El Zarape was really good. You order your food at the counter like a fast food place, then sit down and they bring it to you. The customer service was amazing. They brought me the green sauce to try, it was really good. I got tacos and my wife got a breakfast burrito.
No frills, but excellent food.El Zarape is a pretty basic Mexican food restaurant that is just off of Route 5 in Redding California. While the location may not be visually stunning, the staff is excellent, their attitudes helpful, and the food extremely tasty. There is an outdoor deck that is kid friendly and basic no frills interior seating. All in I rate it an A- for food and a B- for atmosphere.

Had the carnitas plate. It was among the best I’ve ever had and I grew up in So Cal and have been to Mexico many times. Friendly service, great food, reasonable prices. Go see for yourself!
