“Atmosphere is what this area has going for it. The coffee was pretty decent. But I haven't eaten there yet so I really don't know. But the small container of baklava was $14. Which in my opinion is a little steep for five pieces of baklava.Parking: There's always a spot available but sometimes this is the bikers and runners parking spot so they end up taking a lot spots even though they're not necessarily patrons.Kid-friendliness: I would say it's very kid friendly.”
“Overall it’s a good place to eat. There’s not a lot of options in this area if anything this is the only fast food place. I usually get the 2 pizza combo with fries and a drink. The pizza is really thick so if you like thin crust this won’t be it for you, but the pizza is pretty good. The Service is ok, I work in this area and I usually come here for food. All though the sign says No Public restrooms they will let the local kids use the restroom but not if your a worker in the area. I asked to use the bathroom and they said no. 5 min later a local kid asks to use the bathroom and they let him use it. I didn’t like that part. Either then that I give it 4 stars. The chocolate cake was ok nothing specials”
“Our group enjoyed the xquiche Lorraine, California omelet, and a basic egg, bacon, and bread combo. I think the quiche was the best of the entrees. There was lots of flavor, the crust was flaky, and the dressing on the side of greens was very good. It was a generous size, too.My mocha was nice and got and served promptly. We arrived at about 9:30 and beat the rush of about 7 groups that came in right after us. The restaurant was busy on Thursday!”
“Incredibly delicious sushi. The freshest of the fresh seafood each and every time. Each roll and dish made with love and dedication in offering an amazing meal. Jason and Antonio are the best!!! Me and my family are fans forever!! Thank you Black Bamboo”
“I've been coming here for a few years now and have always loved their food and service. A very lovely cafe in PV, with great food and fantastic coffee. We went there for lunch and ordered their chicken salad, pulled pork and steak sandwiches, all superb! Did I say great service? Will definitely go back again.”
“We are coming here for brunch from out of town you do need a reservation to eat here but overall great service nice music I would recommend the Hong Kong French toast and the milk bread the food came out relatively fast by the way I’m 11.”
“Amazing breakfast burritos. The combination of hash browns, eggs, onions and chorizo or sausage is perfect. The flavor couldn’t be better. The salsas that come with the burrito are spicy so go light or have your burrito + sauces with a glass of milk.”
“Great food - selection of oysters, Cajun shrimp boil, mussels, seafood rice - all amazing! Staff went out of their way to accommodate us during a brief rain shower. Excellent service!”
“You will not find better service than when you enter Borjstar. Honestly, they treat you like a star. They are attentive and incredibly kind, friendly, and accommodating. The food is just as great. Very flavorful and leaves you wanting more! They also have a yogurt/ice cream dispenser so you can treat yourself before/after your meal. Put Borjstar on your list of restaurants to visit in the Gardena/South Bay area. You won't regret it!”
“Okay nothing this good should be in Redondo Beach but it is? Shame on all of the other pretenders. It’s just that superb. Chef Jen scales the culinary heights of Parnassus with ease and grace. A superb experience! You have to slow down and adjust to the tempo of the space and service. You have no better place to go! Trust me!”
“Ordered: Poke Bowl 2 poke combo. Choice of two sides: green beans and macaroni salad chosen Wasabi and soy condiments. Friendly service, fresh ingredients. Simple dining room, outdoor seating available. Hawaiian music inside for ”
“This food was amazing, totally worth the hype. Tourist here, no connection to the staff, want that to be clear for the next comment: that they do what they do here, especially the bar staff, is a freaking miracle. Two bartenders running hard, no barback. A bit ridiculous and clearly if the skilled and committed bartenders leave, they'd be up a creek. It doesn't take a professional to see they are holding a tight line here. This place is hot. Get these folks some help.”
“It’s a worthy dive bar with a frigging delicious hamburger. We went for the atmosphere having walked by on our vacation to Manhattan Beach and had to go back. If you love an authentic old bar and are happy with a great cheeseburger and chips and can overlook a sticky table and a bit scary bathroom situation, this is your spot. A breath of fresh air from our usual bougie eating in South Bay. Did I mention the burger was delicious??”
“ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!!! One I was able to schedule a large party of fifteen 3 days prior, where I wasn’t able to elewhere. Others restaurants required someone to call me back, a contract etc. Sasual took my large party not once but twice that week. You really kept me out of a bind where I was hosting a group of executives from Boston and New York. The service and food was out of this world. I moved to California 6 years ago and this was hands down THE BEST Mexican food I’ve eaten since I’ve lived here. Our servers were so accommodating and fast, I don’t know how you did it with such a large party. It was so good we came back a second night the same week. You are now my favorite so I will be back with the wife and I will recommend to every person who asked me. I get a lot of people who ask, where should they go to eat and this will be my #1 recommendation. Thank you Sausal.”
“Angela is an amazing host. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. The place is warm and full of life and the food is amazing. Probably the best Thai you can find anywhere within 50 miles! The homemade cilantro hot sauce should be bottled and sold. I would drink that by itself.Parking: Big lot nearby.”
“Every single bite was delicious. Great service with well thought sequences of dishes. Interior was clean and woody. Reminds me of traditional sushi restaurant in Japan. Dishes and glassware were cute and were hand picked by chef's wife. Must try!”
“This poke’s fish texture was more jelly when bit ( might be marinated in a special Hawaiian way) compared to Japanese/Asian style poke for your reference. Just not the best texture to me, personally. I am in general more used to having non-Hawaiian style poke.Side dishes are in generous size, though the Edamame tasted a bit cold, hard, raw, and unflavored to me. I wish could have it warm with light sparkled salt on top instead.Appreciate the friendly people who work in store. They are kind to give wasabi and soy sauce pods for extra flavor if asked.”
“This gets 5 for view ambience and service. This time was at the bar. Usually, I get a table where the views can't be beat. Food is always quite pricey and nothing special, but the staff will treat you well and you will enjoy the floor to ceiling views over the pier. Tita served us well at the bar, and she and Jason made great drinks. I also got the crab cakes this time, which I thought were one of the deals on the menu. Again, nothing delectable there--more Cajun style than Chesapeake or CA, fyi.”
“Our waiter was friendly and fantastic. The venue itself is very cool. But cool in temperature too. The whole front of the place is open with no wall and we had to keep our jackets on the whole time. The food was very tasty and we loved the trio of guacamole. The filet tacos were too smokey flavored. We finished with the flan and it was amazing. Big enough to share!”
“Decent atmosphere, kinda dark and fairly loud. Food was over all good. The meatballs were good, but nothing crazy. The ricotta wip was a good addition to them and the bread was good and crispy. The mushrooms lasagna was absolutely over powered by the balsamic and wayyyy too sweet. The egg pizza was delicious from the dough to the toppings. The desserts however were best described by my friend as grocery store desserts. Tiramisu was ok, missing half a layer... Strawberry shortcake a hard pass. Neither worth it imo.”
“Been stopping by Tommy & Atticus since they opened in July. The country, round sour dough is our family favorite. We've tried morning sun citrus pastry (my fav), jalapeno/cheddar sour dough bread, lunch pizza & sandwiches. Great place, great customer service.”
“A special experience that you pick the food materials yourself, watch cooks fry it on a big flat platform. Taste is ok. You can't blame it as all the materials picked by yourself ?.”
“BEST FOOD ever!!! My husband met the owner he has an amazing personality and very informative and helpful with ordering we have been eating here so much and feel really healthier ”
“Had to wait 30 minutes for a 7:00 reservation. They made up for it with an appetizer and kept us informed. Wait staff is very helpful navigating the menu. Food was plentiful and yummy!Parking: Plenty of street metered parking. No valet”
“The food is so flavorful and the service was exceptional. There is outside seating if you choose not to be inside. Our server Danny did an amazing job, our food came fast and he always checked on us. Overall I give service and food 10 stars. Will definitely be coming back to try different menu items.”
“Absolutely amazing in every way! I don’t care where else you go for a steak or how much you spend, you won’t find a better ribeye. Swordfish, pizza, Carbonara pasta and bread pudding all were excellent!”
“A vegan friend recommended going here and it did not disappoint. The brussels sprouts weren’t great, but I got the San Gennaro pizza and it was seriously one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had, vegan or not. Nice atmosphere and I’ll definitely come back for this pizza.”
“Good upscale “fast food”. The manager, Sandro was attentive, even though this is a fast food restaurant. Unique vegetarian options as well as unique takes on traditional dishes. Atmosphere is better than a fast food restaurant.”
“We have eaten at Salsa Verde several times. The food and service were excellent each time. Sit in a window table for wonderful sunset views!Parking: There’s plenty of free parking both in front and also on the street behind the restaurant.”
