Yes place is small and ambiance may not be over the top... pretty basic and very small. But, Food is the star here! Plus the staff who all look like family members interact with customers by first name! So lots of regulars! Aromatic chicken and war wonton soup were recommended and were spot on delicious! Would def recommend if looking for great food but with very casual experience! Amd prices were very reasonable, portions were generous as well.“

“First of all very friendly staff, Service was top-notch, Food was hot and tasty. I forgot to take a photo. However we had the string bean and chicken, The lomein noodles, The orange peel chicken. It was all very good so much food I got to take some home and I'll have it for lunch later. I highly recommend this place it used to be called the fortune cookie and it's really a step up from that.“

“I have been a long time customer since the original owners. This Hong Kong Express has always had delicious food, generous portions and excellent prices.The new owners have done a wonderful job in keeping the restaurant food and prices as perfect as the first owners. They are always friendly and they remember their customers.They have a lot of customers but there is never a long wait.Be aware they are closed on the weekends. But the husband and wife who own it totally deserve their time off. They've worked 6 days a week for at least 10 hours a day for many years.Love this place, give it a try.“

“Current weather is somewhat gloomy, which prompted us to look for a nice hot soup. We came here with zero expectations. Seems kindly of slow, but the gentlemen who assisted us was nice and quick. Our soups, P1 and P2 were nice and hot. The soup seems radiant and colorful. The broth tasted before adding additional flavor was pleasant. We will definitely be coming back and definitely recommend this place for anyone who is trying to warm up their bellies!“
“So thrilled to have found this hidden gem. We ordered that chicken miso soup and the chicken breast udon noodles and both were delicious this season and prepared perfectly. We also ordered pan, fried pork dumplings, and sweet red bean pancakes, both of which are a must-have when you visit. The two staff managing that day were friendly and helpful as well. All in all, this was a perfect meal at a great price!“
“I’ve been coming on Sundays for weeks, and this place delivers!!! They make jokes that at Chinese restaurants there is one guy in the back kitchen that knows how to make an entire menu of 200 dishes and this guy knows how to make all 200 WELL. If you come on Sunday, Vincent provides the best service and you will see him running around with 6 Hot Dishes in his hands, shoulders and even his head if he needs too.Thank you Vincent and team, I will be coming here every Sunday like it’s my new church“
