Excellent Peruvian food with quality fresh ingredients. The presentation of each dish is a delight. Service is wonderful and it's always a treat to see Kevin and Carlos & crew. They are passionate about their food and take such pride in creating a top dining experience for their guests. A hidden gem in Rockridge. It's always a treat to dine at Pucquio.

Fantastic as always. We just about ate the menu. We were 3 & had 1 cebeciche, 1 potatoes & sausage, 1 lomo Saltaldo with an egg & Carlos's version of squid ink paella. We ate outside, wonderful!!

Carlos runs the finest restaurant in Oakland. It's that simply. The staff is amazing, the food wonderful, and we repeatedly visit as it's always a great evening! HIGHLY recommended.

Amazing. Just amazing. We ordered the ceviche de pescado, chicharrón, pulpo a la parilla, and the lomo saltado and I recommend every single one of them. The white sangria (had peaches and maracuya) tasted great. The place only had one waiter though. You have to be really patient but at the end the food was just so good, it was impossible to feel frustrated by the wait times.

We went for the Valentines Day multi-course special. Definitely pricy but worth it. Excellent food. Excellent service. Lovely, warm, well-lit atmosphere.

I reserved a table here weeks ago for Valentines day. They call me the night before that there won't be a regular menu and the only option is an $150 per-person five course meal. Nowhere on their website or on OpenTable did they mention this. I cannot afford that, so thanks for ruining our Valentines dinner plans.

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant for the first time. It exceeded all expectations. From the moment we entered, we were greeted warmly. The food was not only beautifully presented but also bursting with amazing flavors. Our server added to the experience with his vibrant energy and charming personality, making our dining experience even more fun! I'm already looking forward to returning with more friends! Whether you're dining alone or with a group, this place is the perfect spot to enjoy a variety of dishes. Another perk, you can walk to a handful of bars after dinner if that's what you fancy. Also note, while the restaurant is on the smaller side, I would say it would comfortably accommodate groups of 6-8 ensuring an intimate and cozy dining experience.

Every course was outstanding! So fresh and delicious! The staff was warm and friendly. It's a very small restaurant with clear view of the kitchen - it felt like we were guests in a home. We can't wait to go back!

All the dishes were great...interesting, different and presented beautifully. It is a small, intimate room so I would have appreciated a lower volume of music, even though the music was tasteful.

The Cebiche with rock fish was very tasty. It was spicier than some would like, but I thought it was great. The Arroz con Maricosos, "Our take on the classic Peruvian style Paella: gulf prawn, squid and daily fish with parmigiano, squid ink and Peruvian corn" was excellent. For desert, we had the BOMBITAS DE CARRETILLA, which was similiar to beignets, but not as tasty as them to me. The server was fantastic. We had 4 cars. Some of us found parking spaces 2 blocks away, and others found parking spaces on College Avenue very close to the restaurant. One of our cars close to the restaurant had a window broken right before we got back to the car. We tried chasing the vandal, but did not catch him.

Share a few plates of Pucquio's reliably delicious spin on Peruvian street food. I've been there 7 or 8 times and it's easily the best dinner in Oakland for me. Easy parking on College Ave. Boisterous atmosphere fit for families or dates. Cozy and served by a quite charming and knowledgeable staff including the owner and head server who remember me every time. Without a doubt, go!

I can't wait to go there again. This place is intimate, lively, and flavorful. Each dish that met our table was above and beyond, the star being the Lomo Saltado. The plantains, Adobo de Chancho, and Aji de Gallina we lovely additions. The staff was kind, doting, and hard working. I'm looking forward to trying the whole menu!Parking: Street parking is available. Depending on the time of day it's free or paid.

Yesterday members of my family and I had a dinner at Pucquio for seven people. When scheduling this event Pucquio provided a set menu as well as a birthday cake for my husband. All of us could not believe how wonderful and excellent the food and accommodations were. It was truly a wonderful experience. We've often traveled to Lima Peru which is a truly an outstanding culinary experience; and I have to say this was comparable. A special note for the cake as the cake was absolutely unbelievable!! The food, service and entire experience was truly memorable- Thank you Pucquio!! Your truly a gem!!
