Don't have the money or time to go to a Pub in Belgium? Drop by the Trappist in Oakland and you'll be surprised to see a pub that feels like you are in Belgium. It is housed in a beautiful old Victorian. Stopped in for lunch based on the Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint. Schnitzel sandwich was big and delicious. The beer on tap isn't a huge list but the hef beer was great. Nice outdoor seating made for a great afternoon.

Had drinks here on a Saturday evening-awesome experience! Indoor seating at the bar or at tables and benches inside-also there's a back patio that looked great. We sat at one of little counters by the window. Sign outside requires masks when you walk in/while ordering-which was cool! Hand sanitizers were available near every table as well. We ordered to of the gin based drinks on their menu-can't remember the name-but they were excellent-sort of a violet-purple color-very interesting...read full review
