First of all the food is amazing and very comforting. Probably some of the best food I have had in Oakland in a really long time. Please try this place out! You won't regret it!
A good example of "never judge a book by its cover" ...the restaurant is in the back of a mall that, on a Sunday night, was shut down and empty. Just a few tables - we were the only customers eating in. However, given the quality of the food, there should have been a line backing up the street! Everything was delicious! My favorite was the chana masala. The fried peanuts are like nothing I've had before, in a great way (but not date food since it's loaded with raw onions and garlic ?). People are really nice and it's now my go-to spot when I'm in the area. I can't wait to try more of the menu!
