We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Mockingbird. We shared the burrata appetizer and it was delightful. I had the mussels for my main - the flavors were unexpected, perfect, and the spice level was just right. We shared the bread pudding, strawberry shortcake, and guittard chocolate budino for dessert and they were special in their own way. Don't sleep on the cocktails, they're a must try. I made a reservation for two for lunch. I ordered the meatballs and my friend ordered the lasagna. The food was phenomenal! So tasty, great service and wonderful play list playing in the background made the ambiance very cool. I highly recommend you book your table!
What a great neighborhood gem. We were visiting from LA - and our friend who is an artist in Oakland recommended this restaurant. We walked there from our hotel and was warmly greeted by the Host. The restaurant was buzzing with a mix of families, friends, and business people. There is a full bar but it is a more pleasant vibe rather than too loud and trendy or too stuffy.
