Ten years ago I was diagnosed with a severe dairy allergy. So, most desert options are off the table for me. It was rather life changing. Now, when I was young my favorite pie was without doubt, Lemon Meringue. Well, no more of that for me! But then I found Shampa’s and asked if they could do a dairy-free version. Mad local! Peach pie had a buttery, flaky crust filled with perfectly cooked peaches; not soggy or soft. The filling was slightly bland- it might have needed more spices, lemon juice, or sugar. But I had it cold, so it's hard to say.I also had a brown butter cookie, which had a crisp, browned exterior with a gooey, chewy interior. Had wanted to visit this place since reading about Haruwn Wesley, the owner, passing away in a surfing accident. There is a large photo of him visible from outside the store. Bought 3 mini pies- key lime, sweet potato, strawberry rhubarb cobbler- all were delicious. Service was attentive and friendly. Wished I lived closer so I could support them more often...! Highly recommend.
