Cool place. Good drinks and beer selection. TVs for games, but without the sports bar feel.Glad Google asked me to update this review. Because my only criticism was that they covered the patio. But now, the patio cover is actually a super nice RETRACTABLE cover. No notes. Lol
Perfect place for a happy hour, which was how I came to discover Mad Oak. Seems a little off the beaten path of places in Oakland, but very well worth it. Will go back again soon to sample more beers and have their delicious fries.

A nice little drinking establishment. Bar food is pretty standard fare, but pretty good. The bartenders are friendly, and the drink selection is pretty good. The patio is a great space to socialize.
