with the curry; but the Goat Masala IS A MUST. Oh- and don't pass up on dessert. The Lime Pie was incredible, but you HAVE to get the Brulee Pie and the Sticky Rice Donuts. You'll thank me later.”

“Absolutely wonderful. Everything was fresh and delicious. Nothing was too sweet.The lovely lady at the counter happily walked me through the day’s selection. She said it changed every day. Everything looked incredible, it was hard to choose. We ended up with a raspberry and chocolate twist, a pineapple strudel, a croissant breakfast sandwich, a mocha and a cold brew.The twist and the strudel were perfectly fruity, flaky and soft. The sandwich was freshly made with ham, eggs and cheese. The pistachio croissant was heavenly. Perfectly crusty and flaky, a light pistachio pastry cream in the center, covered in crushed pistachios and sugar, without being overly sweet.Cannot wait to come back and try more.”

“This cafe is a gem for breakfast or brunch enthusiasts. The terrace is perfect for soaking up sunny days. Their food is delicious, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. Despite weekend lines, service is efficient, ensuring a pleasant experience. Highly recommended!”

“When I went it was during a very busy time and there was only two people running the shop. But I have to say the food hair was pretty terrific. If you're looking for a reasonably priced flavor packed meal, I would stop here. I don't think you could really go wrong with any of the meals here to be honest. Chutney was flavorful, the Masala Dolsa was crispy but with some fluff and packed with onions (which was a lovely surprise) and it honestly made me regret not ordering two plates.”

If you’re reading this and you’re still wondering if you should come by and try this place then you’re wasting your time and should just come by already. Before I eat all of their empanadas myself.”

“This place knows their bread! Everything has a bit of an interesting twist but in a positive and exciting way. The pizzas are delicious especially the Pinyon. The Challah is one of the best challahs I have purchased. If you go on a weekend evening, reservations are definitely recommended.”

“Pete's Breakfast House is a classic breakfast and lunch restaurant. It offers delicious, fresh food made with high-quality ingredients. There is a wide variety of food on the menu, including American breakfast and Mexican food. Sandwiches and pancakes are also available. We came to this restaurant by recommendation from my husband's parents. We noticed that our favorite TV food show Guy Fieri's photo was hanging on the wall. I liked the pancake roll the best and I highly recommend it.”

“Excellent staff, excellent food, and excellent ambiance. Really can't go wrong with this spot. They gave us great recommendations for our first visit to Ojai and to this restaurant. We got the chips with guacamole and salsa, peach iced tea, huarache, and the tamale. Everything was great portion size and the food tasted so fresh and filling. We also got the peanut butter and oatmeal cookies, both were good but a very coconut taste (which I'm not a fan of but if you are then these are your cookies!!). Definitely would return on my next visit to Ojai.”

“Loved everything except the Trout. It didn't agree with me for some reason. But our server was excellent- truly, she was excellent. The service from each server was perfect. The ambiance was wonderful. It did get a little loud at times, but I don't mind that. The only thing not perfect was the trout, and that could just be a me problem. Overall just wonderful!! Highly recommend.”

“We loved this place. When we arrived, it was very crowded and no dining room seating. There were two seats at the breakfast bar so we sat there and I'm glad we did. This place has some of best breakfast around, and don't forget the cinnamon roll, and house-made preserves. Parking is not very convenient as it is a very small parking lot and a very small restaurant. You may have to wait a little But I guarantee you it is worth it.”
