“Had dinner there tonight - the first time we've been there since it was remodeled. I think it was closed for well more than a year. The food was great and the service was outstanding. It is primarily a steakhouse, but has a good selection of seafood and pasta as well. The bar looks really nice, too. I only gave it four stars for atmosphere because the open fireplace (which is a very cool thing in winter) was giving off some smoke. We will definitely go back now that we have tried it.”

“We use their coupons about once a month & usually order the Chicken Bacon Artichoke and the All Meat. The Chicken Garlic is also very good. After paying online, we just pop in to the shop & our pizzas are always ready for pick-up, on time. Never a bad experience.”

“The food here is absolutely amazing!!!!! I had lemon thyme risotto with Scallops, my husband the Salmon. We had calamari for appetizer, and banana foster for dessert. Everything was cooked perfectly. The scallops were so tender and fresh. The ambience was nice, and I thought the drink selection was great. They do have kids menus if you want to bring your kids. It's probably the best food we have had in a while. Service was spot on. I highly recommend going here. It is a gem in the middle of nowhere, lol.”

“Stop here after a round of golf, and I must say the pepperoni pizza was absolutely the bomb. The crust was just the way I like it, not too crispy and not too chewy! “Literally the BEST Chinese food in El Dorado county. I had general chicken and it was out of this world. Everything was extremely fresh. When we walked in the staff was snapping peas at a table, very authentic food and excellent service. It's definitely called Wonderful Chinese food for a reason!”

“Visitng town and family recommended The Forester for dinner. From them, I found out the history of the Past and Present of the restaurant. The old location, the new and still shifting into full gear in some parts. Noting they are getting the flow going, sometimes felt a little hectic, but there were so many redeeming points. My favorite was having a small conversation with Helen after dinner. Bill she mentioned you as well! I had the Jagersnitzel w Kraut and Dumpling w Gravy. If you've experienced true German food before. You can appreciate this food greatly. The dumpling was spectacular, the pork was juicy while breading was soaking in the greatness from the mushroom gravy. We only visit a couple times of year and will make this a staple. “I LOVE this place! Though it may seem small, it makes up for that tenfold in heart. The person working the bakery window was so kind, and the slices of fresh pie were heated up for us, so how could we say no to a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top?! I enjoyed the berry and apple slice, and I also bought a frozen pie of the same variety to take home. Their selection of goods in the shop and frozen items is terrific!”

“I was visiting my twin brother Mike Smith over the summer and he took me to Jack Russell Brewery InCamino ( very beautiful area in the foothills of northern California) I'm not a beer drinker, but I do drink coffee. My brother bought me 2 bags of Olio Three Bean Blend. And I absolutley love this coffee. So far my brother has sent 5 bags since Aug 2023. More is on the way ! “Everything is pretty nice! They have flushable restrooms, a huge parking lot, all the apples you can possibly eat on a lifetime, friendly folks etc. But the real star is the amazing caramel apple shake. I will admit I am generally terrified of calories, so I stay away from shakes. HOWEVER, I will down that shake in 5 minutes without a single care. It's just perfect. I look forward to spending more time here soon!”
