Enchiladas were missing sauce. This is beyond unacceptable.Not one apology.Then they took forever bringing sauce.I will certainly never return, and I'll be sure to discourage my neighbors from patronizing this establishment.

One of my favorite places to dine in. Great service and food. I recommend the nachos with any meat.
If you like sloppy, watery burritos, this is the place. They didn't put any rice in my burrito (IMO a critical component, otherwise it's just a rolled up taco), and they made sure to scoop in extra bean water, so when you bite into it it is all watery. You're supposed to have rice to absorb the juice!+1 star because they grilled the tortilla instead of just steaming it. But otherwise the burrito was poorly constructed and disappointing

Cashier was a bit rude but the server was very nice. She brought out 3 different salsas and welcomed me. The cashier didn't even offer a beverage and I forgot to order one so I ate my burrito which was (very good btw) dry. I had to get a drink somewhere else!! I wasn't going to ring up a drink separately on a card!!

I ordered two steak quesadillas with the veggies on the side.. but they gave me the veggies inside, and the meat on the side ?? paid around $36 bucks for it.. honestly, it felt pretty expense just for two plain quesadillas ? and the veggies were just tomato and onion ?

You'd be hard pressed to find a restaurant, truck or taqueria that matches the flavor at La Calaca....and I don't think there is a better executed Burrito in the East Bay.
You can't get a better burrito in Oakland unless you go down to International. The carnitas is my favorite but they are all good.

The burritos were terrible. The carne asada meat tasted like boiled stew meat with no flavor. They used more lettuce than anything else. The chips were stale. The salsa was like orange juice and water with some pepper in it. The guacamole was old and discolored. It obviously was not fresh. I don't know how this place is in business or who's eating here but it was gross. I will not go back.
