We had just flown into Palm Springs so were looking for a light dinner close to our condo. The Cantina had pretty good food although we were fortunate to catch happy hour prices. Even then, a small street taco was $5. It’ll probably take me a while to get used to CA prices again although being part of the Saguaro hotel likely didn’t help. Not sure we’ll go back but it was an overall good experience.
We have dinned in Palm Springs many times through the years and had the opportunity to go back while at Indian Wells Tennis.We discovered El Jefe Desert Cantina!A superb lunch of Short Rib Tacos, Chicken Tinga Quesadilla (the best quesadilla I’ve ever had), Jefe Burgers!El Jefe Cantina was superb!!

We ate here on my birthday and the food and service was amazing. Everything we ordered was delicious. The ceviche and nachos were great. Margaritas were spot on. Great atmosphere as well.
