This is my favorite deli!!! I found them getting music lessons across the lot and so glad I did. The sandwiches are delicious and the best part is that the ladies that work there are so nice and make me feel like I am at home with all of my aunts, cousins & Noni who have since passed on. Just gives me the feeling of my childhood in there. Love it!
The fam and I were feeling up to having sandwiches for lunch and being new to Redding, I wasn’t sure what was around so I did a quick google search and noticed Don’s sandwich shop and deli and am I glad I looked it up!! I ordered four sandwiches, the Addi aka the Reuben, fried pastrami with turkey, turkey sandwich with sourdough and avocado and the Cali was the last sandwich. Gem of a deli run by old ladies in what feels like their home kitchen. They were so welcoming and everything so genuine and heartfelt it felt like wandering off the farm into your aunt's house.
