“Fun local friendly spot for an easy, casual Mexican dinner for two in Pollock Pines. Delicious chili relleno was the star of our meal. Wine margarita was huge! Our service was helpful and friendly.”
“Good food option in a small town. Some creative options, can be a bit of a wait. Not worth the freeway stop if you are in a hurry, nice place if you are also going to check out the bowling alley mini golf and arcade down the ”
“Best burger we've had since moving to California. The cheesecake shake is ridiculously good. The stuffed burgers are definitely the way to go. Service was perfect. Food was great. Prices were fair. We'll be back.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free bun option is always nice to see.Parking: Love the patio seating and general vibeKid-friendliness: Looks to be very kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp present”
“Had dinner there tonight - the first time we've been there since it was remodeled. I think it was closed for well more than a year. The food was great and the service was outstanding. It is primarily a steakhouse, but has a good selection of seafood and pasta as well. The bar looks really nice, too. I only gave it four stars for atmosphere because the open fireplace (which is a very cool thing in winter) was giving off some smoke. We will definitely go back now that we have tried it.”
“Great standard American breakfast place. Hasn’t been remodeled since like 1974 which adds to the ambiance;) not bad tea selection either. The waitress is cute too ;)Parking: Easy to park”
“This is a divey dive bar that is a lot better than I thought it would be. Eclectic and fun personalities abound. It is off the beaten path and may surprise you. Big place too!”
“Stopped here while traveling. We ordered two pizzas and both were very good. Everyone in our group was pleased. Would eat here again if in the area. We also had a pitcher of beer for our group with good service all around.”
“We were visiting Pollock Pines and went into subway two different nights. The place is clean and roomy ,very nice. The people working there were very courteous and made great sandwiches. I will definitely will be going back.”
“It's you average run of the mill Starbucks. It's nothing to write home about. But the workers tend to be nice, and prompt. It's in a grocery store so it's easy to get to when your inside shopping.Kid-friendliness: It's a grocery storeParking: It's a grocery storeWheelchair accessibility: It's in a grocery store”
“We use their coupons about once a month & usually order the Chicken Bacon Artichoke and the All Meat. The Chicken Garlic is also very good. After paying online, we just pop in to the shop & our pizzas are always ready for pick-up, on time. Never a bad experience.”
“The food here is absolutely amazing!!!!! I had lemon thyme risotto with Scallops, my husband the Salmon. We had calamari for appetizer, and banana foster for dessert. Everything was cooked perfectly. The scallops were so tender and fresh. The ambience was nice, and I thought the drink selection was great. They do have kids menus if you want to bring your kids. It's probably the best food we have had in a while. Service was spot on. I highly recommend going here. It is a gem in the middle of nowhere, lol.”
“Stop here after a round of golf, and I must say the pepperoni pizza was absolutely the bomb. The crust was just the way I like it, not too crispy and not too chewy! The amount of sauce, and the flavor was perfect!. This was by far one of the best pizzas I've had from this area in a long time. outstanding pie and I highly recommend it. Craig Pizza.!”
“Great place to stop for lunch and a brew (or soda). They also now serve breakfast! Pulled pork was good, lots of tasty fries. Portions were generous. Food is Hawaii themed. I will visit again. If you are exploring Apple Hill / Camino, it is awesome.”
“Gorgeous setting with indoor and outdoor seating options. Exceptional service and experience. Tried 6 different wines and thought the taste was good but not quite our favorite. Overall fun place to walk to from High Hill Ranch.”
“Awesome family run shop. The food is awesome. They have choices for every taste.Definitely worth the five minute drive to get the best sushi in the area.Kid-friendliness: Roomy tables with space for a high chair”
“Literally the BEST Chinese food in El Dorado county. I had general chicken and it was out of this world. Everything was extremely fresh. When we walked in the staff was snapping peas at a table, very authentic food and excellent service. It's definitely called Wonderful Chinese food for a reason!”
“One of, if not our favorite winery in El Dorado Hills! Great atmosphere, welcoming owners, and amazing wine! Love the Bubbly ? and Pommie among others. Grab the Late Harvest Vionier if you like those sweet wines. ? ?”
“Visitng town and family recommended The Forester for dinner. From them, I found out the history of the Past and Present of the restaurant. The old location, the new and still shifting into full gear in some parts. Noting they are getting the flow going, sometimes felt a little hectic, but there were so many redeeming points. My favorite was having a small conversation with Helen after dinner. Bill she mentioned you as well! I had the Jagersnitzel w Kraut and Dumpling w Gravy. If you've experienced true German food before. You can appreciate this food greatly. The dumpling was spectacular, the pork was juicy while breading was soaking in the greatness from the mushroom gravy. We only visit a couple times of year and will make this a staple. Bill & Helen, keep on doing what youre doing. Its hard to run a business, let alone make one feel like home with good food."Showing love from Southern California ?"”
“Very cute, good atmosphere, nice outdoor seating. Very friendly staff, super tasty food. There are also to go options, charcuterie, dips, etc and a good variety of drinks. Definitely ”
“I LOVE this place! Though it may seem small, it makes up for that tenfold in heart. The person working the bakery window was so kind, and the slices of fresh pie were heated up for us, so how could we say no to a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top?! I enjoyed the berry and apple slice, and I also bought a frozen pie of the same variety to take home. Their selection of goods in the shop and frozen items is terrific!”
“I went here with a friend. I'm not a wine person. She wanted to do a wine tasting. The grounds are stunning! The staff was kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. My friend let me sniff the wines, and encouraged me to take a tiny sip. She said "maybe your palate changed."I liked 3 out of the 6 that I tried! I liked them so much that I signed up for a membership. This may not seem like a big deal to you, but I've always *wanted* to like wine, and this is the first wine that I've ever enjoyed! It's a big deal for me.My friend said "welcome to 40."TLDR: I highly recommend!”

Apple Hill growers have been producing hard cider for generations, and now many farms are offering unique brews that showcase the traditions of the farming, families in the community. “Stopped to get a bite to eat after visiting the farms in the area, plenty of different beer options the Blonde was good. Nice outside seating, good view, good food we got garlic fries and chicken tenders both good. Pizza was alright”
“Everything is pretty nice! They have flushable restrooms, a huge parking lot, all the apples you can possibly eat on a lifetime, friendly folks etc. But the real star is the amazing caramel apple shake. I will admit I am generally terrified of calories, so I stay away from shakes. HOWEVER, I will down that shake in 5 minutes without a single care. It's just perfect. I look forward to spending more time here soon!”
“What a fun place!Stop by in your car, on your dirt bike, on your road bike, in your Jeep.It doesn't matter. Just stop by.Have a beer or soda and support a long standing institution. We camped there for a weekend and it was wonderful. The porta potties were extremely clean and they even set up a solar shower for our entire group.”
