Hasta Muerte quickly became my favorite coffee shop in the East Bay! I live near Emeryville but come all the way here whenever I can because it’s worth it. It’s an *actual* gathering spot with a cozy vibe, vs the generic “airy” looking (and feeling) spots all over the place with intentionally limited or no seating. This is a neighborhood gem! Everything is good in here! I loooove the root yourself brevages they have… it’s like a mix of syrup tea milks idk it’s soooo good, their coffee is bomb as well! Service always 10/10 and the food is really good! I enjoy their pastries so much! And they have a machine to take picsKid-friendliness: It’s my kids favorite coffee shop!

Lots of cool atmosphere, friendly, efficient staff, excellent coffee. Lots of regulars. Relatively quiet for relaxing privacy, intimate conversation, writing a thesis, and conducting your business.
