The Diggery Inn is great. I love this breakfast and lunch spot. I have been coming here for 18 years. I always get one of their hearty scramble plates when I come for breakfast. They have great burgers here too. The meals are all good sized portions. There is indoor and outdoor seating. It’s a family owned restaurant with Paula on the grill and Nary out front waiting on customers. They are great people and very friendly. I Highly recommend the Diggery Inn.

Not closed as of 16.1.24. nice American style diner with solid offerings. Good pancakes, very tasty omelette and biscuit. Only downside was no gravy available.Attentarive service. Kept my wallet when I lost it. So no complaints here.

Solid neighborhood place, with all of your favorite brunch options done well, plus warm staff. We walzed right in at 10am on a Saturday and got a table for six with zero wait. I had the pastrami sandwich, which was quite juicy even with sauce on the side. Bathroom is pretty snug, but quite clean.

Small place that's been a neighborhood staple for decades. Omelettes are generously sized and priced well for what you get.

Def your classic Glenview neighborhood breakfast and lunch joint! The owners are always so super authentic and friendly. They make sure you have everything you need. They address you by your first name and which I think is a game changer. If I ever ran a cafe, this is how I’d want to follow suit!

How to spend $30 for weekday breakfast: order the pancake combo, with two eggs, two bacon, nice large mug of coffee ($3.35, steep), then smile and agree to the rapid upsell of fresh fruit plate ($4, so-so freshness on the apples), then sit in disbelief at the outrageous bill and also understand why the servers are so cheery this overcast morning. Coffee was very good, even if the creamer dispenser quite forceful tosses out too much cream. Eggs were tasty and soft, which is hard to do, but there was no seasoning. I did not mind the side of Tapatio but would have preferred the Cholula. Cakes were fine, if a tiny bit synthetic tasting.Next time this will be the order: two eggs with bacon, with home fries, coffee, and instead of the large biscuits I saw, ask for two warm tortillas. Make two breakfast burritos with the fillings and not feel as if I spent way too much. Also, I have been here forever and I did not even know this place existed.

If I could give 10 stars I would, for this friendly local restaurant that provides delicious food. We traveled from Portland Oregon and are staying the weekend in a local AirBNB and happened upon this place because they were close and served breakfast. We returned the next morning because the food is good (especially enjoyed the huevos rancheros with a side of fresh fruit salad), and the staff is especially alert to details (for example a wobbly table that was fixed before we sat down). We learned that this is a family owned restaurant (where everyone who works there is related in some way) and they’ve been running the restaurant for over 25 years. This is truly a find.

Excellent service. Outdoor seating option. Tasty breakfast potatoes, nice fruit bowl. Skip the housemade biscuits - not good.

I've had the sheer pleasure of being a patron of the Diggery Inn at 4212 Park Blvd in Oakland for a memorable span of over 16 years. It's astounding to declare, but in all that time, I've never had a meal that was anything less than perfect. The magic of the Diggery Inn's food is truly in the details. The Inn's commitment to freshness is evident - from the fruit cut right in front of you to the baked fresh biscuits daily. Something incredibly satisfying about the crunch of a freshly cut apple or the warmth of a just-baked biscuit enhances the dining experience to an altogether different level.Their culinary creations blend innovation with a comforting familiarity, representing the perfect equilibrium the Inn has masterfully achieved. This stalwart of the Oakland food scene never ceases to surprise and delight, journeying through the avenues of taste and coming back with something exciting each time. However, it is not just the food that makes Diggery Inn so special, but the phenomenal staff. The ladies at the Inn are nothing short of extraordinary. Their genuine hospitality and caring service add a whole new layer of warmth to the experience. Over time, we've moved from being just staff and customers to resembling something more like a family.Coming to Diggery Inn feels less like dining out and more like returning home. The inviting ambiance, the stellar food, and the unparalleled service provided by a team that genuinely cares about your experience make each visit an absolute joy.Over the past 16 years, the Diggery Inn has become more than a restaurant to me. It's a cherished part of my community, a fond extension of my family, and a consistent source of culinary joy. The Diggery Inn is a beacon of genuine warmth and authenticity in a world that can often feel rushed and impersonal. So, here's a toast to the Diggery Inn - for setting the bar high, fostering this wonderful community, and always shining in the hospitality domain. I eagerly look forward to many more years of shared laughter, phenomenal meals, and enriching experiences with you. Long may you continue to serve, inspire, and delight.Highly recommended! An authentic 5-star experience!

Good menu options for breakfast. There were only a handful of people there. The server came right over we ordered drinks. Then she and another server came over several times asking if we were ready to order. "What's the rush?" I ordered Eggs Benedict. She then started to ask for my daughter's order without asking me my choices. My dtr ordered waffles and bacon. Food came out very quickly. We could hear a microwave and asked if the bacon was microwaved she said no but it sure looked like it. Fruit was an option instead of home fries very fresh. There are so many places to try so won't be rushing back. Considering how fast it was served my Benedict wasn't very hot. Can't say much about the ambiance except it seemed clean which is important
