I've been coming to this original Peet's store for 35 years...and it doesn't disappoint.

The Piedmont location is great for having a quick drink with a friend, or a stop when you're running errands on College Ave. It has a cozy vibe and the layout is smaller than other locations, because of this I'm not sure it would be great to do work or studying in. I've seen it busy on early weekends but never too crowded and they've never lagged on drinks. The service reliably good here. The location isn't ideal when it comes to parking but it's close to all the shops. I like getting an oat chai latte with cinnamon on top!

Try the matcha latte ( iced ) with oat milk, 2 pumps cream, 2 pumps brown sugar. Same thing with pumpkin latte if you want to try that as well

Man alive! This place has changed over time! I don't want to date myself. I've noticed that they have a high turn over rate with employees to the point where they have staffing issues in the late afternoons and evenings. They use to put out a sign that they were closing early, but now they are just closed with no sign. I don't want to ding the people working there because working there and dealing with that much smug can't be easy. This place seems to be at the crossroads of employee pay and shareholder profit. Kind of a bummer, more of a bummer that their corporate office is down 41st Street into Park Street. The capitalistic coffee grind goes on!Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options available.Parking: Parking lot behind Cesar's across the street.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome here.Wheelchair accessibility: This place is wheelchair accessible, including the sidewalk and entrance.

Just received a caffinated latte that tasted like milk, so I went back and asked for a new one as a decaf, hoping it would be better. I received another even more milky latte. For this location, this is a first. Maybe the expresso machine is broken? ?

Peet's is by far and away the best major chain coffee you can get. Why would you ever do Starbucks when there's a Peet's?

Heather J Cook

Nation wide, locally owned coffee chain. Rivals Starbucks in size, set up, options and feel. They are on every corner in this area and serve a decent cup of coffee.Wheelchair accessibility: Pretty tight set up with chairs, tables, etc and gets crowded could be difficult to navigate in a wheelchair.

Came here to get a quick coffee, and while nobody was in line when I arrived, I ended up waiting about ten minutes and getting my drinks at the same time as the most recent customer who showed up and left at the same time as me.

Little bit of a wait during busy time of day, but not terrible. Friendly, Helpful service.

Crowded. A few people were impatient and I don't like to see the staff subjected to that. There's a line. Wait your turn, like the rest of us.

I am fully committed to Peet's. Very loyal. This Peet's was dirty. Wrappers, napkins, drops of coffee on counter. Half-n-half was empty. Clerk-in-training was left alone - took person about 5 tries to enter my request for beans and a splash of coffee. Despite saying I just need a "splash" just to warm me up, I got a full cup and wasted 2/3 of it. Employees could be more Professional all around. Seems like a lot of shouting from registers to bean counter and back.
